Ok so since I'm doing a rewrite myself - I wanted to see what ideas others would use:
Season 2:
Deja Vu All Over Again: Andy dies and becomes a whitelighter in training under Leo. Witch Trial to She's a Man, Baby a Man: Phoebe meets Jenny and Dan and Jenny becomes friends with Phoebe. Dan thanks Phoebe and asks Phoebe to help him out with his niece and their relationship develops. Andy proposes to Prue secretly because the Elders won't allow a relationship and because he almost lost her to the succubus. That Old Black Magic: Piper and Phoebe get injured by Tubatha because she is too powerful for them. Leo heals Piper but the Elders take Leo away temporarily to allow Andy to fulfill his proper role as the Charmed Ones whitelighter. They're Everywhere: Dan becomes a bit jealous when Eric takes an interest in Phoebe while she tries to reassure him that she only likes Dan while trying to protect Eric from demons. P3 H2O: Same as canon just without Leo. Ms. Hellfire: Phoebe goes undercover posing as Ms. Hellfire to stop Barbas. Heartbreak City: Same as canon mostly but Prue and Andy secretly get married but the Elders find out and Andy is taken away, causing Leo to temporarily return. Also Piper is the one who helps Cupid bring Phoebe/Dan and Prue/Andy back together. Reckless Abandon: Mostly same as canon with few differences. Nothing major. The main difference is Prue isn't as involved because she misses Andy. Awakened: Like canon and Leo heals Piper against the wishes of the Elders. The Elders suspend Leo but he offers to clip his wings permanently and asks Andy to be returned. The Elders consider the offer but don't return Andy right away. Animal Pragmatism: Mostly the same. Pardon My Past: Same as canon. Murphy's Luck: Prue risks herself to save an innocent but is trapped by the demon herself due to her own depression of missing Andy and almost commits suicide but Piper and Phoebe stop her and Andy appears to save her. The Elders put Prue and Andy on probation. How to Make to Astral Monkey: Close to canon. Apocalypse Not: Piper, Phoebe, Andy and Leo are forced to choose between love and morality. The Elders remove probation after analysing the decision that the Charmed ones made regarding Prue and Prue and Andy are officially engaged. Be Careful What You Witch For: Phoebe tells Dan she's a witch and he says he needs time to accept it so they temporarily part ways. Phoebe wishes for a new power accidentally. Piper wishes for a normal life without magic and Prue wishes to have the same passion between her and Andy that they had in high school. The wishes backfire badly. Luckily, they manage to fix things and Prue talks to Andy about their relationship and they make preparations for the wedding.
Ok so this is my Season 2. Will do S3 next.

Ok so since I'm doing a rewrite myself - I wanted to see what ideas others would use: I haven't done an earlier season rewrite(definitely tempted to do), but done for the later. The thread I posted in before specifically asked for later seasons rewrite ideas. After some feedback, I merged season 7 and 8 into one season. Anyways here you go: Here's the thread where originally posted: thecharmedcafe.proboards.com/thread/11045/seasons-5-8

Here's a general idea of how I would rewrite the Season 5 finale: Disliked:
1. The Greek God costumes, 'Goddess of...' titles and the pre-packaged "urges" that came built in. 2. Leo seemingly having no choice but to become an Elder and essentially abandon his family. 3. Chris' random introduction and hotchpotch backstory. 4. The horrible golden robes the Elders wore and the cheap looking Up There set. 5. Elders being so easily vanquishable. All of the above and below: 1) The Magical Community 2) Too much focus on Leo in the season finale 3) Piper’s whining and her and her and her sisters sudden inability to do anything without almighty Leo’s presence and divine guidance. 4) The silly and ridiculousness tone of the finale Amendments to make it somewhat tolerable:
1) The annoying Magical Community would stay in their own dimensions/habitat instead of gathering at the Charmed Manor like cowards and taking up precious screen time. Titans were after the Elders, they wouldn't even sneeze in the direction of fairies and leprechauns and what not so there was no reason for even a cameo of these annoying creatures. The Titans, out of revenge and also learning their lesson, would not only want the Elders dead, but also want to annihilate all whitelighters as well. Another reason for the killing could be to make sure whitelighters don't turn into an Elder in the future. 2) Instead of annoying magical creatures seeking shelter, it should be some of the grounded whitelighters and their charges, especially the charges of murdered whitelighters who are now in danger of attack from demons or darklighters. Ava Nicolae would be there to help also. And Phoebe would be helping and supporting these people too instead of writing her next column or attending a party while the world goes to hell. 3) Instead of magically becoming an Elder after a few words of encouragement to the sisters, a dying Elder’s powers would be passed unto Leo. Though he wouldn’t understand what happened. 4) Paige won't be turned into statue. Piper would not whine and viciously demand Leo to get back to Earth every time he goes Up There. She would fret and worry like a normal person. When Leo's absence becomes unusually long, she would urge Paige to try and orb her Up There. On seeing the Elder massacre, she would provide comfort to her grieving husband. Meanwhile Paige would feel a pull toward the chamber holding the essence of Gods and eventually realize the apocalyptic dreams and whatever she had all lead up to this moment. And Leo would realize what happened to him and what needs to be done. He would have reservations at first, but Piper and Paige would argue that if they don’t do something soon, there won’t be a world to protect or live in for any of them. 5) When Piper realizes Leo became an Elder, she won't throw a tantrum of epic proportion. She would feel scared and worried since Elders don't live on Earth but Leo would assure her it won't be like that. If being a whitelighter didn’t keep him away and also made him break the rules, why would this be any different? The only difference I see would be instead of days, Piper wouldn’t be able to see Leo for months. Sometimes even a year or two. Leo mentions falling from grace to get rid of powers and become mortal, but just like in 'Love Hurts' and 'Morality Bites', Piper doesn’t let him. This and other posters episode rewrites are in this thread: Fixing Your Least Favourite EpisodesAlready bumped both threads.

