Yeah, it really is crazy to think most of us are now the same age as the characters now than when we watched growing up, or some are now past and older than the characters now, so they feel more like Patty now. So now you guys know what it was like for me, watching the show in my 40s and 50s and feeling like Patty looking down on the sisters. Now I feel more like Grams! Based on that bogus family tree when the show premiered Patty would have been 48 and Penny would have been 61. Obviously this is wrong because we saw Penny in "Witchstock" as an adult woman and she had not yet had Patty (according to the family tree they paid no attention to she would have had her at 13). Prue was born in 1970, which would have made Patty 20 when she had Prue. I can believe this because Patty definitely seemed in her mid 20's in "That 70's Episode". If Penny had Patty when she was 20, that would make her born in 1930, meaning she would have been 68 when the show premiered. So let's say Penny was born late 20's/early 30's. Part of the reason this is confusing is Jennifer Rhodes is currently 73 - born in 1947. That's a whole 17 years younger than Grams according to my guesses. Finola Hughes is currently 60 - born in 1959 - 9 years younger than Patty. They both were (and looked) a lot younger than the characters. Sorry for this tangent (haha).

And now I'm a mother now, so I feel much like Piper when she had children, or Patty now. So strange to re-watch now, feeling that way now, than looking up to them when I first watched the show, In a way I'm happy that the Piper/Leo relationship in S6-S8, was a good life lesson on how I NEVER wanted to act like and how not to treat my husband and never turn into Piper.

I tell a lot of the kids I look after in after school club that I watched the show also.
Some know that maybe from their parents of having seen an episode themselves whilst others don't of course.

Out of interest do any of the kids watch the rip-off reboot, who had never seen Classic Charmed, but did check that out?

I've not told the children about the reboot yet actually so I'm not sure whether they've seen it or not yet.

I voted for the 30-39 range in the poll, but I am 29 and not technically in that box yet (just turned 29 over the summer). I feel like I was a little young when Charmed started so that's why I voted a little older. If I had to make one choice about who Charmed's target audience was, I would say adult women - this means fans could be born anywhere from 1978 and prior. I think my mom is a good example of this - she absolutely loves Charmed, and when the show started she was 33 - she is 56 now. My mother is from a family of 8: 6 girls and 2 boys. Four of her sisters have passed away. I think her age (being able to relate to all of the sisters as an adult woman) as well as the sisterly bond is what initially attracted her to the show. EDIT: I changed my vote to reflect my current age (20-29). But I stand by my statementsand believe everyone has the right to change their mind. The fun of these polls, you can change your vote, so feel free to change it to the new age range you'll be in next year, I'm sure others will do the same.

I am 29 so I originally joined the forums when I was about 13. I think I started watching around 2001 so I'd have been 10. It goes without saying that my opinions have changed but I still share a great affinity with the programme and I'm so grateful to have grown up with it.
I guess now I've got a more balanced opinion and my criticism are significantly more constructive. And my spelling and grammar have improved, that's for sure. Even if I forget to reread what I've written half of the time...
My opinion now is that the show had a fantastic premise and for the most part, the episodes themselves had some really interesting plots but unfortunately it was often let down by poor execution.
One thing that hasn't changed...my opinion on Brad Kern. I still think he is responsible for so much of the show's wasted potential.

I am 22 years old.
I have enjoyed watching Charmed for the over a decade now, the show has always been interesting to me even if I don't agree with every decision that the writers, producers, directors or even a combination of all three have made, it is still a show that I keep returning to always excited to watch the journey of the Halliwell/Matthews sisters and how they have changed over the years.
I have always found each of them to be role models in different ways, they all symbolise something different and have proven over the duration that they will always be role models that I have been proud to look up to throughout my early tweens to my adulthood, the idea of sisterhood, even if it is watered down in the later seasons, has always been something to admire.
I think we can all agree that the sisters are and forever will be iconic.

30-39.
32 right now, had my birthday back in May.
And my opinions have changed so much. Having not watched or thought about the show for fifthteen years, until I got back into it to re-watch during the pandemic. It's been lots of fun to discover it with the eyes of someone entering their 30s, than someone who was a teenager.

Be interesting to see if those now in their 40s and 50s, start to see Charmed more like you did in your 40s and 50s now. I'll be intrigued to see if I get there. More hints to my real age LOL I'm getting there, though ;P I have changed my mind, SEVERAL times, so we'll see. Maybe I might start liking Prue, IDK xD

I turn 48 in November so I am almost the same age as the actresses that played the sisters. I actually haven't changed my views on the series or the characters no matter how many times I have watched it. I absolutely couldn't do the reboot though.

Turned 37 in May and I didn't get into Charmed until seeing some of the reruns of season 4 during the summer of '02 before season 5 started in September.

30-39.
I do love the diverse age groups here. But the ones in the majority doesn't surprise me.

30-39 (I'm 33 - though most of the time I still feel 19).
My opinions on the show haven't changed, it is still one of my favorite shows of all time - despite its flaws. It is a constant and a comfort for me and I think it's one of the things that shaped me into the person I am - I was 13 (I think, around there anyway, maybe younger) when I discovered Charmed.
My opinions have definitely changed on the sisters, though, which I do find interesting. One major thing is my first watch through, I didn't like Prue at all, now she's my top 2.
