I just saw this headline on MSN and thought of our Charmed Family in Australia - Granny Charmed, Daughter Charmed and Granddaughter Charmed (GC, DC and GDC during the re-watches). Granny always uses Sydney time when she's doing timeline conversions, so I *think* that's where they are. I sure hope they're all okay! Pray for them and their city and their country, okay?

From reading it, it looks like many are without power. I'm hoping that's the worst they faced, and we'll hear from Granny when she gets her power back.

I truly appreciate dears so much for your concerns and prayers (And a big thank-you to Es for the thread) for my home state and country. I hope our other Australian members at the cafe are safe as well. 

The good news is that I now have power. 

But the bad news, is we are *not* out of the woods just yet. We have been issued with another warning weather warning to expect possible dangerous destructive winds and giant hail. So a chance I may even end up without power again come the weekend. 

But the good news, is me and my family are fine. We were lucky to have no damage done to our homes, and everyone is safe. The only issue we faced was no power. My sister, however, the damages she faced was just to her backyard. With a couple of trees have fallen and a big mess to clean up. Luckily it didn't reach her house and she and her family are safe and unharmed (my only real concern).

However, I sadly can't say the same for the many homes and businesses that were affected by damages dears. 

However, the scariest part was the size of the hailstones, I saw on the news (Lucky this wasn't in my area, but another location in Sydney my state). 

Giant hail falls in severe thunderstorms across Sydney

After days of severe thunderstorm warnings from the weather bureau indicating the risk not just of large but "giant" hail, the heavens have delivered in an intense downpour on Thursday afternoon.


Hailstones the size – and shape – of "poached eggs" smashed their way through Sydney's eastern, inner and western suburbs when a succession of storms hit the city in the late afternoon.


Weather bureau meteorologist Ash Lange said there had been reports of 2cm hail in Petersham, 3.5cm hail in Summer Hill and 5cm hail in Berowra between 4.30pm and 5pm.

So I have my fingers crossed and prayers that nothing more extreme will happen. Here's hoping the worst will be behind us, in time for Christmas next week.

Whoa, check out the hailstones here. We've never had those that large in Britain.
