I can't believe that tomorrow, June 14th, it will be TEN FULL MONTHS since Granny Charmed wanted to know what our idea of a reboot would be. That's what inspired this alternate-universe series that's been giving so many of us so much joy, especially as we try to forget the reboot that stole all of Charmed’s thunder on its 20th anniversary, and debuted back in October and will be around for at least this season and next.
I’ve decided to post an update in a separate thread each time we reach the 13th of each month, so members can enjoy the update on the actual "month-day" (as we call it), the 14th of each month. As I announced last month, I no longer have to post a summary to show just how far we'd come and how far we had left to go before we reach our goal of 4 1/2 seasons for 100 episodes, but I I no longer do that because we reached our goal in less than eight months! I’m still so very proud of us!
BUT there are some additions to this update – Pheebs Halliwell has continued in her capacity as our Deadline reporter with a few new articles.
And, thanks to work settling down and my Gopher baseball team’s season ending, I’ve *FINALLY* had a chance to edit the episodes that needed them. Them I’ve also bolded to make it easier for members to find.
This next month I’m hoping I can have fun, going through the entire series, re-ordering the episodes if necessary, looking for inconsistencies and fixing them. To me, that sounds like great fun!
While I’m doing that, I’ll also be looking for episodes that still have “TBD” as either the episode title or the tagline or both. I still don’t think that should be left to the writer – anyone can still make suggestions and let the writer decide which one they want. I’m going to give those authors this month to decide whether they want to use the suggestions – next month, I’ll add any suggested additions to the episode so it’s finally totally complete for anyone who wants to read the whole thing.
To make doing that easier, I’m not only going to bold any press release that still has a TBA. Be sure to make your suggestions in the main brainstorming thread so the author can see it and decide if they want to use it, and so I can use it next month if they don’t.
Even when we’re done, I’ll still post an update every month even though we have all 100 of our episodes and our series is complete except for my smoothing, renumbering and fixing the TBAs. Since I’m expecting Pheebs to continue to give us Deadline press releases as long as the rip-off keeps airing, I’m going to guess that I’ll still be doing monthly updates for at least the next year and longer if the rip-off goes more than two seasons, which I don’t think it will—ratings are too low—just calling it “Charmed” hasn’t taken away from doing story arcs right away before giving viewers a chance to get to know the characters the way Classic Charmed did and the way we did here in Elemental Charmed.
I’m continuing to skip the backstory so that if this is your first time reading about Elemental Charmed, it will be like you’re actually watching our show, not knowing what’s going to happen until it does. If this is the case for you, be sure to let us know what you think!
Here we go! Just like I’ve been doing, I’m going to put each season in its own post.
