This was easily the best episode of the entire season. It was focused, everyone and everything felt connected and in place, the acting was fun all of the characters were great. I'm actually starting to like Parker more than previously seems like they're trying to give him more character. The climax was great, I enjoyed all the sisters as oppose to just Macy. Overall a solid plot with a solid conclusion and solid structure.
For instance while the other two sisters do have their own plots I like how they finally connect with Macy's plot in some way. Before Maggie and Mel were just off doing their own thing not really considering anything that's going on with Macy, here it's all of them together solving an issue together it reminded me of when the OG sisters in the first 4 seasons would come together to solve a problem. It never felt like too many plots going on at once and it had some pretty decent pacing.
I will say though even though she's evil now this really made me dislike Charity and the Elders as a whole. I hated them in OG Charmed but they seem even worse here. Rather than being power induced snobs who want control over anything and everything, in the reboot they are willing to kill anyone who opposes their ideas of thinking. Charity just murdered Marisol simply because it goes against her "good vs evil" code which is presented as black and white thinking. And going by the promo of next weeks episode they aren't above getting rid of Harry if it means getting rid of anything they deem a problem. This could just boil down to semantics though.
I also like the possibility of Parker's only way out becoming the Source because it presents Maggie with a choice, her only way of keeping him alive is to be the Source of All Evil, but will she choose him over her sisters? That would be interesting conflict I feel. I'll have to see how they resolve him getting poisoned.
As much as I loved the first 4 seasons of OG Charmed the thing I absolutely hated most about it was Phoebe's obsession with Cole in how she would prioritize her own feelings for him over the well being of her sisters, and her choosing to become the Queen of the underworld simply because she didn't want to leave him was the straw that broke the camel's back. This is where I think the Maggie/Parker thing would improve even if Maggie were to choose Parker if he does become the source because of this, because unlike Phoebe it would be her only means of saving his life and wouldn't be through any fault of her own, but rather a naive mistake that she could bounce back from given she gets held accountable for it. Phoebe completely sabotaged Cole's only means of saving both of them, yet she selfishly gave into her desires and choose to be evil of her own will.
Also not throwing any shade at Cole or anything, he was one of my favorite things in OG Charmed, I just hated how Phoebe did a 180 personality change the moment she dated him, compared to Seasons 1 and 2, especially 2 where she was at her best. I'm just saying I hope if they do this same story with Maggie and Parker they improve all the loose ends and don't fall under the same pitfalls. It might even give Parker some more character being evil.
