Cole and Phorebe's crazy relationship - SAM I AM

Watching this episode again today I came to realize that Cole and Phoebe could never really live together in harmony as long as both of them were alive, even if they weren't a couple. Even while separated phoebe could not leave Cole alone. she wanted to always make sure Cole wasn't up to something. Whether trying to be good or being evil it didn't matter. Almost seemed like them being together was better for everyone than being apart

(In piper's club, Paige just breaks up with a guy and walks over to Phoebe and sits down beside her.)

Paige: Breaking up is such a downer.

Phoebe: Yeah, honey, well, practice makes perfect. Well, you know, I mean, if it's not right, it's not right. Why wasn't it right?

Paige: I don't know, I could kinda just tell it wasn't really going anywhere so I thought I'm gonna cut this one off at the pass before it gets messy and he likes me too much.

Phoebe: Okay, if you say so. At least you don't have to worry about if he's gonna attack again.

Paige: Is that some sort of Cole segue?

Phoebe: Yeah, well, now that you mention him, um, he hasn't contacted me in a while.

Paige: That's a good thing, right?

Phoebe: Yeah, it is for me, I'm just worried about the rest of humanity, you know. Cole doesn't just do nothing, which means he's up to something. And now that he knows that we're definitely not together anymore, I'm afraid that something might be evil.

And in coles apartment

(The elevator dings. The Avatars disappear. The elevator doors open and Phoebe walks in.)

Phoebe: Back to your old self again, huh?

Cole: Get outta here.

Phoebe: Did you kill two people last night?

Cole: I don't have time for this.

Phoebe: Well, you better make time for this.

Cole: I can't be good, I won't be evil. What do you want from me?

Phoebe: I want an answer.

Cole: Yes. I killed those two criminals. And you wanna know something else? It was easy, it felt very natural. Is that what you wanted to hear?

Phoebe: You just don't get it do you? They weren't only two criminals, they were two human beings, Cole.

Cole: Spare me the judgmental crap. You have no idea what I'm going through right now.

Phoebe: No, I don't and I don't wanna know.

Cole: Then why are you still here?

Phoebe: I'm here to warn you. If you kill another person, good or evil, I will vanquish you.

(She heads back to the elevator.)

Cole: You really think you have the power to vanquish me?

Phoebe: Try me.

(She walks into the elevator and the doors shut.)

Cole: I might just do that.

S5 phoebe and Cole could worked with better writing. No phoebe's COLE IS EVIL! No crazy Cole.

I hated Phoebe in this episode. Her not even allowing Cole the relief of death by his own hands. But only when she allows it, just disgusting!

I think in season five they tried to make it seem like Phoebe had gotten over the pain of heartbreak and become a "stronger" person. But that for Cole it had gone the other way, because Phoebe was "SO" wonderful, and he couldn't have her, he went nuts, too bad they wrote it REALLY badly. Because Phoebe just came across as a heartless cow.

Phoebe and Cole would never have worked so long she didn't accept all of him including Belthazor/Source as well as lawyer Cole whom she really liked.

Those two were just too volatile together and the fact she and her sisters didn't try to save him first instead of straight up vanquish him season 4 well there you go then.

Phoebe wanted him to be something he wasn't which she tried doing although some people might disagree and she knew from "Sleuthing With Enemy" what he was like in terms of being a demon who'd killed people for over a century yet she still stayed with him so her complaining about Cole season 5 wasn't justified really.

How what happened to her and him before that was a two way street actually not all him.

She choose to be Queen Of The Underworld and with him knowing full well what was going on despite being pregnant obviously.

Of course Cole went mad the way she and her sisters treated him.

If Phoebe had any sense she'd have gone away sorted herself out then come back held up her hands and admitted her part in the Queen/Source bit like Cole admitted his divorced him then if she wanted and left it at that but she couldn't do it could she?

Barbas was right when he said Phoebe had a hand in Cole killing those people in the bar because her actions drove him to it.

Deep down when something went wrong Phoebe fought it better to blame someone else than omit it was either her or part of her obviously.

That's why Cole should never have come back or left amicably after "Witch's Tail" least he would've avoided the bad writing which didn't help him.

This relationship should have never been. It was doomed from the beginning since Cole knew who he was dealing with. He had a plan but his love for Phoebe came in between but with losing his demonic powers and gaining new ones, it all made it even more complicated.

For Phoebe it was always easier to blame someone else instead of her. It seems like she and Cole were like fire and ice!
