Sun Room, I just love the entire setup.
Although the attic is nice, I just don't think It's as appealing apart from where the Book of Shadows stays on its stand.
If I was visiting, I'd be spending more time in the Sunroom than the attic. For starters, I'd very much have my allergies act up being in that attic. Plus the Book of Shadows can be taken into the Sunroom, so I wouldn't even want to be in there for more than a minute.

In S5E15 "The Day That Magic Died" it's a closet (the part saying it's a bathroom) LOL To expand on this, IK as early as S1E4 "Dead Man Dating" the "downstairs bathroom" was actually "shown", but it's obvious there's no bathroom there, and it was always a closet as S5E15 "The Day That Magic Died" shows. I always felt the "downstairs bathroom" never existed especially how oddly it was shot in S1E4 "Dead Man Dating". I believe there's two bathrooms, but they're both upstairs.

Anyway, I thought of this thread, when I put a list together on how often (at least) one person (main character, minor character, guest character, etc.) actually sat (in a chair and not on the table, itself, like Cole did in S4E13 "Charmed & Dangerous") at the Kitchen Table (not to be confused with the Dining Room Table). Here are my findings:
Grand Total: 49 Episodes
1. S1E3 "Thank You for Not Morphing" 2. S1E4 "Dead Man Dating" 3. S1E5 "Dream Sorcerer" 4. S1E8 "The Truth is Out There...and it Hurts" 5. S1E12 "The Wendigo" 6. S1E19 "Out of Sight" 7. S1E20 "The Power of Two" 8. S1E21 "Love Hurts" 9. S1E22 "Deja Vu, all Over, Again" Sub-Total: 9 Episodes
1. S2E1 "Witch Trial" 2. S2E3 "The Painted World" 3. S2E8 "P3 H20" 4. S2E11 "Reckless Abandon" 5. S2E19 "Ex Libris" 6. S2E20 "Astral Monkey" Sub-Total: 6 Episodes
1. S3E3 "Once Upon a Time" 2. S3E10 "We all Scream for Ice Cream" 3. S3E15 "Just Harried" 4. S3E17 "Prewitched" 5. S3E18 "Sin Francisco" 6. S3E20 "Exit Strategy" 7. S3E21 "Look who's Barking" Sub-Total: 7 Episodes
1. S4E4 "Enter the Demon" 2. S4E6 "A Knight to Remember" 3. S4E8 "Black as Cole" 4. S4E9 "Muse to My Ears" 5. S4E11 "Trial by Magic" 6. S4E14 "The Three Faces of Phoebe" 7. S4E16 "The Fifth Halliwheel" 8. S4E17 "Saving Private Leo" 9. S4E19 "We're off to See the Wizard" 10. S4E20 "Long Live the Queen" 11. S4E21 "Womb Raider" Sub-Total: 11 Episodes
1. S5E2 "A Witch's Tail, Pt 2" 2. S5E4 "Siren's Song" 3. S5E5 "Witches in Tights" 4. S5E8 "Witch in Time" 5. S5E9 "Sam I am" 6. S5E19 "Nymphs Just Wanna Have Fun" Sub-Total: 6 Episodes
1. S6E7 "Soul Survivor" 2. S6E17 "Hyde School Reunion" 3. S6E18 "Spin City" Sub-Total: 3 Episodes
1. S7E4 "Charrrmed!" 2. S7E7 "Someone to Witch Over Me" Sub-Total: 2 Episodes
1. S8E3 "Run, Piper, Run" 2. S8E6 "Kill Billie: Vol I" 3. S8E7 "The Lost Picture Show" 4. S8E9 "Hulkus Pocus" 5. S8E11 "Mr. & Mrs. Witch" Sub-Total: 5 Episodes

A bathroom doesn't necessarily include a shower, it could just be a toilet only (some houses typically have a separate toilet from the main bathroom with shower etc.). But I digress.
Obviously the simple answer is the writers just couldn't make their mind up on how many bathrooms the manor had like the bedrooms. But if we never saw the inside of the "downstairs bathroom" it doesn't exist.

We never saw this apparent "downstairs bathroom". In my house we have two upstairs bathrooms, one in the main bedroom with a private bathroom and another down the hall.
We have a half-bath/powder room downstairs with just a toilet and a sink, no bath or shower. But I don't know if the Halliwell manor had that, since I can't recall and don't think we ever saw the downstairs bathroom at all.
I only remember it being mentioned in Dead Man Dating and Which Prue Is It Anyway. Maybe Clone Prue was just washing her face or brushing her teeth downstairs in a sink (doesn't mean she was in a bathroom, I mean it could've been the laundry room sink and Phoebe just said downstairs bathroom, rather than in the laundry room sink). LOL
The sisters getting ready for work in "The Fifth Halliwheel" was likely the upstairs bathroom. But I'd need a side by side with the bathroom seen in Wedding From Hell. I do believe its the same upstairs bathroom for both.
I'm just curious if it was just a powder room/toilet and sink only room. It's an interesting question to get more insight into the bathooms and what they looked like episode to episode.

