Piper is my favorite character on Charmed, but I no doubt see why she's very polarizing. Mainly stemming from later seasons. Even I myself as a Piper fan can roll my eyes at times, however once instance I just simply don't get. It's very common to state how Piper treats Leo horribly and is generally negative around him. However in my opinion the worst case of it would be in the Season 7 episode Witchness Protection. I can see some on Piper's part to maybe feel upset or conflicted when Leo leaves, however what she gets mad at him for is borderline petty. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVjWBOCGgE4&t=93s Seriously Piper you lambast Leo and treat him like crap just because his face in the group picture had a slight blur? I also hate her attitude of "I'm gonna hang it any way, better than nothing". To be fair though this is an episode where all sisters are bad.

I remember that part of Witchness Protection, and I too didn't like Piper there. She does have a horrible attitude. I'm not sure why some people think that sort of thing is funny, or that her attitude is relatable. I've been around people like that, people whose tension seeps out all the time and blame others for things that aren't their fault, and it's hard to be around. And she constantly wants normal this and normal that, but she was the one who married a whitelighter and refuses to bind her magical children's powers.
Conversely, I love Piper early on, especially in season 1. I wish the people in charge of the show had kept the sweet chef rather than make it their mission to make Piper all about sarcasm and complaining.

That scene is easily a top 5 for the worst for sure. I'd even rank it up there with one of Piper's worst Leo treatments of the show. Normally she's just negative due to the fact he's magical or because he's gone, but now she just seems to blame him for something so petty no matter how small it is. And her tone in response to him was just ugh! I hated that "Y'know what? I'm going to hang it anyway" she sounded so spiteful toward him and Leo doesn't retort back he just takes it.
But yeah I would say this was the worst part of the episode if Paige wasn't so bad throughout the whole episode that tops this scene. I also agree with Elle Em I loved Piper in early seasons, especially innocent Piper from Season 1. Piper just never seemed like she could be happy with anything and looked for an excuse to complain or just be unhappy because that's the person she grew to be. She wanted a normal life, yet kept her kids having magical powers and married an angel, yet complain her kids would be using magic recklessly and the fact Leo being an angel makes him too busy.

The amount of wasted time Charmed spends trying to persuade fans into believing these two are "soulmates" is laughable. I just watched the 7 year witch and almost hurled when the Billy Zane character referred to their love as being "epic". (Maybe epic in the same way the Titanic sinking was epic.) Piper and Leo have never been believable as a loving couple, no matter how many times Charmed shows them making googly eyes at each other as the scene fades to black and the credits roll.

In Piper's defense, Leo did lie to her, and I can understand being frustrated/hurt when your significant other is hiding something from you. That being said, I gloss over the "mistreatment" (so people are calling it, these days) as a bad attempt at trying to apply humor, into the show. It's not that deep, IMO.
