What are your thoughts on Kill Billie Vol. 2 being the end of Charmed? I for one think the show would be more remembered and respected if this were the case. Something Wicca This Way Goes already gave us a neat conclusion and season 8 was largely unneeded. Ending on a tragic note would be shocking and make people remember the series far more, and would be a much more ballsy move than the plot hole riddled cozy blanket that is Forever Charmed.

If it means Forever Crap doesn't exist, I'd be all for this ending, with the manor going kaboom.
But, if they ended the show in S7, with Something Wicca This Way Goes with the manor basement kaboom, and the show ended here, I'd be even happier with this and no season 8 at all.
Imagine if they did die, and THEN Leo was returned, and he took his sons and helped raise them alone with the help of Victor.
Nothing wrong with an ending like that made us decide what happened next, and if they survived or not, but most viewers tend to hate endings like this, and think they feel cheated not knowing what happens next, with not knowing what we know now, and seeing how the show did end, this would be welcomed, we'll at least for me.

I don't hate Forever Charmed enough for this to be the ending for me, sortof how I don't hate season eight enough to wish that "Something Wicca This Way Goes" was the series finale.
I do want to recognize I think the episode is received much worse on this board (and maybe with more hard core fans everywhere) than in general. I don't love Forever Charmed, but I think it attempted to play to the shows strength with the family bonds being showcased.
I have a weird relationship with Forever Charmed. I don't like the beginning or the end, but I like the middle - after Phoebe and Paige are brought back, but before the epilogue. If the epilogue was replaced with the scene of the family hugging (with Henry also there) with a zoom out of the manor to the door closing I'd basically be satisfied. Oh and CUT the scene with old Piper and Leo, it's literally so pointless.

Could have done without Chris and Wyatt who served no purpose other than just bringing back everyone for the heck of it. Maybe they could have book ended the finale to the first episode, Piper, Phoebe and Paige walking up the steps just like how Prue, Piper and Phoebe ended the first episode doing, and then show all three of them (not just Old Piper and Leo) walking up the steps of the manor with the photos on the wall. Apart from hating the epilogue flashforwards which shouldn't have been included, I didn't like how they made it all about Piper and Leo as the last ones seen, when the last image we see on the series should've been the sisters.

It would be shocking. But I would like it to end with this explosion. I'd just like to see Paige dead. At the start of the serie Jeremy said that there are thousands and that they will die. I would like to say to myself "yes prue Phoebe and Paige will lose their lives".

I didn't like Forever Charmed either and would've preferred seeing certain people more or someone else added in whilst another was omitted in that episode then with the flash forward only happening 6 months ahead or not anyway so no children were seen except young Wyatt and Chris maybe because they were already on the show then.
I see where Kill Bill volume 2 would've been shocking had that been the actual series finale not knowing if anyone died or survived or if Leo was brought back etc leaving it up to fans to make their own decisions what happened with many a fanfic or forum and social media discussions told throughout the years but as Katie said people tend to want to know what happens with characters in television series's and would feel cheated that being left unattended hence the aftermath of the explosion and what happened next was shown then.

I agree with you. Why was the last shot a bunch of people we didn't know? We spent 8 years watching this show. I don't want to see an older woman and little kid I've never saw before as the last scene to my favourite show. UGH!!

Fans could come up with better endings and the last scene than what Kern wrote.

I think the last scene should've been when they tell Paige it's time to meet Prue. They lead her up to the attic, get the candles ready and put the book on the page to summon a spirit. The white lights form. We cut to outside the manor with a vo of Prue saying Paige

They easily could do it even without showing Prue's face like they did with Patty meeting Paige. Just have Prue summoned and show Prue from behind hugging Paige and shot it from Paige's POV hugging her back. Even using the spirit board is another option.

With these conversations I always just think about how much money the show could have made by including Shannen. Could you imagine? I think twice the viewers would have tuned it when the finale aired.

Oh if Shannen had appeared in the final episode fans definitely would've tuned in then.

I seriously would have preferred to see Prue than to see Wyatt and Chris, I find it absurd that they are coming from the future the scenario is stupid, they came only for the fans ... If it was still too expensive, I would have preferred to see Prue and no one else. For example, the angel of destiny bringing back Leo and Prue as a gift. How about Cole or some other demon to imprison the hollow. Because the power of three is useless against the hollow. An end scene with the four sisters coming home.

I love the idea of Prue being given to the sisters by the Angel of Destiny with Leo. And I agree about Chris and Wyatt, baby Chris and baby Wyatt were enough. But I think the Chris fans would be pretty disappointed if he didn't appear so I am okay that he did.

In the perfect world, if they had a good budget for season 8, and Shannen agreed and they wanted her back, I can see Brian staying for 22 episodes, and Prue is the one given to the sisters by the Angel of Destiny, or perhaps instead of her just coming back for the final episode, they'd have brought her back for a 10-episode arc in the second half of S8, and not had Billie as a regular at all.
I do wonder if they didn't have a budget cut what S8 would have been like, but I have a feeling Billie was what the WB demanded, so maybe she'd always have been in it, regardless of the budget.

Yup, from what we've read, The WB would not have let Kern do an 8th season if Kern didn't introduce a sexy blonde witch that The WB could spin off.
Thank GOD that spin-off never happened - MUCH prefer Kaley in "The Big Bang Theory".
I would've preferred 'Something Wicca This Way Goes' as the finale, but without Piper and Phoebe able to steal Prue's power to move things with her mind, so they can't astral project. Piper and Phoebe die in the explosion while Paige panic-orbs out. We see Grams, Patty and PRUE lead Piper and Phoebe into the afterlife, while Paige and Henry agree to help Leo and Victor raise the boys. THE END!

This wouldn't be the way I would have liked it to end - but I respect this vision and it may be better than Forever Charmed. I really like the basic idea/concept of Forever Charmed but I think it was written poorly and could have been a lot better with some pretty minor changes. I've said it a thousand times, I hate the epilogue. It may be my most hated Charmed moment. It makes me want to cry I get so mad about it. So I would have preferred your "last scene" to the last scene in Forever Charmed. Also, I loved Kaley from "8 Simple Rules" which she was on before Charmed. Did anyone see the original Roswell? That is the best series finale of any show I have ever saw. Absolutely brilliant, breathtaking - I sob every time.