I don't think the so called "downstairs bathroom" was eve mentioned again after S1. Good point. I'll have to fact check that, at a later point, but I hypothesis the same as you LOL But it depends on your definition of a "bathroom". A bathroom doesn't necessarily include a shower, it could just be a toilet only (some houses typically have a separate toilet from the main bathroom with shower etc.). But I digress. True, and I'll agree a "bathroom" is still just a toilet (and maybe a sink with a it). As S1E4 "Dead Man Dating" showed, it's clear (especially for me) the "downstairs bathroom" included (at least) a shower ('cause not all bathrooms have a bath tub included in their showers & not all bath tubs include showers). As Prue was just in a bath towel, when she left said "downstairs bathroom", when the four of them (Prue, Phoebe, Piper & Ghost Mark) were all talking "downstairs", but I digress. Obviously the simple answer is the writers just couldn't make their mind up on how many bathrooms the manor had like the bedrooms. I'll even say the writers were unsure of how many bedrooms there were, as well. Because after Phoebe & Paige "move back in" (Paige from Richard's & Phoebe from Hong Kong) in late S6, there's a magical fourth bedroom. I really thought Phoebe & Paige had shared a room, when they got back, but the dialogue doesn't say that. It isn't until S7, where I think Piper's children move back into her bedroom, again? IDK the show is SO bad with its continuity xD But if we never saw the inside of the "downstairs bathroom" it doesn't exist. The only time we see the "inside" (kind of) of the "downstairs bathroom" is in S1E4 "Dead Man Dating". That's the only time that I can think of LOL

As Prue was just in a bath towel, when she left said "downstairs bathroom", when the four of them (Prue, Phoebe, Piper & Ghost Mark) were all talking "downstairs", but I digress. Ah, thanks for confirming that. So it DID have at least a shower. Your right not all bathrooms have a bath tub in them and vice versa. I'll even say the writers were unsure of how many bedrooms there were, as well. Because after Phoebe & Paige "move back in" (Paige from Richard's & Phoebe from Hong Kong) in late S6, there's a magical fourth bedroom. IDK the show is SO bad with its continuity xD Yeah this bedroom debate really confuses me. I kept thinking they always had four when living with Grams and that Piper and Phoebe had to share a room. But that hasn't been proven like you said the dialogue doesn't say that. Such bad continuity. But if we never saw the inside of the "downstairs bathroom" it doesn't exist. The only time we see the "inside" (kind of) of the "downstairs bathroom" is in S1E4 "Dead Man Dating". That's the only time that I can think of LOL Thanks!

greta , the show definitely showed 6 different iterations of bathrooms. Bathroom 1 - "Downstairs Bathroom" S1E4 "Dead Man Dating" - This is the only episode to showcase the "downstairs bathroom". It's the only bathroom with blue wallpaper/blue wall paint. The rest of the time we see the bathroom, it's pink wallpaper/wall paint. Bathroom 2 - Toilet is between the bathtub & shower S1E5 "Dream Sorcerer" S1E6 "The Wedding from Hell" S1E13 "From Fear to Eternity" S1E16 "Which Prue is it, Anyway?" - Don't see the inside, but I'm assuming it's the same layout. S1E21 "Love Hurts" Bathroom 3 - Toilet appears & disappears S2E15 "Give Me a Sign" - When, Phoebe is in the bathroom (writing a spell), the toilet is no longer between the bathtub & shower. It's next to the sink which wasn't there in S1. When, Bane is in the bathroom, the toilet is not there, at all. Bathroom 4 - The bathtub is now a shower S2E19 "Ex Libris" - This is the ONLY episode to showcase the bathtub as a functioning shower. The rest of the series ALWAYS uses it as JUST a bathtub via S1E5 "Dream Sorcerer" & S4E12 "Lost & Bound". Bathroom 5 - Toilet remains by the sink, bathtub is a bathtub & shower is a shower, consistent layout throughout the show. S2E5 "She's a Man, Baby, a Man!" - Hard to tell, but I'm going to assume it's in this layout. S2E18 "Chick Flick" - Piper called the bathtub a shower, but you can tell it's a bathtub. S3E1 "The Honeymoon's Over" S3E3 "Once Upon a Time" S3E17 "Prewitched" S4E12 "Lost & Bound" S4E14 "The Three Faces of Phoebe" S4E15 "Marry-Go-Round" S4E16 "The Fifth Halliwheel" S6E5 "Love's a Witch" S6E8 "Sword & the City" S6E10 "Chris-Crossed" S7E10 "Witchness Protection" - Added a mirror to one (there's two) of the entry points, into the bathroom. S7E17 "Scry Hard" S8E2 "Malice in Wonderland" S8E5 "Rewitched" Bathroom 6 - A toilet room, replacing one of the entry points, into the bathroom. S5E18 "Cat House" - Added a toilet room, replacing one of the entry points, into the bathroom, during the Piper & Leo memory lane, flashbacks.

