Original Charmed 1x1 "Something Wicca This Way Comes" REACTION/REWATCH
Came across two Gen Z/Zoomer Reaction/Rewatch and I've watched this ep a million times, but never really understood who and what was responsible for the sisters to
a) come together &
b) for them to be led to the Book of Shadows etc.
In the first episode
0) After spending time in NY and seeing her Dad, Phoebe becomes broke and comes back home - nothing magical here right? And Prue and Piper move into the manor because its too expensive to pay rent on their place plus
1) Someone pushes the pointer on the spirit board Grams or Melinda Warren? (and how?)
2) Lightening strikes the house and cuts the power This is a coincidence with the storm and the timing of the moon etc.
3) Prue's instinct is the basement Grams would have raised her to be practical
4) Piper's is to wait for the repairman/electrician to come That's what younger Piper would have done, and then called Leo to be the handyman!
5) Phoebe heads to the attic (dodges the basement too!!!) This is what Connie (The Writer & Creator) would have done if she was in the situation? Maybe she was also scared of the basement
6) The attic door unlocks by itself? That must be grams?
7) The light shines down through the stained glass windows (Is there some sort of eclipse or the Full Moons shining form the Heavens?)
8) The light shines through the chandelier into the parlor/living room (All this light and placement reminds me of the Nexus and the situation where the house is built by their ancestors)
9) The Enchanted Photo brings Piper and Phoebe closer to Prue This must have been grams enchanting the Camera of Photo offscreen in PreWitched?
10) Before this Phoebe opens the first page of the Book of Shadows to the incantation Why did she read it aloud? Phoebe really should have had her first premonition from touching the book right?
11) Prue and Piper come up the stairs and stand next to the BOS with Phoebe and at some point have all touched it? This is different to the handshake between Piper and Paige in 4x01 but they eventually all are next to or touch the Book of Shadows
12) Lastly Jeremy must have seen the chandelier and the lights from outside before the scene ends and therefore known that they had received their powers. Do you think the Elders feel the Charmed Ones incantation being read and magically invoked by Phoebe and them all being together? Would Leo have seen/known ? ( By the way... where is he?... just watching? and he would have known about Jeremey right?)
13) Do you think Paige would somehow have felt or sensed something?
14 )Also the women killed in the beginning was one of many witches who had the triquetra symbol. You think they would have known about the Charmed prophecy as practitioners or were they related to the Charmed Ones? Like Grams's mates reciting spells?
15) What would the Sources/ the Triads/ Other demons reaction be to the news?
Is an interesting series of events. What are your thoughts?
