I don't know if everybody's already heard about this or not, but she is in remission from her cancer! She said herself that it could come back at some point, and that the next five years are going to be kind of a waiting game to see, but this is still a really positive direction for her.

I am so happy for Shannen. I hope these next 5 years go well for her and she and Holly repair their relationship, if the rumours are true about them. I wasn't even aware of any rumours and I just looked it up on Perez - sad after close to 30 years. But, they're both adults, maybe the cancer did drift them apart. I doubt if Holly had absolutely no one to call and vice-versa they'd be there for each other but they might have just come to a mutual understanding they don't have much in common anymore. |

We can hope for the best. Let's wait and see, next year is Charmed's 20th anniversary and would hate them not talking ruining a potential reunion for the cast like they did recently with Buffy this year. It is so funny how Shannen and Alyssa have patched things up, and Alyssa kept in touch with Shannen through her cancer. But the one friend who was her BFF has fallen out with her or vice-versa. Well what can you do. This is life. |

I think that this reboot should take advantage of Shannen Doherty while she is in remission as well as still living. She could appear just as Grams, Patty, and the matriarchs had in the past. I think that Shannen alone from the previous cast appearing in the first few episodes of the reboot could WoW fans while still leaving the progression of the series after she left intact. Just my thought...

That's what I've been hoping for but with the way things are between the Classic Charmed actors and the producers of the reboot, I doubt that we'll see any of the Classic Charmed actors on the reboot.
And there doesn't sound like there will be a Grams on the reboot, so whoever they'd play it wouldn't be that. It sounds like it's their mother who just died. Hopefully they make a liar out of me and let Shannen play her.

This could make it possible for her to feasibly come back to life. It is also possible that the three sisters from the reboot could be Phoebe's, she's the only sister to have all girls. You never know, this could be a major plot twist, bringing Phoebe in as their mom later in the season. |

Great ideas phoebe50, but unfortunately this reboot will have nothing to do with the original classic Charmed series. It's going to focus on a new set of sisters and the family name is Pruitt. If it were Phoebe's daughters, the series would have to be set 20 years from now, for the ages to work out. I'd love to be proven wrong and they do hire Shannen to play the role of their mother or family member. I don't see it being Alyssa she's busy with a new series, Rose certainly won't be involved with her other commitments with her MeToo stuff, and Holly is complaining about it so much that she clearly doesn't want to be in it. So Shannen might be the only one who we could see doing it, but I'm not so sure. |
