I can't believe that it's Month-Day already! Unfortunately, PVille and Carina have been busy this last month, but PVille did three reviews (she only has two episodes left until she's done with S4 and will start our final season!) and Carina did one that I get to share. Worse, Deidre still isn't back. I sure hope she's okay. Of course, there's the possibility that she's no longer enjoying EC, but that would be better than her not okay.

THE 2022 WITCH HUNT HAS BEGUN - Prudence convinces Patience and Phoebe that Paige is innocent and didn't really frame Piper. But no sooner do they hug than Prudence receives a premonition of some witches in danger from a witch hunter. But when they arrive, the three Warrens find Paige and Peyton ready to stop them.

PVILLE SAID: That tagline really has set up so much drama.

Oh this is so juicy, I love the drama a witch hunter preying on witches, and Paige and Peyton ready to stop them.

Love it!

Finding out that Paige has become a warlock, they set out to save her, while also trying to find a way to save Paige’s daughter Peyton, still not knowing that Peyton is using Andrea’s body and mind. But the mysterious man who visited Piper in the prison has recorded everything he's seen and now blackmails the Warrens in return for their help in helping him help a hit man.

PVILLE SAID: Now that is a great cliffhanger! The drama keeps getting so good with a witch hunter blackmailing them. I love it! Perfect for what you'd want as we reach closer to the end of S4, and the final season. 

Only four more to go for S4. I can't believe it.

MAKE-BELIEVE WARLOCK COMES TO LIFE - When a traveling carnival comes to Salem, Phoebe's college paper wants her to do a story as part of her college thesis. Phoebe decides to try to cheer up her grandmother and mother by taking them to the carnival and getting them out of the house.

PVILLE SAID: I love a good carnival. I do agree, get out of the house, guys - this is a good way to cheer you all up.

But when she enters a tent, she finds a cult of young women who believe in witches and warlocks and worship their supposed ruler. Phoebe's attempt to correct one of the cult's spell goes horribly wrong when it conjures their made-up leader in the flesh.

PVILLE SAID: Oh, no, but again, I really love that a make-believe warlock comes to life. I love stories like that!

Now the cult sets out to gain new followers for their leader, so it's up to Prudence, Patience and Phoebe to stop a warlock who doesn't really exist - without the full power of the Elemental Witches.

PVILLE SAID: What a cool plot, and without the full power, how will they vanquish a warlock who doesn't really exist? I love this plot!

Meanwhile while in still in prison, Piper is visited by Matthew, who proposes to her. But Piper won't give him an answer since she fears he is only asking because she may be convicted and he's trying to make her feel better.

PVILLE SAID: WOW, a proposal! But Piper is right. Like her, I hope he isn't doing it just to make her feel better.

PVILLE SAID: I love this. I wonder if it is about Patience and Paige.

WHY MUST INNOCENTS ALWAYS COME FIRST? - Patience tries again to get through to her sister Paige and sets out to put herself in danger, in the hopes that Paige will save her. But Patience isn't thinking straight. Prudence is the one who rescues her older daughter before sadly reminding Patience that in order to become a witch again, a warlock must willingly save an Innocent - someone who is innocent of the existence of magic - so rescuing a Warren wouldn't count.

PVILLE SAID: I love that, a warlock must willingly save an innocent and someone who is innocent of the existence of magic. I really like that.

But poor Patience is really not thinking straight; she so badly wants to save her sister.

Later Prudence has a premonition of the Demon of Despair kidnapping young children. This demon forms nightmares tearing away the foundations of self and purpose. While trying to rescue the children, the demon uses Patience's despair caused by her inability to save her younger sister to turn her into his next victim. Can Prudence and Phoebe save her when they're now three Elementals down?

PVILLE SAID: Demon of Despair, interesting. I love how it ties so well in with Patience and her feelings. What a great plot!

Meanwhile, Piper receives some very unpleasant news, and reconsiders her future.

PVILLE SAID: Oh, no, poor Piper! Her trial must be coming soon I bet, or her outcome not good to win.

