Better replacement for Paige?

I think Charisma would have made a really good Prue They'd have to explain why her looks changed but hey its magic.

She would've if she started as Prue. But once Shannen played Prue, I wouldn't want anyone else to play her, just like I can't imagine anyone else playing Piper or Phoebe. It's the only reason I'm glad they're giving the reboot sisters different names.

I would've loved to see Charisma playing Paige.

Charisma Carpenter never was in the running, that pure fanon, and not true at all. She was a regular on Angel at the time on its second season as Cordelia.

So many fanon facts find a way to be said as true. I've never read an interview or heard Charisma speak about this.

Besides, I can't see her playing Paige, as the youngest sister, given she's older than even Shannen. But, she could pull it off being the youngest, actually given she was much older than Cordelia was, so actually, maybe I'm wrong, she could. But her very shorter hair she had when she cut it on Angel made her look older, so she'd have to have a long-haired wig, to pull off playing Paige. They don't always cast people based on age, and plenty of actors play much older or much younger.

But back to what I said, she was never in the running for Paige. Pure fanon.

I voted for Jennifer. I think she'd be so much fun as Paige, and if, she still went to Ghost Whisperer, that started when Charmed was doing S8, then Charmed would end at S7. Assuming, she could get out of her Charmed contract. That would be fantastic.

Were they ever really going to consider recasting Prue. WOW!, I'm glad they didn't. If they did, I'm sure it would be like in the comics, with Prue now jumping into a new body.

I love Prue, but not to the point, I'd want her recast, so Prue can stay on the show and not die.

Your right, that the Charmed Wiki is known to do this, post false facts as truth all the time as part of fanon.

I take issues with this for two reasons:

As a long lost relative, OFC she's not gonna have the closest relationship with Phoebe & Piper as Prue did. As S4E6 "A Knight to Remember" pointed out.

Secondly, she's a HALF sister. She doesn't necessarily have to look EXACTLY like them. I'm white and got a half-sister who's black. You wouldn't know we're related by simply looking at us.

And, if this is your reason for thinking Rose shouldn't have been casted, fine but just know that being a HALF sibling goes by different rules than full blooded ones.

Rose McGowan I'm a huge fan of since Scream so naturally I adore her and they chose perfectly she was the energy and vibe the show needed much as I adored Prue so much and missed Shannen rose was a fantastic replacement with a similar cult TV film aesthetic as Shannen and Alyssa

The only controversial one I feel was miscast was HMC I never fully clicked with her character ....like Shannen, Alyssa, Rose all felt authentically the character and I could connect with but Holly bar a few episodes In season 1 and then season 4 where she had to kick into gear a bit more and the final season without Leo dependency. She never connected for me the same way

Maybe it's just the acting style or delivery of lines that felt chariscature but alas

I'm fine with Rose McGowan as Paige.

I (actually) have quite the blended family. I have a half-sister, two half-brothers and one biological sister. I only grew up with one of those half-brothers. So, my relationship with my half-brothers are different from each other. I talk to the one I grew up with a lot more than the one I did not.

So, I understand Paige's situation in 1) not looking like her half-sisters (none of my half siblings look like me, at all) and 2) not growing up with them and trying to build that bond (like with the half-brother I did not grow up with).
