They set up a man to die and have been doing evil things like taking Darryl's soul without permission. I think they became evil after this. Thoughts?

I think the idea of what was evil changed with Prue's death.
Before her death, it was the wrong things done for the right reason is still the wrong thing - the reason Prue and Piper let Phoebe be executed. But after her death, when they soul-raped Darryl - that was to save Leo. For setting Rick up to be murdered - that was to save Chris. To premeditate murder the Jenkins (which means it wasn't self-defense), that was to save themselves.
Obviously their answer to "What if a building was on fire? Do you save five strangers or one sibling?" would now be "one sibling". Does that make them warlocks? When the Elders were more demonic than the demons, who were simply comic relief? If that was the case, was there actually any difference between being a witch or being a warlock, being a whitelighter or being a darklighter, being mortal or being a demon?
I don't know. I just know that after Season Six, I no longer liked any of the Charmed Ones. That changed a speck when Drake reminded Phoebe of innocents in 'Show Ghouls', but otherwise... *shudder*.

I know what you mean. It seems they still fought evil but maybe Drake saved Phoebe and it reverted them back to witches before they became warlocks again by killing the jenkins. They could've reversed time and became witches again. U don't think their counter parts were that evil why they weren't that good. It shows somewhere down the line they were feared and now they seem cranky.

That's what I noticed in 'It's a Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad World'. Their counterparts weren't that evil, just uglier, the way the Charmed Ones weren't that good, just more beautiful on the outside.

Such wonderful irony. It's interesting to reflect back on Phoebe's little self-righteous diatribe against the killing of non-magical humans back in "Sam I Am" yet here she is complictly signing the death certificate of a man who didn't need to die -- mind you, it was in an extremely gruesome and agonising manner at that.
You've gotta wonder where all this righteous indignation over humans dying was when these past incidents occurred...
Gosh! At this point, Prue's corpse should have been next on Phoebe's list of vanquishing targets if we retroactively apply her season 5 logic. Don't forget one of Prue's personality alter-egos taking Helena Statler hostage and threatening to use an iron maiden to violently skewer through her if her demands weren't met.
Phoebe and the others lost whatever moral high ground they had left sometime between seasons 5-6. At best, they were an ambiguous self-serving trio of quasi-mercenaries who couldn't be bothered to help anyone or destroy evil if inconvenienced them too much. Not very likable and in general in you just wanted to see them fail.

The dream sorcerer and Ms. Hellfire were genuine and immediate threats to the sisters, regardless of whether they were humans or not. So was Dr. Williamson, but I still blame Piper for setting the whole thing in motion, thanks to her greed; and also Prue, Phoebe and especially Leo for not letting Piper die, when they should have.

No, they're not Warlocks because they're not killing people to steal their powers, to make themselves more powerful.
