Don't watch this show. But I found a video on Youtube. Looks like fun, and nice to see Holly on television again. She hasn't had an acting role in a few years.  It's a shame Shannen or Rose couldn't play the other sister. But I get why that wasn't possible. But oh, would that have been fantastic if it were Shannen playing the brain dead sister with the other two coming to the ICU to see her character. |

Nice to see them together again, this is a nice treat for fans. Looks like they had loads of fun channelling their inner Piper and Phoebe.
I wonder if Shannen or Rose were approached to play the sister who was brain dead after falling at a construction site?
They were great in what I saw of them in the clips.

Funny although they sound like Piper and Phoebe, they don't look like Piper and Phoebe, not even older versions, but I can't figure out why.
Still, as others said, it was good to see them acting as sisters again.
I can't quite see Shannen agreeing to play someone who's brain-dead after her cancer experiences, but it's fun to think that this could've happened to Prue rather than be killed, especially if they found out she *wasn't* brain-dead.
I also wonder if either Shannen or Rose were contacted. Perhaps Krista Vernoff (and I love the idea of HER as a showrunner for a Charmed reboot as compared to Kern!) just wanted Holly and Alyssa because they get along and perhaps could later star in a Charmed reboot after the rip-off goes away - or battles it on a different station - that could be fun!
Wouldn't it be fun if someone told Krista about our "Elemental Charmed" and they did something like that with Holly and Alyssa playing Patience Warren and Paige Warren?

They looked so different and only sound like our Piper and Phoebe. Oh yes. That is tough and maybe too much for Shannen to play given her cancer or she was simply too busy with other parts and roles and Rose is too tied up with other non acting gigs these days. It is fun to imagine this being Prue and her turning out not to be brain dead. Krista would be great as a showrunner over Kern. I believe she was only around for S3-S5. Can't remember. If they starred in EC. Wouldn't that be perfect. |

It’s just so odd that it’s about another sister. Most charmed OG fans that might not get to read these articles online will be expecting it to be either Shannon or Rose. I’m sure many fans will be really disappointed when they find out it’s not one of them.

So I watched this episode even though I’ve never watched a single grey’s anatomy episode. And it’s in its 16th season. Imagine that. What I found interesting in this episode were holly and Alyssa’s names. Holly - Heidi Peterson Alyssa - Haylee Peterson Sister- Heather Peterson All their names started with an “H”. Like “P” on charmed. And their last name starts with a “P”. “H” on charmed. And in this greys anatomy episode Alyssa character is so into psychic’s, and this drives holly’s character crazy. Then they talk about themselves being sisters that were once very close but later drifted apart. Imagine how phoebe would be if she was much older, had lost her powers for quite a while and was now learning to deal with situations beyond her control as a mortal. Holly was too calm throughout the episode and didn’t remind me too much of piper. There was one scene where she and Alyssa were arguing and going at each other, which isn’t like piper and phoebe. The only time I remember piper and phoebe having an argument was in “repo manor”, after phoebe vanquished the demon without pipers consent. Though phoebe was possessed in that scene. |

When Alyssa first meets Holly and she is walking down the corridor... it reminded me of Phoebe walking into the manor when she had a dilemma. For some reason it reminded me of the They're Everywhere when Phoebe walks in right after Prue and Piper had cast the thought hearing spell.
The bickering reminded me of a Knight to Remember when Piper and Phoebe are chained to the wall. One of my favourite lines from that episode is when the prisoner girl asks Phoebe; "what land are you from?" -- Phoebe:"Disneyland... Futureworld" and Piper tells Phoebe off!
Also when Phoebe is saying "walk awayyyy from the light" it reminds me of "big push..." when she's helping Piper deliver Wyatt.

Yes and the bickering part. That was really piper in her argument mode. And what they are bickering about is so funny. It’s like them fighting over whether to perform a specific spell or not. Alyssa wants to commune and talk to her sisters spirit and insists it’s still in her sisters body, and holly is arguing that a psychic isn’t a real doctor. 😊. What made me laugh is they are bickering and the doctors leave and come back later and they are still going at it until the one doctor says “Stop. Enough!!” And holly says to Alyssa that he sounds like mom. That was funny as that’s what patty would do when the girls were fighting, like in “cheaper by the coven”
Another notable thing is the other sister is called heather, and Shannen played the character Heather in the popular 80s tv show and 2018 reboot “Heathers”. Leaves you to the imagination which sister its meant to be...

Thanks for this KW For me, I kinda of wouldn't mind if it was just Holly & Alyssa with Shannen and Rose making guest/reoccurring appearances. Would make sense given that Prue is dead (and was non-summonable apparently in the original) and Paige would have embraced being a white-lighter and had her life separate to Piper and Phoebe (who would have been close until the end). I would even picture Piper and Phoebe living in an extended manor and Phoebe renting out her loft. I would also only want Leo and Coop (dare I say it... id rather have Cole) only appear as guest stars. But would love to see T. W King and Ivan Sergei (Henry?) together for a couple of scenes. Would also be great if Prue spent time with Chris. The Netflix series has to focus on the sisterhood and the chemistry between the actresses to make it work. Piper/Phoebe Holly/Alyssa would be the most feasible combinations of sisters/actresses that would make a great combo - if they were NOT apart of production or writing! Maybe for each of the 8 episodes, they could have a guest star from each? Who would you pic? Myself: S1: Andy/Prue obviously S2: Penny S3: Cole S4: Patty/Victor S5: Leo S6: Chris/Wyatt S7: Daryl/Sheila S8: Paige/Henry Wonder if some of these actors would also come back for the remake! |

I watched Grey's for years until I finally had enough (they killed my two favourite characters two episodes apart. if you know, you know!) but when I heard that Holly and Alyssa were going to be in an episode I ran to watch! It was fun and I could definitely feel the wink to the audience as it wasn't subtle at ALL. I like to think that they're alternate reality Piper and Phoebe! |