Sounds to me Bathroom 6 was created for the sake of Piper & Leo's memory so that Phoebe and Paige could listen. Like they couldn't listen via the door to the bathroom unless they risk being caught by Prue but no idea where her or Phoebe at the time are meant to be.

And, S6E17 "Hyde School Reunion" is the closest to "seeing it" (at least, the door, anyway). I don't recall any of the other bedrooms having a bathroom especially when Piper's bedroom used to be Prue's (according to S3E17 "Prewitched", anyway) xD

The endless new bathrooms and changes, LOL maybe its a side effect of how many times they time traveled over the series. They inadvertently changed the manor when they came back so something changed.

LOL you may have nailed the in-universe explanation for why the bathrooms keep changing. But seriously, I haven't made my mind up which one I prefer out of all the ones they had on the series.
I'd probably be biased since the one in Cat House is actually how my childhood home was designed sorta. A one house bathroom with a shower, bathtub and toilet, and a separate toilet on its own behind the laundry room. So technically two bathrooms if you will since the separate toilet has a sink and mirror. For me personally, having two showers/bathtubs in a household isn't a real necessity to me, I think having two toilets and a sink is more. Unless a household all desperately need to bath and or shower at the same time. My dad would laugh at anyone who complains about a one bathroom household, when he had to share with his five siblings and two parents. I digress.
I wonder if when the Manor started being overcrowded once Piper's kids were born, they decided to install another bathroom into Piper's bedroom.

Leo did install a window in Piper's closet and turned it into a nursery, so maybe he turned one of her other closets into a bathroom? xD 'Cause the Nursery Closet was S5E1 "A Witch's Tail, Pt 1", perhaps off-screen (and off-script) he miraculously turned the other closet into a bathroom between S5E1 "A Witch's Tail, Pt 1" - S5E15 "The Day That Magic Died" xD

What I'd give to have seen a set tour video of the manor. Something interesting is they shot the pilot in the real manor. So everything never matches up from the set versus the real house.
The interior of the house is different compared to what we're used to seeing, from the aired series.
I've never really paid attention to the differences between the unaired pilot and Something Wicca into how different the two manors very closely or studied them in detail. But it would be fun.
LOL, I'd like to think if they had been able to use the real house for the series, the manor probably would have been less collateral damage they could smash. Unless the owners of the house got paid a million dollars for any damages. I get the feeling that is why they opted to create a set that they can destroy as needed for the plotlines.

What I'd give to have seen a set tour video of the manor. Something interesting is they shot the pilot in the real manor. So everything never matches up from the set versus the real house. The interior of the house is different compared to what we're used to seeing, from the aired series. I gather a set needs more room for the many crew members. Hard to shoot in a kitchen if they need crew inside. Like 50 people won't cut it. More practical. I need to watch the unaired pilot again to see the real manor again. Aaeiyn will this eventually become a project in the future to note the differences. 😆

Moving this conversation from the Create a "Happy Holidays"/Christmas Charmed Marathon thread to over here: Thankfully, the fireplace remained consistent (despite certain prop pieces moving around). That being said, the Conservatory Table DOES change, and that's probably why we no longer see them eating there after S5E8 "Witch in Time". I'm not at my computer, right now, but I'll figure out when exactly it changed, but I am hypothesizing S6. I need time to double check, when the change ACTUALLY occurs. OK after careful inspection, the last time we see the old Conservatory Table is in S6E6 "My Three Witches". HOWEVER, we see the original Conservatory Chairs (and the top of the original Conservatory Table) in S6E8 "Sword & the City". I'm assuming (off-script and my own fanon) because Paige broke the original Conservatory Table in S6E8 "Sword & the City" because she couldn't TK-Orb the Sword & the Stone, that it broke the original Conservatory Table because in S6E9 "Little Monsters" the Conservatory Table is the new one and remains "the new one" until the end of the show via S8E22 "Forever Charmed". I guess S6E8 "Sword & the City" is the excuse episode for why they switched out the Conservatory Table xD This is the original Conservatory Table seen from S1E1 "Something Wicca This Way Comes" to S6E8 "Sword & the City": This particular screenshot is from S1E17 "That 70s Episode"New Conservatory Table seen from S6E9 "Little Monsters" to S8E22 "Forever Charmed": This particular screenshot is from S8E18 "The Torn Identity"

I haven't studied it extensively. I HAVE noticed SOME of the differences. Like I actually prefer the unaired pilot's kitchen over the aired one. IKR? xD

The aired version of the house felt too modern, whereas the unaired pilot really sets the tone for "grandma's house".
