So, I randomly watched the season 2 episode "They're Everywhere" and I was wondering the whole Collectors/Akashic records could it have been a multi-story arc? I mean a 7 episode arc would've have been great & Eric was a better character than Jason, Leslie & Coop combined & The Collectors showed potential as a Big Bad IMO. How would you see this being played out if it was that way?

I loved this episode, I re-watched last year after having not seen it in years. Eric was a nice character, and I wouldn't have minded seeing more of him and Phoebe for multiple episodes over the likes of Jason, Leslie etc.
I'm not sure how it would play out for more episodes. Unless it had a typical arc where pieces of the Akashic records was hidden in places all over the town, and trying to put it together. I don't know.

I loved this episode because it had two of my favorite actors. Misha Collins whom I loved in Supernatural and Dean Norris from Under the Dome

One of my favorite episodes, too - loved the relationship Phoebe and Eric had.
Not sure if I'd want it to be a longer arc - I liked it just the way it was - although I'd much prefer Phoebe with someone like Cole for only one episode and someone like Eric over a couple seasons and a half. She might have remained our Phoebs.
It's just like me wishing that if Piper had to be with someone magical she could've been with someone like Mark who wouldn't let her walk all over him over someone like Leo who did.

I loved this episode too for it's storyline and Phoebe's interaction with Eric.
Love Misha as Cass.
Anyway I can't think of how the story could've been extended other than the records being smashed into pieces like the demon tablet was smashed in half in Supernatural and some other evil trying to find them over the year which the sisters try to stop culminating in the finale with the evil having all the pieces and nearly exacting something big depicted on those records which working together the Halliwell's destroy forever.

This whole episode was great. It was hilarious and very emotional. I loved Eric and Phoebe comparing their fathers and their different lives. It was one of the times in the show that I felt really bad for Phoebe. Whatever she might have turned into later in the show, at one time she was just this young woman trying to turn her life around and be a good person, all while carrying around the idea that maybe her father wasn't in her life because he didn't love her enough.
I thought Eric was a great guy for Phoebe. He played by his own rules and had quite an independent streak in the way he stood up to the doctors on his father's behalf and had the nerve to destroy the records in the middle of the museum. Yet he was just a normal person otherwise, without magic. He was smart and daring enough to be a good match for Phoebe, yet he didn't have anything dangerous about him like Cole that would eventually pull Phoebe down with him.
Even if they hadn't ended up as a couple, I could see him as a side character. He could be their skeptic friend that constantly questioned situations they ended up in and helped them see things differently.

Oh, wouldnt that have been great if Phoebs could've had a guy for a friend who wasn't a boyfriend? Part of why I wish we'd had Andy all series rather than Leo.

I think quite a few of the stories from seasons 1 and 2 had the potential to be multi-episode arcs, but obviously they wanted to keep the episodic structure early on. Not that I necessarily think that's a bad thing, but there were definitely plots that could have been expanded on, even if it had just been the odd two-parter. Then again, some of the two-parters we DID get probably would have been better off being singular, but that was much later on.

Just like “Apocalypse Not” definitely should have been a season finale. Same with “Morality Bites”. We should have revisited that episode. Even if it was to see what Pratt or Cal Green were up to in future seasons

I agree with a few of you guys about if it was a longer arc that the records would have to be broken and pieces scattered around the city. I would even go further and have pieces in other states. It always irked me that the girls were supposed to be the most powerful witches ever but they were always rooted in San Francisco, like they weren't other evils in other places that can't be vanquished by a normal spell or potion. With this idea of the pieces of stone being other places, it allows the girls if not all of them but two to go on the road and search for them. They can discover demons/warlocks they never faced and aren't in the book and encounter more skilled witches that can teach them more about the craft. To end the arc, I would do what the original episode did in that bittersweet conclusion where both Phoebe and Eric lose their memories of each other.

I definitely feel like this arc could've been expanded upon instead of just being a one-off episode. Perhaps remove some boring S2 episodes to make room for it.
