I can't believe that tomorrow, February 14th, it will be SIX FULL MONTHS since Granny Charmed wanted to know what our idea of a reboot would be. That's what inspired this alternate-universe series that's been giving so many of us so much joy, especially as we try to forget the reboot that stole all of Charmed’s thunder on its 20th anniversary, and debuted back in October and will be around for at least this season and next.
I’ve decided to post an update in a separate thread each time we reach the 13th of each month, so members can enjoy the update on the actual "month-day" (as we call it), the 14th of each month. As always each month-day, I'm also going to post a summary to show just how far we've come and how far we have left to go before we reach our goal of 4 1/2 seasons for 100 episodes.
I’ve also started two new threads this month, one with just all of our episodes and one with all of Pheebs Halliwell’s wonderful Deadline press releases for newbies who don’t want to read all FIFTY pages of our main brainstorming thread. Of course if they want to read both there without all of the brainstorming, they sure can by checking out our most recent month-day update.
I’m very happy to announce that Prudence Halliwell has finally finished her Time-Travel Arc and I’ve had a chance to edit it. So that is now complete and here for everyone to read. AND thanks to that, we now have a THIRD completed season – Season Three! Only Season Two and Season Four are left! I’ll admit that at one point I truly didn’t think we’d reach our goal of 100 episodes, but now I truly believe I will!
I’d also like to admit that thanks to a very busy Real Life, I haven’t been able to read and edit any of the other new press releases. I’ve still added the new ones to this update so we can see how many we’ve done and how many we have left to reach that goal of 100. I’ve done with them what I’ve done with Prudence’s story arc while it was in “work in progress mode” – put an asterisk after the title.
Unfortunately, more likely than not, I won’t be able to get to the editing until summer since I’ll be busy with work (I work at a wholesale florist, so getting ready for Valentine’s Day, Easter and Mother’s Day keeps us extremely busy, so I usually crash as soon as I get home) and/or my University of Minnesota Golden Gopher baseball team. I’ve found out they start at the end of FEBRUARY, not March, although they’ll be on the road and won’t have any home games until April. I’m always *very* tired after home games (I’m their #1 fan who cheers every single play), so again I usually crash as soon as I get home. I’m not as tired after away games, since I just follow them on my laptop, but that will also prevent me from having time to work on editing.
This means that I probably won’t be able to do any more editing until this summer when I’m not busy with either work or Gophers. Hopefully by that time we’d have our 100 episodes and I can have fun, not only editing, but also go through the entire series, re-ordering the episodes if necessary, looking for inconsistencies and fixing them, while editing the ones with the asterisks. To me, that sounds like great fun!
I’ll still post an update every month until we have all 100 of our episodes and our series is complete except for my editing.
I hope you all understand.
I’ve also decided to skip the backstory so that if this is your first time reading about Elemental Charmed, it will be like you’re actually watching our show, not knowing what’s going to happen until it does. If this is the case for you, be sure to let us know what you think!
Here we go! Just like I’ve been doing, I’m going to put each season in its own thread.
