What if Season 5 started 3 - 5 years from where Witch Way Now with flashbacks to Pipers pregnancy.
What if also, Phoebe carries her and Coles baby (no the Sources) as well.
That would mean the kids could be up to 5 years old with powers and the sisterly could have had a relaxed 5 years after vanquishing the Source.

I like this idea, if they have to have kids in the show. The pregnancies and babies took over, so if fans who wanted to see those things could still see them in flashbacks, that might be better than having those things happen in real time in the show. If the kids are a few years old, perhaps they could do what they do on other shows and have the kids there, but not on screen or involved in plots that much.
Of course, this is all dependent on how powerful they choose to make the kids. I always pictured the sisters as the most powerful, and their kids would be magical, but not nearly as much as their mothers. To me, there was no reason why the Charmed magic wouldn't reach its peak with the sisters and not pass on to their kids. If we go from Piper finding out she's pregnant and Phoebe still being pregnant, and skip a few years ahead and their kids are insanely powerful, then the skipped time wouldn't add much to the show. But if they were normal kids with just a little magic in them, I'd like to skip past the pregnancy and baby years.

I agree. If Piper's child could orb and Phoebe's child could shimmer and that's the extent of their powers, I'd take it farther and have them hop 20 years ahead and do the spin-off right after Season Four. That lets the Charmed Ones still be the Charmed Ones, the powerful ones while the kids would still have a power they could use to protect themselves without taking over the show.
As just children 5-6 years old could be fun, and especially if they'd truly done it right after Season Four so they wouldn't have to age the sisters, that would be okay, too. It just depends if the stories center around the kids or the sisters.

That would be okay. However, it would mean Piper still has a second child in S6 when Holly is pregnant. So that means three children by S7.
Another time-jump idea would be doing it in S6, so Leo would have been gone for many years missing, as an Elder or deceased. Obviously, this also means Chris isn't the child of anyone and remains someone else. Because he wouldn't wait years, so could be the big bad or someone else, or not introduced at all.
Actually, if Piper did get pregnant again or maybe in this scenario, Piper has her first child in S6, and Phoebe is the only one with a child in S5. Or they just have the sisters having the kids in S5, and then we jump forward 5-6 years after that season.
The idea of a spin-off that jumps much further is a good idea Es. Obviously, a much bigger time jump of 10-20 years, means they wouldn't have Piper get pregnant again. Unless they do want to have a huge gap between her two children, and or have a Piper that's nearly 50 get pregnant. If the jump is up to 20 years.

I don't get why they couldn't work around it, Piper was pregnant so late in the season anyway in S6. I'm sure they can use Hollywood magic for just 6 more episodes. Even pulling another Power of Two episode, in order to keep Holly out of the story, or shooting out of order or actually doing more stories and or flashbacks set in the Dark future, which could just have seen Piper killed in that, so it means Holly isn't needed. That would really have been great. Seeing as it became too much about Piper's family. |
