I have always wondered why Phoebe didn't use other methods when her gifts were taken away, such as Astrology, Tarot, Crystal Balls and Tea Leaves etc. I will never will understand why after she lost her powers she never decided to read into and practice other forms of divination to help her sisters out rather than complain about being useless to them, why not help them in another way?
I believe it would have been amazing to see Phoebe doing what she loved which was always magic, it would have brought back that spark she was missing in later seasons. Maybe she would have quit working at the newspaper as an advice columnist and opened up an Occult Shop (in my opinion, the perfect profession for Phoebe, maybe naming it after Prue).
Then after she regains her powers, Levitation is removed giving her the power of Psychic Reflection as presented in season 2 of the series, she gains this power due to working on her psychic powers rather than sitting there doing nothing, proving to the Elders she will always put her Destiny first and is always working towards her path.
I am not sure whether other people have these same thoughts, but it is always good to think about other paths the show could have gone down.

The psychic reflection Phoebe got in 'Morality Bites' was actually an extension of her empathy power not known then where she could overload a person's brain with their emotions which she felt and reflected back harming or killing them in the case of Cal Greene.
I definitely agree with the other ways Phoebe could've tried seeing the future after losing her powers involving Astrology, Tarot, Crystal Balls and Tea Leaves which would've been good character development for her and not made her useless or someone complaining all the time especially since Lydia Nicoli the gypsy showed her and Paige how to tea leaf with one of their cups obviously.
The mention of her owning an Occult shop has been said before as well as becoming a counsellor or working in a hospital with her psychology degree which would've been far better and more rewarding career choices than working as an advice columnist which I disliked then.

This made me realize why I love earlier seasons Phoebe. She had no active power and yes she complained but we saw her working hard to increase her self defense skills and magical knowledge and history in order to contribute. It was also disappointing not to see Paige do those things. Because she was supposed to be the one interested in all things magical now while her sisters trying to live normal lives.

Thank you for explaining that to me, I didn't even know it was supposed to be an extension of her Empathy power. I believe the person she was, being heavily into witchcraft probably would have chosen a career based on that, even if she brought the shop that was featured in the Eyes Have It, I always thought it would have brought fun Phoebe back.

I loved early series Phoebe, she is completely obsessed with Witchcraft and is overall a free spirit, who you could have related to, her working on her craft once her powers are stripped would have been amazing character development for her, even though I don't believe that the Elders should hold such power. I wish that Paige was a distant cousin rather than a half-sister, possibly the descendant of P. Bowen, meaning that she will get Telekinesis (since it is a Warren power) and her powers weren't bound as a child instead she grew up with them resulting in her powers advancing pass the sisters. She can still be an only child, the reason being that they were even lucky to have Paige due conceiving problems.

Thinking more about it, death of Prue, followed by deaths of Cole(and later insanity) and her baby, becoming Queen of underworld and previous death of Patty and abandonment by Victor could've really messed up Phoebe's love for magic, perhaps even life.
Maybe burying herself in writing which seemed pretty introverted for an extrovert like Phoebe and going baby crazy was her second attempt at running away from her life with sisters and starting new? Like she did in New York?
But the problem was it wasn't explored. Grief was treated as joke when Phoebe had tears in her eyes for Leo and Piper moment rather than seeing her dead sister again in the past in Cat House or when she suddenly began yodeling in the middle of seance by Olivia's family.

Grief was treated as joke when Phoebe had tears in her eyes for Leo and Piper moment rather than seeing her dead sister again in the past in Cat House or when she suddenly began yodeling in the middle of seance by Olivia's family. Actually all of that makes sense, she ran to New York after her grandmother's death, in my opinion to deal with the grieving process, she never had a relationship with her mother due to her death while Phoebe was a toddler resulting in both of her maternal figures dying, with her father abandoning her as a toddler, then when things don't work out as planned when she was in NY she moves back with the only items she left with having an unknown feud with her eldest sister, who within three years she built a good relationship with, then her father yet again abandons her as an adult, then her eldest sister dies, resulting in another family member been taken away from her. She's in a romantic relationship with a man who would do anything for her, it doesn't matter that he was a demon because to her it was the first mature relationship that she has experienced with a man who she truely loved, who then gets possessed by the Source, who she married believing that it is Cole, falling pregnant by him with a baby she would have loved deeply, then Cole dies by her hand which ends up with her being kidnapped and her baby being forced from her, then she loses the baby. I would have believed that she began to be disinterested with the whole 'saving the world' thing when her own life wasn't together, she always loved being a witch but didn't like the other aspects to it, which is perfectly normal, you don't have to love everything about your life, you only have to tolerate it long enough for the bigger picture to arrive, which in her case seems like a losing battle.
