Has a nice ring to it. I wonder if Hecate and the source were battling it out during season one as he no interest in them until the last episode. I wonder if Hecate came to earth after being exiled and wanted to claim the throne later on with an heir.
It seems that was what she was planning to do so she could stay in power perhaps.

I like this theory! There's so much stuff from early episodes that I wish they'd explored in more depth. They could've easily brought Hecate back considering the number of enemies they "vanquished" who reappeared.

I like this theory! There's so much stuff from early episodes that I wish they'd explored in more depth. They could've easily brought Hecate back considering the number of enemies they "vanquished" who reappeared. Right? I felt like Hecate wasn't explained too well, and that episode isn't really a preferred episode of mine to watch when watching S1. It felt so out of place, and they were guessing at what to do with it, it felt like.

I don't like Hecate because she's a goddess in mythology, not a demon. I do like the idea of her and the Source having a power struggle but I wish they went with a different name for her.