Just happened to spot this thread, so I had to put in my own rewrite. I've posted it a few times since it *is* my Dream Charmed, but for those who haven't read it, or who would like to use any of my ideas in their own Dream Charmed, reboot, remake (whatever), here you go. I also have one I call "Dream Charmed...with Children" which includes Paige, but this is my true Dream Charmed, how I truly wish Charmed had gone: My Dream Charmed begins the series by showing the townspeople of Salem, MA getting ready to hang Melinda Warren [Finola Hughes - one of the Charmed Ones says she looks like their mother (who was actually supposed to never be seen). And since I love the way Finola played Patty - my original favorite character and since this doesn't include Paige, she still would be - I’d want her to play Melinda as a blonde while playing Patty as a brunette] as a witch as she tells them her vision of the future Charmed Ones. Even as she drops, we cut to modern-day San Francisco.
The rest of Season One is similar to the canon one with some differences, mainly in the backstory and what comes from it.
Prudence "Prue" Halliwell [Shannen Doherty] has never had a boyfriend because she closed her heart after the death of her mother. Instead she’s been taking care of her sisters and her grandmother, Penelope "Penny" Johnson [Jennifer Rhodes - no, in mine, Penny is not a Halliwell – and neither was the sisters' mother, Patricia "Patty" Johnson Halliwell [Finola Hughes], until she married Victor Halliwell [Tony Dennison], who would only be seen in Season One. In mine, Halliwell women do *not* keep their maiden name, just like Warren women didn't].
Roger [Matthew Ashford] isn’t Prue’s fiancé but just her supervisor, who is fired after their boss Rex Buckland [Neil Roberts] finds out that Roger stole her ideas, so Rex makes her one of the auction house managers instead.
Unlike Canon Rex, my Dream Rex is truly the owner of the auction house and has been for a long time, since his secretary, Hannah Webster [Debbi Morgan - the one who played the Seer in Season Four] is a Seer who saw Prue getting a job there after graduating from college. Hannah never flirts with anyone, especially not Rex - like Rex, she's all business and absolutely nothing like Canon Hannah and much more like the S4 Seer.
Just like Canon Prue, my Dream Prue is a bit stiff, a bit strait-laced, but loosens up as the season goes along, as she feels sympathy for the innocents they are saving and anger at the villains (both male and female, both magical and non-magical) who are after them.
Piper Halliwell [Holly Marie Combs] is the same as Canon Piper except that she was never a banker - she didn’t have to be, since Prue was the one who took care of Penny - so since graduation from high school, Piper has always worked at Quake, even when she was at cooking school. Otherwise, no need to change her or her and Leonardo "Leo" Wyatt’s [Brian Krause] Season One story. Just like Canon Piper, my Dream Piper is the one who least wants to be a witch, but goes along with her sisters, especially when she sees how much their powers can help people.
Although Phoebe "Phoebs" Halliwell [Alyssa Milano] was the wild child and moved away to New York after Penny’ death, she found herself there and now wants to go back to school, the reason why she moves back in with her sisters. Just like Canon Phoebe, my Dream Phoebs is the one who finds the Book of Shadows and says the spell that activates their magic, and she’s the one most fascinated with magic. After she finds the Book, she puts off school in order to concentrate on being a witch. She takes temp jobs instead, and through them finds innocents for her and her sisters to save.
She is very surprised when she comes back from New York to find out that her just-as-wild high-school boyfriend is now an inspector with the San Francisco Police Department. Andy Trudeau [Chris Boyd - the one who played Andy in the Unaired Pilot - he looks younger than Ted King and looks like he'd be perfect for Phoebe] discovers her secret during the first episode of the second half of the season after she helps him solve his most baffling case with the help of her premonition, which he sees her receive. Just like Canon Andy, my Dream Andy can accept her as a witch, but not as a wife, at least for now, and since Phoebs is nowhere close to settling down, that’s fine with her, so they just remain lovers, but now she can also tell him about magical cases and he helps the sisters out.
His partner, Darryl Morris [Dorian Gregory], is always suspicious and curious as to why Andy knows so much about the cases, but never discovers the sisters’ secret.
The other major difference is the season finale which combines both 'Love Hurts' and 'Déjà vu All Over Again'. In order to stop the everlasting time loop which results in the death of Leo's charge, Daisy [Kat Coio], Piper must let Leo die… Also, rather than Canon Rodriguez, the demon helping the Demon of Time [David Carridine] isn't a demon at all, instead it’s two warlocks…Rex and Hannah. Hannah could foresee the results of the time loops, but she couldn't foresee or prevent hers and Rex’s vanquish.
After Leo's death, the Charmed Ones no longer need a whitelighter to guide them which they needed during their first year as witches, and we never hear the word whitelighter again, nor do we ever hear the word Elder, or, thank God, witchlighter or half-whitelighter. This means that Sam never existed, so neither would Paige. We never need to find out if dead men can sire children, and if they do, if they can pass powers given to them by the Elders on to their children.
Obviously this changes Season Two, as Piper is the one who mourns her lost love rather than Prue. This is when Piper goes on strike, just like she did in the beginning of Canon Season Three, and just like then, it's when she's almost the cause of a young girl losing her life that she changes her mind. But unlike Canon Season Three, Leo is never returned…
Instead Henry Mitchell [Ivan Sergei] moves in next door, halfway through the season, with the following episodes similar to the first ones in Canon Season Two, but unlike Canon Dan, my Dream Henry has no reason to be jealous of Leo...only of Piper's memories of him. Instead, when he finds out that Piper is a witch - the same way Canon Henry did in Canon Season Eight rather than the way Canon Dan did in Canon Season Two - he also finds out what Leo was, and can accept that, since he respects Piper's decision to let Leo die in order to save an innocent.
