If Season 2's storyline with Dan involved with Phoebe , instead of Piper and Dan - do you think that would have worked better?
And What if Season 2's storyline was with Dan while or (while not), Piper is with Leo.
Cole could still have been introduced in Season 3 in a romantic triangle with Prue and Phoebe!!!
I wondered what Constance originally envisioned with Dan and Jenny's real role given the billing titles and and staring roles they 'had'.

I'd like that if only like Canon Season Two, it was only for the one season - and I would've preferred it being Season Five rather than Season Two, with Dan being her rebound guy off Cole (with Cole staying gone after 'Long Live the Queen') rather than Jason, especially if this means she'd never be part of The Bay Mirror and start up her series of dream slampieces.
As for the triangle, that could be great fun, much more than the Leo-Piper-Dan one, especially if Prue doesn't die until at the end of Season Four and with her realizing that Cole is now influenced by the Source and her trying to save him while Phoebe refuses to believe that he's anyone but Cole. It would especially be fun if Cole kills Prue at the same time that she vanquishes him.

I don't think Dan would work out permanently for any of the sisters. He had a pretty strong negative reaction to magic. But for just a season, he could work with any of them.
But I do like the idea of Phoebe being with someone who isn't magical and who certainly isn't evil, and Prue being the one to fall for Cole. It would be more interesting to pair the youngest and wildest with a really stable guy and the oldest and most responsible with a dangerous magical one. Phoebe and Cole were predictable and their relationship destroyed their characters.

I don't think Dan would work out permanently for any of the sisters. He had a pretty strong negative reaction to magic. But for just a season, he could work with any of them. But remember that Piper never told him a thing about magic and he never had any indication that magic even existed the way Andy did almost from the start. So when it finally hit him in such a horrible way - just like him hearing Piper say Leo's name when she had never let him know what Leo's true role in the family was - of course it he had a negative reaction. I have to think that if Piper wasn't trying to use him to try to have the normal life she craved so much and had prepared him - as I'm sure Phoebe would've with the way she loved magic - Dan's reaction to magic could very easily be just like Henry's in Season 8. Of course, if this took place in Season Five, as I'd like, Phoebe might not have felt the same way towards magic, so maybe it would've been better if she'd been with Dan in Season Two and Prue with Cole in Season Three... That's why in my Dream Charmed, I have Phoebe being the one who is the high school sweetheart of the Andy character (not Ted King, since he looks to old for her) with them the ones who last the entire series (my Dream Series is only three seasons long), while having Prue be the one who ends up with Cole and Piper ends up with Dan after Leo stays gone after 'Love Hurts' so the only way Dan is jealous of Leo is Piper's memories of him. |

You know I think they'd be cute together but like Esmeralda, I believe it'd be better in the 5th season. Phoebe needed a super sweet guy after the whole Cole dilemma.

Phoebe seems to have a thing for the more licentious unrestrained heartthrobs than the stand-up cookie cutter good boy next door. Could Phoebe have been attracted to Dan? Yeah, but I think in the long term their personalities would not have meshed all too well together. Dan is too grounded for someone like Phoebe. If any of Piper's old boyfriends were going to be snatched up by Phoebe then I would expect them to be some of the few "bad boys" or magically inclined entities that she was involved with like Jeremy Burns.

The others...let's see Jason Dean was pretty normal and he didn't really have the air of mystery surrounding him. Miles and Phoebe were okay together too. Dex, Leslie, all of them were very goody two shoes. Coop may have been magical but he was definitely not a bad boy either. I didn't like Piper and Dan together because it was a dull relationship and it was clear Piper wasn't really over Leo. Phoebe falling for Dan would be different because they're more opposites. Dan would keep Phoebe down to earth while Phoebe would provide some excitement. They'd balance one another out. I do see them falling out temporarily but once Phoebe has matured a little like end of S3, beginning of S4, I think a relationship between Phoebe and Dan can really blossom.

I think that Dan was so taken aback with magic because it was so unexpected that Piper would have been a witch. With Phoebe, not so much because she was so playful and fun loving and unconventional. I could have seen Phoebe making Dan happy, helping him understand the craft. They would also be an exceptionally good looking couple. I could see Dan being an adult when Phoebe would fall out with Prue and helping her strengthen her relationship with her sisters and maturing through being a role model for Jenny (almost forgot her name). |

Yeah I don't like Jenny but I do feel she'd be a factor in bringing Phoebe and Dan closer because Jenny always seemed closer with Phoebe than with Piper. To me anyway.

If Piper had told Dan from the start she and her sisters were witches then he would've been taken aback still but at least had the time to understand it all. The fact Piper never told him tells me she didn't love him like Leo so perhaps Phoebe would've been different if she'd been with him.

I also thought Piper never loved Dan as much as she did Leo and basically only got with him to make Leo realise what he was missing. Otherwise she would have been happy at the fact that Leo and Dan weren't discussing her. S2 was the only season where Piper wasn't one of my fave sisters.

Having rewatched season 2 recently, they definitely seemed to be setting Phoebe and Dan up as love interests. But then he's suddenly making out with Piper, it kinda comes out of nowhere. I've always thought that that was because suddenly Leo was once more part of the group while Andy wasn't. I will always wonder what it would've been like had Leo stayed in Season One where he belonged. |

The Paige/Phoebe/Cole rumors are true. Cole was supposed to kiss Paige when she cast the "Open Heart" spell in A Witch's Tale and it would've gone from there. But Holly and Alyssa were dead set against it. |

Yeah I feel like Dan was supposed to be with Phoebe. Maybe even a friends with benefits situation and Phoebe being a commitment phobe? Sorry - dont mean to pimp Phoebe out (I will leave that to Kern), but I could imagine that relationship being a BeWitched kinda one or when Dan is continually confused. Jenny was also connected to Phoebe lot more? Maybe that was supposed to be for Phoebe's character development, to be a big sister to someone. Would have been cool if Jenny was a witch from one of her parents side. |

Oh, if you went from 'Long Live the Queen' straight to 'Carpe Demon' (skipping any mention of Wyatt and Chris or Phoebe's baby-daddy-search - no mention of pregnancies until the last episode when Piper announces she's pregnant - and no flash-forwards) and just let it be a rebound, that would've been so fantastic! It would've brought my Phoebs back! |
