HAPPY 18TH MONTH-DAY, TEAM CHARMED CAFE!

WOW! I was so busy at work this week that I didn't even notice that yesterday was the 13th, the day I usually start this thread! Fortunately I woke up early this morning, so I hope I can get this taken care of before most of you wake up - my apologies to our Charmed Family and others in Australia and New Zealand or any others in the Far East.

Unfortunately Carina is having problems with her computer and although she "liked" a number of episodes, she won't be able to actually review them until malls open and she can take it in to a computer shop. We still haven't heard hide or hair from Deidre and I'm VERY worried about her! I hope it's her computer that's sick like Carina's and not her.

PVille's been busy, but she did do ONE review - our Season Four finale! I can't believe that she's ready to start our final season!

But, I just want to say PVille, I really am glad you are enjoying our series, and are this deep with one to go. I like that you like the twists and turns we did with our finale of Season 4. I simply loved what both Summer and Pheebs contributed to this arc.

Katie Warren: WOW Es, that is so amazing to think about. I sure think the virtual reboot will outlast it. I did watch the reboot but gave up for good in S2, it truly won't be remembered. Classic Charmed will be remembered 100% when people think of Charmed.

Katie Warren: I gave it a good go, and now I'm so glad to be free of it. So glad Es you didn't waste a second on it, I wished I made that decision from the start.

Katie Warren: But now it makes me not want The CW to bring back Classic Charmed in any way shape or form in the near future or next 5-10 years, in a reboot, revival, or next-generation series. I just don't trust them to do it justice.

Katie Warren: Personally rather, Classic Charmed still be remembered fondly, and it will, nobody will talk about the rip-off (first time I've called it that, but it is true) in five years. Classic will always be the show that people think of when they think Charmed.

Esmeralda: You know as well as I do that if it was NOT called Charmed it would've never been aired, much less renewed for a second season. It's why I've always called it the rip-off always will.

Esmeralda: It's why I love our idea of Elemental Charmed because it gave Classic Charmed its due without stealing its name.

Esmeralda: If they'd called the rip-off ANYTHING but Charmed so when people hear that word they're not sure which one they're talking about, I wouldn't call it the rip-off.

Esmeralda: But I'm grateful to the rip-off. Without it we wouldn't have Team Charmed Cafe and we wouldn't have Elemental Charmed and Classic Charmed Done Our Way, the way I'm glad we have S4-8 or we wouldn't have so many fantastic fanfics!

Katie Warren: That's true, I am so grateful too, as I'd never have joined the Cafe wanting to be part of it in the first place.

I truly can't believe it has been a year and a half since we started EC. It doesn't feel like that long. What's more insane to think, is due to COVID-19, it is such a coincidence that our Wither Pox storyline so happens to now take place during the REAL WORLD, or at least we did it in Season Three, of course, we never anticipated that. But, it just came to my mind now.

Just did not like any of the sisters one single bit and having a cute guy upstaging them didn't help any when I was 50. Katie Warren: That's true, I am so grateful too, as I'd never have joined the Cafe wanting to be part of it in the first place.

JEAN: Me too. The reason I joined the Cafe. Sad to think I'd never have meet all you amazing bunch at the Cafe, if I didn't join, I'd just have met Katie at another site. So I have to be thankful, as I don't think Team Charmed Cafe would exist if it wasn't for The CW rebooting Charmed.

ES: For the heck of it, I checked fanfiction.net and there's ONE rip-off fanfic and over 14,000 Classic Charmed fanfics! That tells you plenty regarding what fans think of it! Now again most of those were written either after S6 or after Classic Charmed ended, but even so...

PRUDENCE: That just shows you how little people care about it. I'm surprised it doesn't have more. Of course, Classic Charmed has 20 years to build a fanfiction community. But, still that shows how little fans care about it. 

Katie Warren: And the what ifs? are always the best part of the Cafe, I certainly enjoy seeing what ideas fan come up with, I don't think most of us would be here, if we didn't have S4-S8. If Charmed was a perfect show, you don't have much else to talk about.

Esmeralda: You are exactly right about that! I'm even grateful for Prue not telling Andy the secret right away or the triangle in S2 because it's been such fun fixing those mistakes in Classic Charmed Done Our Way.

JEAN: That's so true. Really loved what we've done so far, and if Classic Charmed had gone better, maybe CCDOW wouldn't have even existed in the first place, if Charmed was a perfect show.

ES: I've said for a long, long time, that if Charmed was a perfect show, the Cafe would no longer exist because every thread would be very short since we'd all agree on everything - BORING! So glad that this is a discussion forum and not just a fangirl/fanboy site.

PRUDENCE: I don't think many of us )or all) would be here, and this forum would just be a ghost town. I certainly wouldn't, I'd just end up watching Charmed on my own very so often, but never discuss it online with anybody. 

The fangirl/fanboy sites, I've been part of one of those before a long time ago, and didn't stay too long, because it got boring when it was just praising the actors, episodes and characters and nothing else.
