So just watching the episode Bite Me right now and I love how Phoebe told Cole off for stopping her from trying to save Paige. It was also the first time Piper became suspicious of Cole. Anyone else enjoyed that scene?

To be technical, that was the Source not Cole! It was Cole, the Source would have killed Paige Exactly. Cole was only influenced by the powers of the Source. If he wasn't, the other Charmed Ones would've been dead by this point. Him seeing the Source in his dream was just his way of trying to blame his crimes on someone else, the way Phoebe tried to blame her crimes on Cole and the Phoetus and the Seer's potion. All part of why I don't like the latter half of Season Four.

Anyone else enjoyed that scene? I do like this scene. I do like this episode as well. one that goes under the radar but portrays the magical community well, uniquely and tastefully.

Every time I watch that episode I kept feeling like they would run into Buffy in the cemetery. 😊
This episode could have made a great crossover. Especially since Leo mentioned that vampires were part of a different network. Meaning buffyverse.

Him seeing the Source in his dream was just his way of trying to blame his crimes on someone else, the way Phoebe tried to blame her crimes on Cole and the Phoetus and the Seer's potion. All part of why I don't like the latter half of Season Four. No, it wasn't, and no he wouldn't have. Again, if you want to believe Cole was acting as the Source, then you are literally going against every single thing in season 4. There you go. Cole is an entirely separate person, unless you want to say that the Seer lied and the Source went along with talking about Cole as if he is a third person for some random reason, in which case, you are pulling your own headcanon into the debate, not facts. The entire point of these episodes was to show that Cole's love for Phoebe was so strong that it was bleeding into the Source, that the very Source was starting to be swayed by Cole's love for her. That was the entire point of the arc. Listen, I understand that you do not like the character and that's totally fine. I also get that you don't like the storyline, again, totally fine and all the more power to you because there are objective issues with it. But in this case, you are twisting facts and asserting your head canon into the discussion, which does not lead into a productive conversation.

Even if Cole was consciously acting as the Source, I still believe that there was some exculpatory factors that should have helped the sisters realise that his situation amounted to more than just him "regressing" back to being evil. His fundamental nature had been drastically altered when Belthazor was vanquished, leaving an unoccupied void in his soul. The Seer cryptically described this after Half-Face was killed. Source took advantage of that spiritual chasm and decided to set up shop. Now how is it that Piper described Cole's reaction to being exposed to these evil influences, "an alcoholic being set to fail by getting sent to a kegger"? Well the Source occupying Cole's "void" would be the equivalent of giving said alcoholic an injection of Spirytus Rektyfikowany directly into the bloodstream.
Seriously, you might as well administer 15 milligrams of midazolam into Piper before asking why she's letting these screaming people burn in a fire right before her eyes. Apathy and self-indulgence became her niches in the latter seasons.

I thought it was smart of Cole to not want to save her. But I don't get his fear of having a charmed one turned into a vampire. She wasn't a witch anymore and joined the demon ranks. Even the queen was trying to run away saying the source will kill us all and one fireball finishes her off. What threat could Paige pose. It technically lead to his downfall saving her again.
