Prue's Pride in AHBL

I have just been watching some episodes from season 3 again and we all know in this season Prue started to get some serious pride. it seems to me when piper got her explosion power Prue started to get a bit jealous that piper was getting stronger than her. this might just be me or the writing I'm not sure. it got this idea from AHBL when they thought piper killed shax Prue made it seem like it was impossible. I don't see any reason for her to say this except from feeling that she's loosing her place as strongest witch. then when piper brings up later how many demons she has vanquished with her new power Prue sought of got mad all a sudden and denied that she did. she makes a point to keep saying that piper was wrong and she was right. especially when Leo said that Prue was right and that there individual powers weren't strong enough to vanquish shax she smiled and seemed very happy and proud of herself.

thanks for reading. I know im probably over thinking it but I thought it might be an interesting conversation to discus prues pride issues.

This is an interesting topic... A lot of fans think that that was Shannen letting her jealousy of Alyssa come through her acting, but I think you've nailed it instead.

The funny thing is I don't remember Prue having trouble with pride until 'The Good, the Bad and the Cursed', which is when I found myself no longer liking her, the way I didn't like her at the beginning of Season One. I reached the point where I was glad she died, because it appeared that Kern was trying to turn her into a prideful Superwitch which would've been even worse.

Am I off here? Did anyone else notice Prue's pride before TG,TB & TC? Because if I'm not, it was just typical Kern-in-charge, ruining a character.
