Does any have any idea how to find out what songs play within the episodes on Netflix? I have a book that list the songs on each episode on TV and DVD called Triquetra: The unofficial and unauthorised guide to Charmed by Keith Topping. It discusses every episode from season one through seven. I wish he revised it with season 8 added.
Which do you prefer the original music or the new music they change specifically for Netflix? What are some of the songs you like? My favorite scene with music is in season four when Paige and Piper go into Phoebe's bedroom after they vanquish Cole and they lay down with her and they play Sarah Polley's Courage.

Disclaimer: I had posted in here, prior, but I felt like re-doing my whole list because music is my thing, and I feel like I didn't put in enough effort to show my full appreciation, to the music provided, by the show, but I digress. Between having all of the original songs written down (by watching my DvDs) vs watching the streaming service (Amazon Prime) version, I've definitely compiled a list, together. Linked artists & songs means, I couldn't find them on Spotify. Titles (episode and/or song) may or may not be shortened due to providing more room, in the chart(s). Due to my hardwork in identifying episodes that don't provide aerial views of SF, here, I was able to identify some of the "newer" songs that replaced most (not all, I'm surprised to still hear some of the same songs in both versions, but I digress) of the songs, by utilizing Tunefind. I helped organized it by placing "Original", "Netflix/Amazon Prime", "P3 Performance", etc., labels next to each song identified. I haven't done it to all the songs but most of them. Some of the replaced songs still need to be identified. In fact, us Charmed fans still have an old song, ourselves, to identify, that nobody has ever been able to identify S1E5 "Dream Sorcerer" Aerial View of SF Song, so that's a project, in and of itself, but I digress. Let's get to work! My ultimate Charmed List, on Spotify. A few of the songs are from the "Replaced" list. See below for which ones. My Favorite Aerial View of SF SongsThese are the original songs, from the DvDs and not the new songs from the streaming services via Netflix and/or Amazon Prime. Same SongsSongs that are the same from DvD to Amazon Prime (that I noticed) - P3 Performances

- (S5E14 "Sand Francisco Dreamin'") The Chordettes - Mr. Sandman

- (S8E20 "Gone With the Witches") Pink - I'm Not Dead
My Favorite Songs From the Replaced List- (S1E7 "The Fourth Sister") Rachel Loy - Looking Up
- (S1E8 "The Truth is Out There...and it Hurts") Entice - Breathe it In
- (S1E12 "The Wendigo") Jodie May - Oh What a Day
- (S1E19 "Out of Sight") The Parlotones - Sun Comes Out

- (S2E9 "Ms. Hellfire") Unrated - Keep Running
- (S2E10 "Heartbreak City") Leslie Hunt - All The Way
- (S4E6 "A Knight to Remember") Hungry Lucy - Into Pieces

- (S5E13 "House Call") Analogue Revolution - My World Revolves Around You
- (S7E22 "Something Wicca This Way Goes") The Heroes Lie - Heartless Evil
EDIT: I can't stress enough how much "*Replaced* (S2E10 'Heartbreak City') Leslie Hunt - All The Way" has been an absolute banger, for me! The song changes were a blessing in disguise, for me, IMO. Now, I can't help but visualize Phoebe & Cole with this song. Which is ironic 'cause this is used in "Heartbreak City", when Phoebe is left behind, while her sisters are off with their partners. I think this song is better than the original, sorry not sorry!

Just finished watching the Season 1 remastered free-to-air on demand and absolutely hate how the music is replaced throughout the remastered versions.
Everytime the Theme Song comes on a cringe with the replacement Opening Credits.
And the worst is in De Ja Vu All Over Again where "Calling All/On? Angels is replaced by another song.
I feel like that song is a tribute to Andy.
is the reason why the music is replaced because they couldn't obtain permission/copyright ?

Just finished watching the Season 1 remastered free-to-air on demand and absolutely hate how the music is replaced throughout the remastered versions. Everytime the Theme Song comes on a cringe with the replacement Opening Credits. Yes, I did mention in my big post that watching the show outside of the DvDs (or reruns on TV), the songs will be different. And, I've mentioned this (several times) around the board, that some (not all) of the replacement songs aren't that bad. IK during the re-watch of S4E6 "A Knight to Remember", when Piper is reminiscing (in Prue's room), I prefer the replaced song over the original. I've actually been hosting a few "DvD vs Streaming Service" polls (on Reddit) regarding these song changes. OFC, the majority of them still prefer the original music over the replaced music. But, some of the replaced songs have gotten some votes as being the prefer choice. Even I have went against the original music, at times. Like I said, there's still songs that just cannot replace the original music. I don't accept any other song besides Sarah Polley's "Courage" for S4E20 "Long Live the Queen" scene with Piper & Paige comforting a distressed Phoebe. And the worst is in De Ja Vu All Over Again where "Calling All/On? Angels is replaced by another song. I feel like that song is a tribute to Andy. I do know how you feel. Like I said, only one song works for that one "Long Live the Queen" scene, for me. I will say (however) the replacement song (Alicia Grant - Sweet Memories) is not a bad replacement song. What's funny is that song is played (at least) twice, throughout the streaming service version of S1. The other time is in S1E11 "Feats of Clay", when Phoebe and Clay are eating Chinese food, by the fire place. It's a beautiful song. is the reason why the music is replaced because they couldn't obtain permission/copyright ? It's usually the reason. Hence why even the S8 DvDs don't have the original theme song. Some good news, though, the P3 performances are still the same and not replaced. And, there are some songs that haven't changed, which I think listed which ones are still the same. It's usually the really old songs or "too new-ish" that are still a part of the show.

From the S3E19 "The Demon who Came in from the Cold" Re-Watch Thread: The post-credits song have returned. It's been a minute. Guess the episode ran too short so they needed some filler. LOL Yeah, S3 didn't have too many Post-Intros. At most, there was 7 (including "generic" post-intros with "generic" music) out of 22. S3 did make-up the post-intro music format with P3 performances, as S3 is the champion for "most P3 performances" compared to any other season. Take that as you will.
