Charmed, the Reboot, has been renewed for Season 2 by the CW.
This thread allows you to discuss what you want to happen next, speculating on what's to come, and any spoilers.
Enjoy.

New showrunners are employed this season whom I hope will do better than last years writers and not rush things which didn't impress me season 1 actually.
I'd like things to slow down story wise and learn more about the sisters as people especially Macy who never grew up with Mel or Maggie.
What was her life like? Who were her adopted family? Which we could see.
Get rid of Parker but keep Nico and Jada if the latter isn't dead whom I liked as supporting characters then.
Have two big storylines plus character development and I'd be sorted although I've heard Macy and Harry may connect now Galvin's gone that I hope's not true because I like him just as the girls White Lighter father-figure friend even if they do have a good connection obviously.

*sigh* Doesn't sound like they've learned their lesson. Boyfriends will still be more important than being sisters who happen to be witches.

It looks like it, and I'm disappointed they added another member of the Caine family, I thought we were done when they all died last year, why to introduce a third child of Alastair's. What will she do, that Parker and his brother added. *sigh* I was hoping they'd let the sisters be boyfriend free, and let S2 be a soft reboot. Looks like S1 ended with all three with a boyfriend dead, one broken up, and the third having their boyfriend leaving town.

REALLY! I thought we're over the Caine family and new love interests. *sigh* S2 is already off to a horrible start it seems. I thought we'd be lucky to have a sisterly start to S2, and one sister would be single for even more than 5 seconds.

Really, they should only let one sister have a major romantic arc for the season, and okay maybe two tops, but not all three, especially this early in the series, when we need to get to know these sisters.
We'll see how it goes. But, not off to a good start based on these spoilers.

If this is true although rumors can happen then I won't be happy.
The show should be about sisters who are witches with relationships coming second obviously.
I'd rather learn more about the sisters, their family and other things etc. Even seeing more of Harry's former life before he was a Whitelighter appeals to me.

Charmed won't be at Comic-Con this year which occurs in a few weeks. Looks like the show isn't getting as much promotion, and is one of the only CW shows not attending this year I believe.

Yeah, I'm not really surprised, given it wasn't a huge success for The CW and they'll have to answer to many of the complaints received by how rushed the first season was, and many things most fans haven't enjoyed about it. Since almost all The CW shows go to Comic-Con every year and not attending is strange, especially how huge Comic-Con is every year in July.

It really does look like unless the new showrunners really do a lot of fixing that this might be the rip-off's last season!!! I sure hope so. Then when fans talk about "Charmed" - they'll be talking about OUR Charmed and not the rip-off!
I'm so glad I've yet to waste a second on this mess that never should've happened! But I'm glad it did. We never would've worked on our Elemental Charmed that has been so much fun and such a huge success if the rip-off never happened,.

I sure hope they fix S2, and really do improve it. I'll hope so, many shows do actually improve after a terrible first season, some take time to get going. We'll have to wait and see.
Re-watching Classic Charmed S1, just shows me, how much better they did S1.

I've seen some people thinking that if we're true Charmed fans, we should fight hard to keep the rip-off going because once it's gone, Charmed will be gone forever - it won't come back in any form.
Guess what? As far as I'm concerned, that's just fine.
Classic Charmed has been "gone" for almost 21 years now, and this site - which is dedicated to Classic Charmed with just this single board for the rip-off - has done very well, and I'm sure it will continue to do well long after the rip-off is gone, especially if we keep up our re-watches for all eight seasons before starting over, or start over after Season Three or Season Four, while any fans who want to continue past that can set up their own re-watches.
Had the rip-off been a good show, a true reboot that had shown us how S4-8 should've been done, that would be totally different. But not this mess that's made a laughingstock out of our show and is about everything EXCEPT three sisters who happened to be witches--just like S4-8, which as everyone knows, I count as the alternate-universe spin-off that has nothing to do with Charmed except the name. The same is true for this rip-off that they DARED to call Charmed just in order to cash in on its name and fame and try to cash in on "MeToo". Now that you don't see that much about MeToo, they don't care about the series, so why should we?
It's better if it just goes away and is forgotten, so when fans talk about "Charmed", they mean Classic Charmed only.
I'm glad I've never wasted a second on this mess and that I've never called it "Charmed" since it does not deserve to have that name. To me, it will always be the rip-off since if it wasn't called "Charmed" it wouldn't have lasted a half-season.

OOPS! My bad! It's been almost 21 years since "Something Wicca This Way Comes" debuted - have our re-re-watch on my brain too much. It's been 13 years since Charmed ended.

To me, it will always be the rip-off since if it wasn't called "Charmed" it wouldn't have lasted a half-season. It just hasn't worked, and glad, I've not wasted any time on it myself. I'd much rather waste that time to my favorite Classic Charmed series, and the re-watches and discussions after bring us all so much joy.
I see very little love for it online compared to Classic Charmed (and its not doing well with promoting/support and now not at Comic Con this year), and if it was never called Charmed, it may never have been picked up to begin with. And that what annoys me, these days they using old shows and slapping on modern times storytelling and culture, thinking that will make it a hit. Why are they not coming up with new original shows, inspired by old Classics like Charmed.
I think if other witch shows like Witches of East End and Secret Circle had been very well, they may never have bothered to bring back Charmed, I'd expect the success of those shows would have led them to creating a new show inspired by Charmed and the others instead.

It would be nice if the show got rid of whitelighters once and for all.
And yet . . . it's a hit show. Personally, I haven't watched the original series in a long time.

It's far from a hit, it isn't a failure but it started out strong and ended up falling behind Roswell and Legacies thus the move to the Friday timeslot where it will likely remain for the remainder of its run.

But I heard unlike most networks, The CW tends to renew all their shows regardless of ratings. I remember reading this past season, they didn't cancel anything at all that was a freshman show. Is that a first.
It is hardly a hit, but I wonder how S2 will do with these new showrunners I heard being hired.

deadline.com/2019/08/charmed-jordan-donica-series-regular-season-2-1202706897/"The Vera-Vaughn sisters will be meeting an intriguing new character in the upcoming second season of the CW’s Charmed. Jordan Donica is joining the cast as a new series regular in the role of Jordan, a mysterious law student/amateur boxer that the Vera-Vaughn sisters meet in the new world in which they now find themselves. It is unclear what the status of two other series regulars namely Ellen Tamaki and Nick Hargrove entering Season 2. On television, Donica recently guest-starred on Blue Bloods. An accomplished theatre actor, Donica recently originated the role of Freddy Eynsford-Hill in the Tony-nominated Lincoln Center Theater production of My Fair Lady. He most recently starred as Lancelot in Lincoln Center Theater’s gala production of Camelot opposite Lin Manuel Miranda. Donica made his debut starring as Raoul in the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera. Donica is repped by The Talent House, Park Avenue Artists, Bold MP and Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris & Klein. Season 2 of Charmed premieres Friday, October 11 at 8 PM on The CW."
