I saw this being discussed somewhere but I thought it would be a fun thread. If Paige was Phoebe, Prue, and Piper's whitelighter, what would you have happen? Would Leo have left? When would it have happened?

It just depends on how they handle Paige and use her dears. As long as she truly *cannot* replace any of the sisters and can *never* become one of the Charmed Ones. While remaining a whitelighter and not a hybrid. Now for a reboot, yes perhaps having a fourth sister or a sibling being the whitelighter might work.
I'm assuming this question is in regards to Paige still being introduced with Prue alive and the original power of three remaining. And not introducing Paige, with Prue alive but one of the sisters still dies. Just to be clear.

I think I'm the one who mentioned Paige as a possible whitelighter for the sisters in a different thread.
In that one, I said I liked the idea of Leo giving up his wings as the ultimate wedding gift to Piper and when their innocent, Paige, is killed during 'All Hell Breaks Loose' rather than one of the sisters, she becomes a whitelighter (before this her only power was to orb since the three Warren powers were already held by her three half-sisters) and becomes the sisters' whitelighter - with them finding out that Paige is their half-sister.
This means that as an ex-whitelighter, Leo would be able to help Paige learn how to guide her charges and how to use her powers. And, of course, he'd still guide them, too - just wouldn't always go up to ask the Elders - save that for Paige.
That would fix SO many problems, letting the original three remain the Charmed Ones while still letting Paige be part of the family - AND keep Piper from whining about her normal life, since Leo would be able to help her have a more normal one at home (they'd move into Dan's house next door).
This also means that Wyatt and Chris would not be Piper and Leo's. I like them having Melinda - just a normal witch with a single non-Warren power - while Wyatt becomes Phoebe and Cole's Turner who is a witch with demonic powers and Chris becomes Paige and Henry's who is a witch with whitelighter powers. Same storyline, but cousins (well, half-cousins, but you know what I mean), so it's not just all about one family. Melinda would be the straw that breaks the camel's back - when Turner kills Melinda in the future, that's when Chris goes to the past...
What would happen from there? That's for better minds than mine to figure out!!
How 'bout it? IF you like this idea, what would you have happen next?
Oh, did you notice? This means the leader of the Charmed Ones, Prue, remains single and just enjoys being auntie...

I actually like the idea of Piper and Leo not getting Melinda until the end of the series. Let Phoebe handle Wyatt, once Cole is dead, and that being her storyline without the need to look for the baby daddy because he is dead. But incorporating Billie and Christy into the plot, imagine Kill Billie Vol. 2 ending with all three Charmed Ones dead, with just Paige standing. I'll have to think more on this, but Es you have set a good starting point for some ideas.

I really like the idea of Paige becoming their whitelighter so that she can be a part of the family while none of her sisters have to die. But maybe Paige herself doesn't have to die either. Maybe since she always had the ability to orb, it means that after much practice, she would naturally discover the ability to do other whitelighter things as well like heal (which we saw in the show), sense charges, etc.
And I thought Leo was at his best when he was a whitelighter, but if he becomes a father and is busy working with Paige, teaching her how to be a whitelighter herself and continuing to be a support system for the sisters, I can see him being plenty busy and putting his skills to good use. He could even become a counselor or something after a few years to continue his passion for guiding people, only this time without magic.
But Paige wouldn't have to die because she technically didn't receive any Charmed powers, or wouldn't until one of her sisters happens to die. Therefore she could continue to age like she always has, alongside her sisters and Leo and any kids they have, and perhaps still be able to keep being a social worker. Maybe the sisters find out through another encounter with Sam that they have a younger sister out there, they find her, and being introduced to magic is what wakes Paige's whitelighter powers up to the point where she can start using them on command rather than just as a fear response.
I also liked the idea of taking the kids we knew about in the showâWyatt, Chris, and Melindaâ and instead of giving them all to Piper and Leo, which kept the focus on just their family, spread them out between the sisters. It keeps the focus of siblings on the sisters, where it was originally and where it belongs, and the next generation as cousins is fitting because it isn't just one sister's kids. And I loved the idea of Prue not being a mom. I think she's had enough of having to be a mother figure in her life and that she truly wouldn't want to have kids of her own.

