Is Melinda canonically Piper and Leo's daughter?

Okay, so Forever Charmed is not many people's favourites, including me but one thing I like is everyone does end up happy and with their own families, which is sweet. That said, is Melinda Halliwell actually a canon character? In Morality Bites future, Piper and Leo have Melinda, no Wyatt or Chris. But in this new future, Wyatt and Chris are emphasised on and no Melinda. Even in the last scene where all the families are being shown, Phoebe and Paige's kids are explicitly mentioned but nowhere is it mentioned that the little girl with Wyatt and Chris is their sister and not their cousin. What are other people's thoughts on this?

That's true, Forever Charmed is not among many peoples favorites. And I can't stand any of the flashforwards. Not my ideal ending, I'd have been happier, with a short time jump after the battle to 6 months later. My actually ending, I'd love is the sisters walking up the steps to mirror the first episode.

But anyway back to the question at hand.

The original script may have stated she was Melinda, but it wasn't mentioned on-screen, none of the children got names, the flashforwards just show us what we see, but we don't have any idea who they are or what the names of them are.

I believe that little girl is meant to be Wyatt and Chris' sister, I don't think they'd have paired them with a cousin since all the sister's children were grouped together in parts. Otherwise, they'd have done something more to show them all together.

Especially since that segment was Piper's future, so I doubt they'd have put a cousin in there. It's meant to be Piper's youngest daughter when she hands out lunch bags to two boys and a girl, I believe she's meant to be Piper's daughter. As for what her name is, that was left unrevealed, as are all the children, so any names given are always fanon.

Melinda is not canon, that was made clear when the Morality Bites Melinda got erased when Piper had Wyatt. Since that girl in that future is the same age as Wyatt presumably. So this little girl is someone new, who could even be named Prudence Melinda or just Melinda or some other name. We'll just never know.

Actually all three boys were named and none of the girls were. So the response to this is "No, the girls are not canonically named, especially since the comics are canon. So fans can call them whatever they want. For me, if she's the oldest of the girls, she'd be Prudence Melinda, the name that Piper was going to give Wyatt if he was the girl he should've been. For me, if Phoebe's daughter is the oldest, she'd be Prudence Patricia. We were never told Paige's adopted parents' names, but for me, her twins would be named after them, with their middle names Henry's choices. Speaking of Henry, I can't see him and Paige naming their son Junior. For me, he'd be Matthew Henry.

But like I said, fans can truly name the girls whatever they want since none of them were actually given names on the show, even if they were originally given names in the script. After all, not even Piper told us the name of her daughter or even mentioned that she had a daughter! We simply saw her with the boys. So she could've been one of the boys' cousin just as easily as she could've been a sister.
