Very exciting opening though none of the sisters tried to use their actual powers to stop Lightning girl. And Harry/Elder tell them to just go back to their regular lives for the time being while lightning girl has summoned an ancient demon from hell? Sorry I am not exactly interested in Maggie or Macys love lives right now. This is the time where being Charmed should totally be interfering with their personal lives.
Are they going to go into the grey area with demons who dont have a human half? Because we just learned that the Elders wiped out an entire demonic species...
Harry has magic energy that can be drained? Guess that is one way to get around using him as a magical taxi cab while Maggie tries to go out of state.
So lightning girl Jada is half witch and half whitelighter...AGAIN! RUSHING! And she is a rogue witch, group that dont live under the Elders thumb...and of course she worked with Marisol because who didnt? And she didnt raise a demon but a witch that was locked away? Should be interesting.
Do not tell me that Charity/Harry have a kid together? They are totally former lovers though. Think that pretty much kills the Macy/Harry shippers.
Yeah this Macy side line and Maggie story are nowhere near as interesting as the main plot with Mel. Show...JUST stop trying to get them to date someone, i know the OGs dated plenty in the first 3 seasons but I feel like it just wasnt brought up as much? Just flowed easier?
So demon/human halfbreeds cant really exist? Only 1 half can prevail? Is the plasma of a Charmed One going to fix that? And if so...why does daddy darkest want his son to regain his half breed status instead of him succumbing to the dark side full time?
Ok this bug demon...ew.
If Macy had to go on a date that drew her away from both the main plot AND demon subplot, I am glad it at least lead back to Macy getting it on with a demon. Though if they can be this discrete about it, why did they have to go all spider mouth on us the first time?
Mels freezing power is really strong if Maggie can just be touching the people and not break them out of the freeze.
Either go full spider queen or nah, only half spider queen kind of ruined the moment. But this show is totally as corny as the original.
Well good for Maggie wanting to spend the summer with her sisters. Boo on Macy still being stuck on Galvin.
Ugh hate that we already got into half breed territory so quickly. Both with demons and Whitelighters but especially Whitelighters. And being a halfbreed isnt even as fun since the new whitelighters are basic to look at power wise even if it does look 10x better with lightning involved.
Elders have their own little reality bubble they can co-exist in...interesting and they want Mel to join the vigilante witches, this isnt going to well.
Galvin gets hit by car...I could care less.

*Sigh* so we're back to having a half witch/whitelighter hybrid. But I'm not surprised, will this reboot even last through a second season. From all the reading I see, it is more and more like they are throwing eight years worth of Classic Charmed plots into their first season. LOL Nope, this show isn't going to survive so long. They'll burn out so fast. So how on earth are whitelighters created, if we're back to having hybrids again? Elder witches having powers to create whitelighters just feels strange.

Just as Pheebs said this show ain't lasting long. The ratings are sinking to less than million and they're burning through stories like calories. They're doing/have done, the dead mom storyline, witches rebelling against Elders, NuCole, hybrids(Half Whitelighter/Witches). Christ!

If Elders are just senior witches in this series, what exactly are Whitelighters - like, junior Elders? I think the plot with the rebel group (can't spell the name) against the Elders has potential.
I really feel like they should've made Mel the eldest sister and given her the telekinetic power. Macy barely uses her power and so there's not much point in her having the offensive power.

Mel *is* the Oldest sister, the way Prue always was. Macy, like Paige, is the Only Child. They just gave the right power to the wrong sister if they wanted TK to go to the oldest. And even if all three are halves (has that been confirmed on the show yet, or just the media that each have a different father - probably demon, whitelighter and non-magical and probably all a different race.), since Mel and Maggie were raised together and Macy wasn't, Macy's the Only Child, Mel the Oldest and Maggie the Baby. And it sounds like they fit those roles. It doesn't matter if Macy is older just like it doesn't matter if Paige was younger. Phoebe was always the Baby of the family.

I agree that Mel needs the offensive telekinetic power. Macy should have had the power to stop time, which would even with her whole science thing maybe.

So half-demon/half-humans have a change from Classic Charmed here.
If what I read was true, and someone who has watched can explain it better to me. But Cole 2.0 has issues with the fact that he is only half-demon and his human side is affecting his performance as a demon. So both cannot go co-exist, and one will kill the other half?
Am I completely off-track here?

I'm enjoying the series so far. Though Parker is nowhere near as intriguing a character as Cole was. And there's not much to Galvin's character as a potential love interest for Macy.
A couple of things about this episode though:
That bug CGI was not so good.
Lol at the fact that they go onto a level called P3! - of all the names they could have given that floor! xD
We have our first whitelighter-witch! Interesting.
I think the channel I'm watching on is cutting parts of scenes out though. Last week, I didn't actually see what Parker was doing that made Maggie think he was doing drugs. And this week, it cut straight from Galvin walking to him rolling on the floor with the sound of a car skidding off, but you don't actually see this car hit him. Unless this is just a weird editing thing the show is doing to keep the CW sensors happy?
Lastly though, the actress that plays Macy needs to learn how to hold a pipette! I say this in jest, of course, but it was really funny seeing her completely mishandle it. xD
