Another good idea for a family business could've been a paranormal investigation company which dealt with magical cases like Angel Investigations did which the sisters would've got paid for obviously so some episodes could've dealt with those like haunted houses and people possessed for instance.
As a human front it could've doubled up as a PI company and dealt with normal things like cheating spouses or getting info for court cases etc which like the catering business could've started in the Manor and then progressed into a building when they had the money.
This is the plan I done for my original character in my fan fiction series who did this after the Gideon situation subsequent to losing her jobs.

What if the Sisters powers were never bound?
I mean by time they were in their 20's would they even really need to power of 3? After 10 years her powers were already dang near city level and by the end of season 8 she was able to vanquish a triad member with her molecular combustion power. If she had 20+ years to grow her power could she handle most Upper level demons herself. With Phoebe we saw her empathic ability let her channel other powers and use it against them. Prue and her releasing Kinetic energy that was attic level and Paige sending body parts across the globe after like 10 years.
Would Grams still be alive? Could Phoebe have bested Barbas with her empathy power?

What if Cole was raised by his father?
I always had some fanfic in my head. That Cole would be raised to be good by his father. And would be trained by witches/coven who would teach him how to use/control his powers. And how he would fight the demons. Would be interesting to see sisters reaction to Cole who was always good!

Seeing as there could be possibly billion or even an infinite amount of scenarios and it would’ve gotten confusing if everything got chunked into this one thread, I made another thread for listing all those infinite scenarios: thecharmedcafe.proboards.com/thread/12241/charmed-list-all-scenarios. List whatever scenario which comes into your mind in that thread. Then pick and choose which one you wanna discuss in detail in this thread  I did post in that thread with one "What If" scenario: don’t repeat the scenarios I'm just going to bluntly state, I'm not going to sit here and read 6 pages of responses to a 4 year old post (at the time of writing this post, this thread is 4 years old). That being said, I'm just going to say one "what if", and if it's a "repeat", oh well. What if Phoebe died, instead, and Prue & Piper reconstituted the Charmed Ones by recruiting Paige? And, Paige's powers work similarly as they do, now. Paige will get premonitions similarly to how she dreamed about the Titans. Her Telekinetic Orbing would be Empathic Orbing, instead. Seeing as how Phoebe's Empathy powers (in S6) acted like "Telekinesis", I don't see how Paige's Telekinetic Orbing would function any differently, under the Empathetic Orbing umbrella. She'll still have to vocalize everything back. Paige would Levitate, just like Phoebe, on top of still having Orbing and call it an extension of her Orbing abilities. Makes sense, in my head. That being said, I'mma link both of these threads, in each of my "counterpart" posts, so I can keep my posts, organized. That being said, I thought of another "What If" scenario, regarding Billie (because I like her character and feel she deserves some closure). I've posted it in a multitude of threads, but I think I found the "culprit" version of said "what if" scenario: thecharmedcafe.proboards.com/thread/224/different-series?page=1 . The only thing I wished that happened differently was a better wrap up, for Billie's character. We can still give that "cliff-hanger" vibe, after the Charmed Ones ending, we can end it off with Billie "projecting" to her sister, to try to "fix" killing her. Like, she vanquishes the Demon, that took Christy, in the first place, and she sees her parents, again (who walk in into the bedroom, after hearing screams and loud explosions). The camera hones in on Billie, who's smiling (like a smirk smile) and the show ends. |

It's been over a month, since I've replied to this thread, and it's OK for me to "back to back" post, as long as 24 hours has passed, per the rules of this board. That being said, I'm bumping up this thread because I had mentioned a "What If" scenario that is being currently talked about elsewhere and wanted to bring that conversation here. The "What If" in question: -What if Phoebe owned P3 instead of Piper? As discussions in this thread began talking about P3, in general. Some of the responses: I do however wished Piper brought Quake and renamed it to Halliwell's instead of opening P3 since they were adults I would have preferred them to be in an adult setting rather than be in a nightclub I couldn't understand even after 10+ years of watching Charmed, why they decided that a nightclub would have been the best environment for the sisters to be in and not a restaurant? With Buffy I could understand why, they were teenagers to young adults however the Charmed Ones were established to be adults. why they decided that a nightclub would have been the best environment for the sisters to be in and not a restaurant? In the What If thread, I posted here about: -What if Phoebe owned P3 instead of Piper? Because Phoebe was still a young adult growing into maturity compared to her sisters Prue & Piper. I think Phoebe owning the club would've made more sense, IMO and the "hang out" being over there because she does love her sisters and wants to be around them. Meanwhile, both Prue & Piper would be picking up her slack especially Piper LOL I do like the concept of P3 but just think Phoebe should've owned it, instead, personally especially earlier Phoebe. Me either, I don't get why they wanted a nightclub, it was so out of character for Piper to want one. I think this was a demand from the WB. Like you said, they were adults, but, Phoebe would enjoy a nightclub I think still, since she was still rather young in her early to mid 20s, but certainly not Piper and Prue, the later nearly 30. Now if the sisters visited some nightclub somewhere in town here and there, sure, but a permanent location. They didn't really do anything longterm, other than promote bands, and did they ever really dig deep into Piper as a business owner, we barely saw much from her working, than than needing scenes at P3 when a band played. I could see Phoebe being into the nightclub scene, I agree with the fact that Prue and Piper wouldn't have been so into it I agree that the network likely had them in a nightclub to put them in club-type outfits and have music, things meant to be easy for younger people to be drawn to. I'll always wish they had just let the characters be more themselves, though. Piper didn't have to go from restaurant manager straight to restaurant owner, nor did she have to go straight to owning a business in a building either. It would have made sense for her to open her own catering company that she ran out of the manor kitchen, and expanded from there. That way she can still be involved in food, but have a more realistic path to becoming a restaurant owner. If they really wanted to include a nightclub, they could have had a love interest of one of the sisters be the owner or manager, or perhaps they make friends with another witch who is in one of those positions, and they (especially Phoebe, because it's her type of environment) are there once every few episodes. That being said, I wanted to go more in depth with my other "What If" part: -What if Paige already worked at and continued working at the Bay Mirror instead of Phoebe? I kind of always felt Paige was more open-minded in doing her own thing even if it was against the wishes of her sisters. Something that is strongly seen in S8. I was getting Prue vibes watching her interact with other people, and I think she advises people better than Phoebe. And, I think it has something to do with the fact that she's half-whitelighter, and whitelighters tend to be more empathetic to their charges. I'm even on the bandwagon that Paige should've had Empathy over Phoebe, but I digress. |
