So did the Elders make Kyle a whitelighter just to punish Paige so she knew he was out there but she could never reach him? Piper seemed to imply it and come to think of it there wasn't really any good reason he deserved to be a whitelighter

I think it was meant as a punishment in the sense they couldn't see each other and if they tried go through the trials that her own relationship went through in 3

Kyle tried to prevent the Avatars from going ahead with their plan for "utopia", because he knew it was a big mistake. He deserved being a whitelighter more than Leo did at that point.

Kyle tried to prevent the Avatars from going ahead with their plan for "utopia", because he knew it was a big mistake. He deserved being a whitelighter more than Leo did at that point.

Exactly.

Brody made a huge sacrifice in his relationship with Paige to protect the world from their free will being taken away from them, by the Avatars.  If that's not whitelighter worthy, IDK what is :/
