A sequel to the thread How old were you when you first started watching Charmed thecharmedcafe.proboards.com/thread/11651/old-when-started-watching-charmedSo it got me thinking about that one, and wanted to make a new thread myself as a sequel now. This one is asking, how old are Charmed fans now today. Also has you opinion changed over the years as you have gotten older than when you first watched Charmed at a younger age? Has your opinion stayed mostly the same or for new fans who haven't been watching for too long or less than a decade, has your opinion on the series started to change over the last few years?

I turned 67 last July.
Since I was in my 40s when Charmed started, my reactions haven't changed that much.

I'm 35, and yes my opinions have changed slightly from when I was a teenager, and so far in my re-watch of the series, It's the Piper/Leo relationship that has changed the most, while I'll be be interested to find out how I feel when we re-watch S3 next month, as that will let me know if anything has changed.

I'll be turning 36 next month. Part of why I can't wait to re-watch next month with S3, to see how my opinions change, as I haven't seen some episodes in so long.

31, so voted the 30-39 age range in the poll.
Like others, this re-watch will really help me see if my opinions have changed, and they have especially Love Hurts and The Power of Two, I used to love those ones, now not so much now, mostly the way Kern writes Prue and Phoebe in TPOT, and Piper in LH. Also, a few others in S2 have changed slightly in the re-watch.

I voted for the 30-39 range in the poll, but I am 29 and not technically in that box yet (just turned 29 over the summer).
I feel like I was a little young when Charmed started so that's why I voted a little older. If I had to make one choice about who Charmed's target audience was, I would say adult women - this means fans could be born anywhere from 1978 and prior. I think my mom is a good example of this - she absolutely loves Charmed, and when the show started she was 33 - she is 56 now.
My mother is from a family of 8: 6 girls and 2 boys. Four of her sisters have passed away. I think her age (being able to relate to all of the sisters as an adult woman) as well as the sisterly bond is what initially attracted her to the show.
EDIT: I changed my vote to reflect my current age (20-29). But I stand by my statementsand believe everyone has the right to change their mind.

Oh yes, the fun of these polls, you can change your vote, so anybody who gets older and is now part of a different age group now, can change their vote. I do think Charmed is one of the few WB shows to have a fanbase that isn't just for the under 30s, I still think lots of mothers watched with their daughters, older woman (much like your mom Forbuss or like Es and Granny Charmed who started watching when they were in their 40s) or even just families.

I'm 31. My opinions of the show have changed quite a bit. I looked up to these women and thought they could do no wrong, and I wanted more and more magic in every way possible.
I always liked the first four seasons better than the last four, but it took a while to be able to articulate why. Now I don't think much of the last half of the show, and I like to pretend it happened much differently than what it did.
I have a much greater appreciation for Prue now than I did when I was younger.

I'm 43, and my opinion hasn't changed about the show. I just watch it for entertaining.

I'm not sure if my opinions have changed. Charmed always has and always will be my all time favourite show.
I think some of my opinions have changed from discussions about the show, both on here and in my friends circle (I have a few close friends who also like it). They, like most, prefer the earlier seasons. I have one friend who has not watched season eight since it aired on TV 14 years ago because she hated it so much. She is *QUITE* intense about her opinions haha and we always have good arguments.
At the end of the day, Charmed wasn't perfect - most shows aren't. It's just something about the show and the sisters - I enjoy watching them so much and I feel like they are my friends (in a good way, not a sad way).

I'm 40 and Charmed is still one of my favourite series after 21 years nearly although my opinion has changed about the show certainly from the first time I viewed it.
I definitely notice the inconsistences and what I thought was good then might not be okay now obviously.

Voted 50-59 range, as am 56. I was 34 when I first saw the show, and my opinions have changed. But so far during the re-watch of the series so far, some episodes have changed, it will make the upcoming seasons re-watch so interesting to see what might change or remain the same.

I love this thread! Just went back through all my old posts from 2006 when I first joined -- none of my opinions of the show have changed, but my grammar certainly has for the better, haha!
14 then, turning 28 this year! (Started watching when I was 7 in 1998). Crazy to think I am now the age of the characters were when they first became witches in Season 1. Charmed is still as much as a constant in my life as it was then. As someone mentioned above, able to pick out more inconsistencies. I check in here from time to time. Glad to see it becoming more active again!

Yeah, it really is crazy to think most of us are now the same age as the characters now than when we watched growing up, or some are now past and older than the characters now, so they feel more like Patty now. Good to see you back here again.

Yup, and funny to think I'm now the age Piper at the end of the series. So I'm reaching past the ages the sisters were on the show, when I was younger than them watching it when it aired.

Good to see you back here again. Oh yes, and most who grew up with the show can now introduce it to their own children, which is also so cool.
