I could see it 100%. Mainly because of the fact that Jeremy did have her power plus timing matches up. However I had always thought she had died of an illness because of the fact that Max dad had said he didn’t find out they were witches until right before she died so I had kinda thought she knew she was gonna die. Overall I feel like this theory has a very high probability.
Damn I love these theories but they be switching my whole outlook on the show and life lol.

It's possible, though to fit with the murders there would be a specific required - she'd need to have a triquetra tattoo.
Do they ever mention her cause of death? It's not an episode I rewatch a lot.
Replier #3 answered:
She might have had a triquetra tattoo as well, but being that this wasn’t the focus of that episode, it would have been irrelevant to note this.
And no, her family never mention her cause of death, and my guess would be due to how violent it was.

This would have been awesome! This show is just so crazy with how much it changes and all the abandoned plots etc.

It's an interesting idea, and the timelines do work out.
I think something quite important here is that the unaired pilot, the pilot and secrets and guys were all written by Constance M Burge.
Makes me wonder if this episode was supposed to build towards something bigger and the plan got scrapped. So I am leaning towards the idea she had a plan.

It's the constant tug of war between Constance Kern.
They're both writers on this episode, and we know why because Kern heavily forced Leo and whitelighters as a concept into the show. It wasn't part of Constance's plans or wishes at all.

Piggybacking off of a recent post of another user (who came up with a theory that Serena Fredrick was part of a triquetra coven who protected the Charmed Ones from afar...) it got me thinking and now I wonder whether Paulette Franklin was one of the witches Jeremy killed and i’ll give my reasons why:
One of Jeremy’s powers was similar to her’s: Psychokinesis. This could mean he stole it from her after killing her.
Since Serena was the last known witch Jeremy killed on the 7th of October 1998, that means the two previous witches he murdered died in the last weeks of September 1998 because they all died a week apart. This would mean Paulette died in the last two weeks of September 1998.
Max’s powers get activated about three months after her death (which would be in late November or early December 1998). He’s kidnapped six months later (after he’d mastered his power) which would be approximately sometime in late May or early June 1999, which all ties in with his mother dying around the time of season 1, episode 1.
