I liked the conversation that has sparked in the without Piper thread. Especially the idea of season 4 not introducing Paige and just focusing on the surviving sisters.
So if Charmed had continued for another season with just the remaining sisters and not Paige. How would you have liked to see it play out? What storylines would they do? How differently would Charmed Again play out without Paige, would we get more closure on the cliffhanger with Phoebe escaping the underworld?

I think that I'ld like if Paige came into play during season 5, leaving enough time for a story line about Leo, Piper, Cole and Phoebe
The writers'ld find another way for the storyline Cole/Source with Phoebe as his queen and I'ld like that Piper met Paige when she was alone and without hope to recover Phoebe

I'd still prefer just four seasons with no Paige ever since she messed the thing up by making having a whitelighter for a father more important than having a Warren for a mother, and including her would mean you'd have to include the Source again, and I'd prefer him staying away as far as possible.
Besides mourning Prue and trying to figure out what to do without her, I'd prefer the rest of Season Four being them finding out that they can still protect innocents just with their own powers (especially after Piper finding herself with Prue's astral projection and Phoebe finding herself with Prue's telekinesis, letting both sisters have three powers) and not the Power of Three. With Phoebe getting premonitions of innocents in danger and Piper's skill with potions, they didn't really need the Power of Three for the lower-level demons and warlocks who would go after innocents, and without the Power of Three, the Source and his henchman would have no need to go after the ex-Charmed Ones.
THAT would also be the perfect time for Piper and Leo to have a child, and Cole and Phoebe to get married (in a big, regular church wedding with no Source-infected Cole to mess it up) since Phoebe is already pregnant with a child of their own who could be just as good and just as special as Leo and Piper's - especially since both would only have a single Warren power since both are pure witches...the reason why Piper would have astral projection and Phoebe would have telekinesis - their children - although we wouldn't find out what they had or what names until we'd see the spin-off, which is what we'd get if the series continued after Season Four.
For me, that would be the perfect way to end the series.

In Brain Drain both Piper and Phoebe are tired to live as witches and they are suffering for Prue, they deserve to eliminate the Source and live as normal witches, with some innocents to save and a normal life to live
It'ld have happened without Cole's betrayal

I think Prue should've died facing the source. The explosion killed her and season five picks up from there. Definitely how I would want a season 4 to end, if Shannen left gracefully. A great way to open the fifth season, with a reset or new beginnings. The Source is gone and Paige being introduced in season 5 would flow nicely if the shift went back to innocents which it should after defeating The Source. She might get proper attention if the stories from season 4 didn't force her into a role meant for Prue to complete. |

I like this set-up, S4 would be quite interesting to see play out this way with the surviving sisters trying to get by.

Wouldn't this have made a great storyline in S6, instead of Chris, if the original three stayed and Prue didn't die, they did this with the sister's daughter coming from the future. Maybe it could tie into a dark future, without Gideon or an Elder, where the sisters lost their way, and became more like the ones in the Bad Bad World, all warlocks, and Paige goes back in time to fix it. Or something else happened, or tie it in with the Morality Bites future, with the modern day witch trials. It's what I didn't like about S6, they needed to show us the dark future on-screen more, don't tell show us.

I'd rather just the show end at four seasons and have Season 4 just Piper, Phoebe, Leo, and Cole working together. Helping, fighting evil, saving innocents. Leo and Cole bromance, that devil/angel on the girls' shoulders on how they go about things.

I like both ideas. I think Paige being their sister who happens to be their whitelighter would have been amazing, it would definitely be huge for female empowerment. Leaving Leo and Cole to have a "bromance" type of friendship with telling stories about the past and them being able to relate to each other. I also like the idea of Paige being either Phoebe's daughter from the future to make sure that her dark future doesn't happen especially with the modern day witch trials would have been an amazing angle to take. Either one of the ideas could have been an amazing alternative storyline to take, both of them would have amazing storylines and awesome results. |

I also like the idea of Paige being either Phoebe's daughter from the future to make sure that her dark future doesn't happen especially with the modern day witch trials would have been an amazing angle to take. I certainly love those two ideas as an alternate storyline. If Prue didn't die and the original power of three remained. Paige being the sisters new whitelighter would be interesting. Especially if she became a full whitelighter after dying in the car accident that killed her parents. But maybe she's slightly older when she died. Always surprised me they didn't go with a female whitelighter for female empowerment and make the show more female centric. |