Season 3, Episode 14: ”Stuck in the Past and Sent to the Past”

WILL SENDING TWO WARRENS TO THE PAST RESCUE TWO WARRENS ALREADY STUCK IN THE PAST? - Still shattered by what has happened to Piper and Phoebe, Prudence tells Patience and Paige about her earlier premonition. Telling them about a younger Patience and a very-young Piper lets them conclude that the younger Warrens may have been sent to the '90s. When Paige asks what else she saw, Prudence admits she also saw Peyton. Paige's face turns white, and Patience comforts her, imagining how hard it must be for her younger sister to be reminded of her dead daughter.

CARINA: Yay!!! Some mention of Peyton, Paige's daughter.

But Paige shrugs her off and changes the subject by talking about the warlocks and the artifact they were holding, so the three head to the family book of shadows, hoping for answers.

CARINA: My poor Paige. Understandable. But she's right, the artifacts and finding her nieces is a priority.

Checking the family book of shadows, they find that the artifact was forged back in the early 1700s and is indeed powerful enough to repel good witches. This reminds Prudence that back in her days in Philadelphia with Andrea and the coven, a warlock tricked one of Prudence’s best friends, Bridget – the one who introduced Prudence to Andrea after Bridget moved from Salem to Philadelphia and joined Andrea’s coven - into creating something that would repel good witches.

CARINA: WOW! A Warren family lesson. Love learning about their past!

Very neat it repels good witches. I love that it goes back to Andrea and the coven days.

Prudence concludes that they should go back into the past for answers, using a blood-to-blood spell to send them to the two younger Warrens. But Patience thinks they should contact Bridget for answers first. But Prudence remembers that Bridget has gone on a cruise and will be unreachable for a few weeks, so Andrea would probably be a better option. She contacts Andrea, who agrees to help, so Paige transports to Philadelphia and fetches her aunt.

CARINA: Yes, contact Andrea.

Sitting down and discussing the situation, the four women decide to send Patience and Paige back in time, to learn firsthand from their past selves. Andrea creates a spell to glamour the pair to prevent them from being exposed while Patience and Paige come up with a cover story.

CARINA: I love time travel.

Prudence wants to go, too, but doesn't know what might happen if she runs into herself. Andrea has the same problem, so the two decide to stay behind and try to find a way to contact Piper and Phoebe somehow and return them home.

CARINA: Smart idea.

Meanwhile, Piper and Phoebe, still stuck in the 90s, decide to sneak back into the Manor, since Phoebe cannot resist meeting the cousin she has never known. When they return inside, the two are caught by Prudence, who screams for Patience. Before the two can even say anything, Patience runs in and throws her arm, throwing the two right out the front door. The two sisters bail and make a run for it, but not before Melinda sees them and takes off in the other direction.

CARINA: Oh no, the warlock saw them. But expected alright. Lol

Melinda approaches her sister, Charlotte, and admits that she is unsure if they will find what they are looking for in this time period - that they might need to go back further in time - but they should keep looking. As they continue to plot, we realize that the sister warlocks are the ones responsible for Allen Halliwell's death, and that they still find it funny that Prudence thinks she vanquished her late husband's killer decades ago. Melinda grins evilly. "So, shall we go farther back in time and make sure that Prudence never meets Allen? We do that and we'll wipe the Elemental Witches right off the map!"

CARINA: WHAT???!!! I never saw that coming! The warlock who killed Prudence's husband. This is her! OMG!

GDC: Looking forward to looking at the new reviews. We about to have lunch, so we might just review one for now. 

I sure hope real life has just got in the way, I'd hate that she stopped enjoying EC, but at the same time, I'd prefer she let us know. So hoping it's the earlier. 

GC: I'm so glad they are still reviewing it. I'm worried about Deidre though dears.

GC: We always had fun coming up with these. Just as we do now in CCDOW Saturday group. Ours is less closer to canon than Sunday, so we have fun changing those.

GDC: I love carnivals too. And If I'm not mistaken Charmed did have them going to one in canon in 'Sense and Sense Ability' but it was a very brief scene.

GDC: Yes, I sure liked it, and perfect for a story you'd want when they don't have the full power of Elemental Witches. I'm glad, that ours it isn't a full story, I have no idea, how we'd get them out of this one. But, I have a hunch, they'd simply have to stop believing in this warlock, and stop following him, and they'd ease to exist. That's just my guess.

RUTH: Me too, we didn't get many witch hunters on the show, and if we did, it was just one episode. Could have been an interesting mini-arc on Charmed.
