I think that the new producers seem to be doing rather well here making the witches care about innocents, the explanation about their house although someone's bound to find out the truth soon, Macy and Harry's potential slow burn relationship although I wouldn't want that happening, and Mel not replying on her powers and thinking with her brain something the original sisters didn't really do in the later seasons obviously.
Loved Macy's demon look. Very plausible in her gear, hair and makeup also unlike Phoebe in her dominatrix outfit originally.
I also liked the music box sentiment too which was a nice sisterly nod of course.
When speaking about dad Maggie reminded me of Phoebe from the first time her, Piper, and Prue met Victor season 1 then wanting to go to his funeral etc. And Mel reminded me of Prue who thought Victor was a deadbeat.
The one grip I had about the episode was Layla being burned when she should've about to have being hung but otherwise a solid episode here.

Interesting episode.
I wonder if Harry's Doppelganger killed Ray. Most of the people online I'm reading from places think so. It felt so obvious he killed them in order to get the sisters to come out to the funeral, so he could find where they are.
Also, I didn't feel anything for Ray's death, sorry, we haven't even met the guy, and they just tossed him away without seeing him. But, know about know next to nothing about their family history. Only seen their mother, and heard about their dads, but that's it. Dying to unlock the mysteries of their ancestors, and meet their version of Melinda Warren, and I hope we get that.
We got to learn a lot more about the demon hierarchy, and that was okay. Still hoping Warlocks are introduced or are they the male witches in this series?
The relationship stuff is off to the side, and this felt more like Classic Charmed Season 1 to me, watching that in the Cafe re-watch, where they didn't let that take center stage. I'm hoping this continues.
We have that with Maggie and her new guy, but it is not forced and feels like an organic build-up. Please don't bring back Parker, just when these two get together.
I see what they are doing with Harry and Macy. Although, I'm not that into then being together, at least it isn't forced and seems to be a slow build-up.
The command center/secret base might be the one thing I'm not that into. Feels a little too Power Rangers/DC for me, and they'll get caught or someone will find the location eventually. Rather they ditch that place eventually.
If they keep up the pace, keep the focus on the sisters as these first two have, and keep the relationship drama to a minimum, we'll have a much better improved show, from the really bad First Season.

I agree and hope that's what happens Katie.
