It became pretty obvious that Chris was one of the Charmed ones sons after that scene in Chris Crossed where he is revealed to be part witch. But I honestly thought he would turn out to be Paige's kid. Didn't see him being Wyatts brother. Did anyone else think he was Paige's kid too?

Had Phoebe been the one who was turned to stone, then, yeah, I would've thought that. But I didn't due to that, although later I was hoping it was shown that he was lying about the Charmed Ones ending at that point in order to protect his secret of his identity, even as he knew that the magical creatures would free his mother. Had Holly not become pregnant, that might have been how they played it when Kern decided to keep Fuller after his six episodes were up.
I would much have preferred them as cousins than brothers so the show was about two different families, not just Piper's.

Nope, not at all, especially when Drew Fuller made it clear in his own site that *he* wasn't interested. Wes Ramsey was but only because he wasn't getting any jobs elsewhere while for some reason or another Fuller did.
But I *was* part of The Charmed Sons message board. The original owners who knew me from a site that's now dead but that we were both part of invited me to join so I could share my fanfic - as long as I didn't post anywhere else, which is what I did until it was obvious that the petition wasn't going to work and continuing to try to make it work was killing the site.
Then I posted my version of 'Forever Charmed' which includes their sister Melinda since both boys had lost their powers and Melinda had to orb them to the present, and I almost started WWIII! Since then someone pointed out that actually the timeline where the boys lost their powers was a different one, so then I got rid of Melinda and made her Prudence Melinda, a baby Piper miscarried as part of the "we had our share of sorrows" that Piper mentions at the end. It's my favorite version of *many* versions of that story, although I like a couple of rewrites that my story inspired even better since unlike mine, they include Prue and Cole - although both get a much better nod in mine than Kern gave them!

I never put too much thought into it, but I will say my default assumption was another one of Piper's children, since she was already a mother, and we've seen the half-witch and half-whitelighter child from her, before. I never thought of Chris being Paige's son because I just assumed Piper was more of the "motherly figure" moreso than Paige.