Paige as their white lighter is a great idea. I can think of some possible scenario for this...
Maybe Paige was already a full time seasoned whitelighter by the time of the events of AHBL. Not someone leaning how to be magical like we got seasons 4 to 6 until coming into her own somewhere in season 7 onward.
In this scenario Paige had already been guided all her life by other whitelighters throughout her childhood due to her special circumstances of having whitelighter powers from birth. The elders had discovered her when she was young and First demonstrated her abilities, but they didnât know at the time how she got her powers or who she really was but just decided to assign her a whitelighter to guide her. And by the time of AHBL she was already a full time whitelighter with charges but also trying to live a normal life on earth being that the elders tried to keep her life as normal as possible. She was a unique type of whitelighter.
So when piper called for a lost witch in season 4, Paige kept appearing to her. Paige is frustrated demanding to know why pipers keeps calling her and piper denies summoning her. Paige feels really sorry for piper and phoebes loss but is still no sure why sheâs being summoned. Tells piper to stop casting the spell but Piper does not. Both donât yet know their connection but all are surprised a blood to blood spell keeps summoning Paige. Every time Paige appears to piper after casting the spell piper is like âCrap, you again!â And Paige is like âStop calling me? I donât have time for this?â
Paige then goes to the elders to find answers and then is told sheâs being assigned to them as their new white lighter and all her other charges being reassigned. The elders by this time had already since figured out who Paige was sometime in the past and had already taken the issue up with patty and grams. But all decided it was best to still keep it a secret from Paige and the sisters.
Paige being a seasoned whitelighter and being used to fighting off demons for her charges on her own is already uniquely in a position to guide the two sisters and even assume sort of the older sister role though sheâs younger. She has accumulated lots of knowledge of different kinds of demons and warlocks over the years and had confronted many.
Paige doesnât like the new assignment as sheâs used to working alone. She had also always strongly disapproved of phoebe dating Cole. Cole as Balthazar had come after her charges numerous times in the past, and had attached her a number of times. Also Paige never liked Leo dating piper as she was his charge. She had actually confronted Leo about it over the years in whitelighter meetings disapproving of his moves since she knew about his past and how he was during the young days of grams. But Paige eventually grows to appreciate all of this.
All 3 sisters figure something is going on after Paige is assigned to them when Paige discovers she suddenly has new orbing Powers and then the BOS glowed and the power of 3 seemingly reconstituted when all three got near the book. Piper thinks itâs a sick joke the elders are playing on them to force a charmed ones scenario on the 3 of them, and Paige doesnât find it funny either being suddenly made a charmed one. Itâs not an assignment or scenario she wants. Phoebe on the other hand had felt some close connection to Paige through her empath powers but couldnât figure Paige out so she wants Paige to stick around till she figures more out.
And as usual like before, Shax is now coming after Paige specifically and the 3 discover they do have the power of 3 to vanquish shax. This prompts the sisters to start asking questions. That famous scenario at the fireplace e with phoebe and piper. Cole shimmers in after doing some investigating and finding out the source believes Paige is a lost sister and right after that Paige orbs in to tell then that the elders asked her to have the sisters summon grams and ask her about who she is. Then the whole piper storming up to the attic thing đ
And also, because of Paigeâs new assignment as a charmed one and being their new whitelighter, the elders summon Paige to the bridge to tell her sheâs not allowed up there anymore. At least for a long time. Their meetings will always now occur on the bridge. That itâs for the best to help her focus on her new sisters and bond. The action is necessary to prevent Paige from possibly disappearing all the time for long periods of time, away from her sisters to be up there with them. Paige probably was used to spending a lot of time up there meditating and listening to a call from her charges. She wasnât to work that way anymore. Paige isnât thrilled with their decision but learns to live with it. Good thing is Paige knows almost all the elders personally so is able to know when decisions being made are sincere and who probably had made them. And is able to advice piper and phoebe when to trust them or not.

That is actually the *best* way to set up a proper next generations and spin-off series dear. Set on three cousins, so neither can become the next Charmed Ones, but at the same time all three have grown up together that they feel like sisters. Which is what was rumored that Alyssa and Shannen wanted last year. But Prue has her motherly instincts that she would make the best aunt to her nieces or nephews. Still being the leader, and protecting her family as usual.

Wow, I love everyone's ideas! They sound really neat and would love to have this happen if it could in some kind of alternate universe or reboot even. I'm not sure how I would do it since I would keep Piper's kids around with their powers. Oh well, keep on posting the awesome ideas!

If it was a reboot, I actually would have all four sisters raised together. But I'd make Paige the oldest, and the one who takes care of her younger siblings when Victor or Patty passes, so they wouldn't be raised by Grams in this reboot. She would be their whitelighter eventually. I'll have to think more about what happens and how it plays out.
