I liked this episode. It was fun!
Galvin continues to add nothing, and hope he does leave forever.
I'm sure Niko is going to learn Mel put that spell on her, that will most likely be part of the end of season drama or something they'll start now to play into S2.
Figures Parker's mother dies, and that he goes to the dark side, and I'm curious about the Source mythology, I gotta say it is better than Classic Charmed. Because at least, the Source needs a vessel to enter the world, and not show up as that stupid half-faced demon.
So Harry is now no longer working for the Elders and is a free agent. Can you blame him, they are worse than Classic Charmed sentencing him to death, and grow old and die, Leo only was made mortal but didn't age to what he should be. At least he is okay now.
Harry is proving to be treated so much better than how the sisters treated Leo. I really do see a brotherly/sisterly relationship here. The best part is he isn't with one of the sisters. So him being their mentor is fine with me, even if I still have issues with how whitelighters work.
I think they are going to kill someone off by the end of the season. Someone will become the Andy of S1. I think one of the sisters will lose someone close to them entering S2.

Parker or Galvin are the most likely option of people to die unless Niko in the Andy role does instead.

Yeah, I think Galvin and Parker will be going, but if it is Niko, well it would be Andy 2.0, right down to killing her off right when she learns the truth about Mel and magic, so I hope they don't pull that card.

Me to. I don't mind Niko as a character then.

This episode was mixed. On one hand Alastor's scenes were easily my favorite part as his over the top nature has been very entertaining and seems like he's trying to make the most of the fact he's on a campy CW show. Macy and Galvin's conflict went as I expected it. And Niko was my other favorite part of this episode. Seeing her react to magic and being interested in stuff happening around them is fun and I hope they don't pull an Andy on her and kill her off because there's lots of fun scenarios I feel the could be using her for. Especially since she's gained more of a personality.
The Parker stuff were my main issues. I know everyone hates Parker and Galvin, but I've been mostly indifferent in terms of Parker. I tolerated him in Post Pixie episodes because I felt they were trying to build up something, but this one kinda stomp on that potential. Don't get me wrong I think Parker and Maggie are far more tolerable than Phoebe/Cole simply because one party isn't prioritizing over the other and because it doesn't come with the whole "genetically evil" thing or constant blaming. However here his acting felt off (more than usual) and the setup to making him accept his role as the source could've been done better rather than (I lost my mom and GF time to become the source) it just paints him as weak willed or too emotionally attached toward Maggie. However that's not to say I don't think he can't be saved, a redeemption arc would be interesting to see provided his character doesn't get axed off.
And right when I liked them simply because I felt they could potentially fix the rough edges with Phoebe/Cole. This episode had Maggie prioritize him while taking things less seriously and Parker giving up after Hunter (shapshifted as Maggie) dumps him for being inherently evil. Regardless I'm interested to see how Parker will play as the Source. I like this idea they are doing where the source is just an entity that needs a vessel rather than the whiny half faced source from OG Charmed season 4.
I also found it odd how none of the sisters think to look for Parker and him being tricked and Hunter's reveal as a fake is just handwaved with Macy using her evil sight, Maggie finding Parker's note and then Macy telling them Hunter set him up it felt like a quick sweep just to transition to Alastor bringing the source into Parker.
So far I find Macy, Harry and Alastor to be the best characters on the show. Macy due to being the most interesting sister with the most driven plot, Harry because of the acting, funny quips and great chemistry with the sisters and Alastor simply because he's very entertaining.
The reboot has fixed some things over OG Charmed namely how the girls treat Harry better compared to late season Leo. (though they still need to explain how a lot of things work and the girls are too powerful despite being new to the craft)

Me to. I don't mind Niko as a character then. Yeah might prove to be useful later as the Darryl when he learned the secret, and didn't die. Hopefully she won't be Andy 2.0 and die now soon. Someone hates Galvin. LOL Yeah, I do, he adds nothing to the show and has zero chemistry with Macy. And I'm not the only one, most of the fans just don't like him and think he adds nothing.

I know that I'm not too keen on Galvin myself. People also seem to have Parker in there as well. Though I see Parker as more of wasted potential and not given enough to do that outright pointless.
