The lack of the Prue/Phoebe conflict/personality differences

I was just thinking about how Season 5 lacked a bit of sisterly conflict that was interesting in the first 3 seasons and reared it's head at the beginning Season 4 with Piper accepting/tolerating Paige and between Phoebe and Paige and even Piper vs. Phoebe in LLTQ.

I know at the beginning of Season 5 there is this want for Paige to be independent and have her own identity separate from Piper and Phoebe but this all is resolved at the end of Centennial Charmed.

What do people think about there being more of conflict or contrast between Piper and Paige, with Phoebe being the mediator like Piper was with Prue and Piper?

Do you think the writers should have worked that angle over the course of Seasons 5 - 8?

It would be great if they had tried. But the writers were lazy like how Victor was all of a sudden accepting Paige and his daughters forgave him.It would've been better to show the sisters working thir problems out instead of love interests and new powers.

I don't think they should've replicated the Prue and Phoebe conflict, as that is their story and not necessarily the story of Piper and Paige. Piper is not Prue, and Paige is not Phoebe. In a way, I like that they didn't replicate them to be that just because Piper is the oldest sister by default, now.