Much like Canon Henry in Canon Season Eight (the reason I chose him, since he’s much more like Henry than Dan), he decides that he can accept Piper as a witch and Piper finds herself falling for him, big-time, especially because when she’s not saving innocents, he helps her have a normal life as a normal couple, something Leo could never do. We never again hear her whining about wanting a normal life. With Henry’s help, she decides to quit Quake and use the money she’s saved as a manager to start a restaurant of her own - P3.
Meanwhile, Phoebs and Andy continue to solve crimes with the help of her sisters, keeping the focus of the show on innocents, as we see all of the innocents and bad guys that we saw in Canon Season Two, with, of course, the exception of Sam who doesn’t exist. Phoebs and Andy are still lovers, but don’t even consider marriage until Phoebs almost dies trying to save an innocent, a victim of one of the crimes they're trying to solve. Andy realizes that he loves her no matter if she's a witch or not and pops the question, and she accepts.
We also see another bad guy, although if this was truly the first time we were watching the show, we wouldn’t know it. When the sisters end up having to testify at a trial, Prue takes a liking to District Attorney Benjamin Coleridge "Cole" Turner, II [Julian McMahon], and he returns the favor. But when he asks her out, she refuses. Only after she meets Cupid [Michael Reilly Burke] and becomes his ring, does she open her heart and accept Cole's offer.
The season finale is an episode similar to “The Honeymoon’s Over”, except, of course, Piper is also part of it, since no one has gone (or could ever go) Up There without suffocating from lack of oxygen. This is when we find out that Cole is indeed trying to kill the sisters. And unlike Canon Charmed, he never turns into 'Dream Belthazor' because my Dream Cole is not half-demon, instead he's a warlock who only pretends to care for Prue and simply wants to discover the sisters’ weaknesses so he can destroy them and take their powers. There is no Source or other Big Bad in my Dream Charmedverse - the one who comes closest to being that is my Dream Cole himself, who is more like a combination of Canon Belthazor and Canon Zankou than the half-demon we know, since this one is pure warlock and pure evil - in my Dream Charmedverse, the only demons are "The Demons of..." Even Hecate was a warlock just using that name, not an actual demon.
Also in mine, witches are good and warlocks are evil – sorry, in my fantasy (emphasis on fantasy...) world, no grey morality allowed! The difference is that witches who do evil turn into warlocks (so Phoebe in 'Morality Bites' is a warlock...as are the 20's cousins in 'Pardon My Past' and as is Tuatha and as would Chris, Phoebe and Paige be if this continued into Season 6 and Christy, Billie, Piper, Phoebe and Paige if it continued into Season 8) while warlocks who do good (like Brendan Rowe) turn into witches – my Dream Cole just isn’t one of those. In my eyes, making him half-human ruined him, the same way making Paige half-whitelighter ruined her.
Unlike Canon Season Two, since there is no 'P3 H20' - no need to show anyone what could happen if a whitelighter falls in love with his charge - Prue never stops working at the auction house, nor does she ever get her astral projection power. Instead all three sisters are gaining better control of their powers - like Phoebs being able to force premonitions by touching an item and closing her eyes, and Piper and Prue being able to use theirs over larger distances with more control.
Season Three, the final season of my Dream Charmed, continues to have Andy and Phoebs solving crime while also planning their wedding, so we continue to have the Bad Guy of the Week that I love, while also having the Cole story-arc that most fans love, even if some fans won't like it as much since my Dream Cole never truly loves a Charmed One or ever becomes obsessed with her as Canon Season Five Cole did with Phoebe. Instead my Dream Cole has a lot of chemistry with Dream Prue, the same way Canon Prue and Canon Cole did. Meanwhile, Piper and Henry are becoming closer, and Prue thinks that so are she and Cole.
With these exceptions (and Phoebs and Andy not having to fight the Elders - who are never shown and are never called the Elders, but always just "THEY", like they were in Canon Seasons One and Two - in order to get married, since unlike Leo, Andy isn't dead), the season works pretty much like the canon one except that Piper never gets her explosion power and Phoebs never levitates.
Andy and Phoebs’ wedding happens halfway through the season, working much like Canon Leo and Canon Piper’s so that Patty and Penny can be part of it, although there’s also plans for a big, huge public church wedding later on, since unlike Canon Leo, Andy isn’t dead.
But rather than Prue's astral self (which is never part of this) interrupting the wedding, it’s Shax [Michael Bailey Smith] who suddenly appears. The sisters vanquish him, but when they check the Book of Shadows, they find that he is just a warlockian hitman, so there is someone a lot worse out there. Phoebs tells Andy that she loves him and still wants to marry him, but only after they find and vanquish Shax’s boss…
The rest of the season works out similar to the canon season except, of course, there are no honeymooners, Phoebs and Andy continue to work on saving innocents, and Prue eventually finds out that the true evil is Cole. Even though it breaks her heart, in the grand finale, she helps her sisters battle and vanquish him.
The Angel of Destiny [Dakin Matthews] shows up, and with Melinda Warren's blessing, the sisters decide to give up their powers so they can live normal lives, with Prue finally deciding to quit Buckland's so she can try to live her own dream - that of being a photographer - something we've seen signs of since the series premiere..., Piper considering marrying Henry while happily running her restaurant, and Phoebs deciding to go back to college and become an inspector herself so she can continue to help Andy and Darryl solve crimes, even without her powers. This will set up their own police-procedural spin-off.
Only then do we see the big grand church wedding as Andy and Mark are married, the last scene of the series. So? What do you think? As I said, anyone want to borrow anything from this (like I did for Melinda Warren's opening scene), go right ahead! So?? What do you think of *that* version of Charmed??? And what would *your* Dream Charmed be like? I have "splashes" of what I want to see changed. Not enough to do a whole rewrite. Those "splash" ideas being: Andy becoming a Whitelighter, Phoebe & Dan get together instead of Piper & Dan, Prue survives and find out about Paige (or, Phoebe dies, in Prue's stead, either way works for me), Cole never resurrects after dying in S4 (no S5 return), Whitelighter Brody makes visits and isn't truly gone, etc.

