What if we had the ability to manipulate the series of Charmed into having a totally different ending? Imagine the stun value if it ended after eight years the way All Hell Breaks Loose ended...especially if there was never an ending like that for the show. And this time we knew 110% it wouldn't be coming back for another year. Could you imagine the fans reaction/response to that series ending scene?

Im guessing it would give some really pissed fans world wide and a demand that they shall continue for 1 or 2 season more to complete it properly. Just look at how pissed the fans of Jerico was and still is about the way they just killed the show.

OMG,would I be so angry. That would be horrible. You just can't end a show like that, I understand why people get so angry over shows that just end with cilff-hangers. I mean if that was the ending of Charmed, man would I be doing something about it.

I'd be uber mad. If they were to kill a sister on Charmed, I'd much prefer to see a funeral, rather then it just end the way AHBL did.

I think we all agree with each other lol. I would never have wanted Charmed to end just like that, hate cliff-hangers! Great SEASON finale! But for a SERIES finale, no way!

it's always kinda fun when a season is a cliff-hanger (though the wait is agonizing)! but absolutely NEVER a series. to me that can be disrespectful to the fans!

I think the sentiment has been universal, so far, that nobody really would want such an ending, with no further resolution. I've seen shows end like that and it was less than satisfying. Personally, I like the way the show ended. I agree with many that it would have been neat to have SD back (or even a role for the Daryl character), but that just was not going to happen and we were told it wasn't long before the episode was shot.
An example of a show which did end mostly that way, for those old enough to remember, was Above and Beyond. It was a SciFi show about a group of Marines caught up in a battle with an Alien race. It was interesting, I thought, but despite the fact there was a war going on, it ended with several (about half) of the main cast facing definite life threatening situations (almost surely they would not survive). And then, that was it. No resolution, just surviviors and presumed dead. Didn't feel right, even though that's what really happens in war.

I see no problem with it. I would of been quite happy for it to end that way. All Hell Breaks Loose was my favourite episode ever, nothing comes close. I love diaster movies and shows. Happy endings like FC are so blah!
It also leaves perfect room for a Spin Off. Kill Billie would of been a perfect ending, with just either Paige orbing back into the destruction and it ending or it ending just after Leo was returned, a crying Piper end. PERFECT!

Okay so someone agrees with me! I really don't like happy endings either. They are pedestrian and cliché. I like something different.
I thought the ending to All Hell Breaks Loose was brilliant. It was probably the best episode out if the series along with the best ending.
Yes, lol they should have killed that Billie off! I would have been very happy for that lol. Someone needed to die. Instead of that happy cheery ending. It was too fan fic for me.

In the new Charmed magazine there is an interview with Brad Kern, and he says he would have loved to put a picture of Prue on the wall at the very end of the series finale, but then he goes on to say, that he couldn't do that because then he would have to pay S.D. for that episode of Charmed, and then he would have no money left for Victor, Patty, Grams, the other family members. And he said, obviously he would choose to bring back Victor, etc. Arghh...Billie and Christy should have been the ones to go, to leave enough money. They should not have been in the very last episode. TCO's battle against Billie and Christy should have ended (well IMO should have never existed, but to be realistic), in Kill Billie Vol. 2. If they were gone, Kern would've had the money to bring back Darryl and an image of Prue for the finale. O and let's not forget, if there was no Billie and Christy the show would've had the money to have Leo for a full season.

Kern would've had the money to bring back Darryl and an image of Prue for the finale. Let's not go overboard on the returns here. Darryl would have no puprpose to come back for the series finale. He couldn't arrest somebody and above all... It would be creepy to see him hugging Grams.

Who said anything about him hugging Grams, that would be creepy. It would have been nice to have seen him once more with just TCO's.

They also could have put Darryl and Sheila in the flashforward where they show a scene from Phoebe and Coop's wedding.

Henry was in Phoebe and Coop's wedding scene.
Sam wasn't because...well, why would Sam be attending Phoebe's wedding?

I'm also creeping out at that idea! But giggled thinking about it!
I'm also in the camp where rather than this "happy ever after" barfy ending that we got, I would've preferred if we had seen the sisters battle a TRUE Ultimate Evil (and Billie and Christy were SO much less evil than The Source or Zankou or others...) but have them battle those evils in order to save innocents, not just to save their own family, and then actually have an explosion similar to Kill Billie, Vol 2, but let no one get out of it alive. You could see Leo and Victor and the kids (and just Wyatt and Chris; no worries about whether they have a sister or not) mourning the deaths and maybe have a funeral for the sisters, and then as Victor, carrying one of the boys, and Leo carrying the others, walk off, with their heads down, we see the ghosts of the sisters watching them as they walk off. To me, that would've made a lot more appropriate ending for Charmed, besides leaving the door open for a spinoff.
And if they didn't have money to do the last season properly, then I truly wish they had not done the last season at all and rather than using astral projections, let the sisters actually face Zankou and the Nexus themselves, sacrificing themselves for the better good, and then Darryl can be part of the scene I just mentioned above. Since Darryl was part of the show from the beginning, he deserved to be part of the ending rather than the way they threw him out during Season 8.
It would've given us a chance to both mourn the sisters and mourn the end of our show. Best of all. NO BILLIE & CHRISTY SCREWING UP THE LAST SEASON! The last season would've been about the *CHARMED ONES*, not the Jenkinses! And we never would've had to see Piper treating Leo like her own little errand boy or someone else playing Old Leo who didn't even look like old Leo. It would've been SOOO much better!
Although if you *really* want to know how I would've ended the show, you'd have to read either Aurora Nightstar's "The Root of All Evil" or our "The Warren Curse" or Team Wyatt's "Morality STILL Bites". Those would be even better!