I was following along okay until the end, there. Did something happen to split Phoebe and Andy up, given that he now seems to be marrying Mark… who is alive in this version, I guess? 🤷🏻♂️

I don't know how often I've posted my Dream Charmed and you're the first to mention my error. I Have used Mark Cho and Piper as my main couple (leaving Leo out of it or matched with someone else) in earlier versions of my Dream Charmed, but you're right - in this one, it's definitely Phoebe and Andy who would've been married at the end - the only one who died in this version is Leo. I hope you enjoyed the rest of my Dream Charmed.

Well, I mean, the two could have met when Andy, who’d been tailing the gangster (whose name escapes me) in connection to another case, ended up saving Mark’s life. If you were looking to keep him from hooking up with Prue as in canon, him getting together with - and eventually marrying - another guy would definitely be a pretty effective way of doing so. 😁

But it would never be part of my Dream Charmed. If I wanted a LBGTQ couple in my Dream Charmed, it would've been Phoebe and Kyra. I always thought Phoebe was a Lesbian who hadn't admitted it - something very common in the last 90s/early 00s. She always looked like she tried too hard to show she was attracted to the guy, the way she'd almost eat their face when she kissed a guy. She and Kyra had more chemistry than she and and any of her other fantasy guys. That's the spin-off I wanted to see - the ex-demon who wanted to be mortal and her witch lover with her daughter, since that's what Phoebe always wanted - never love.
