This is great news dears. But are the extras new or just the old ones from the DVDs? Sounds like the three commentaries are the same ones from the S8 set which Kern did. *sigh*
But the exclusive interview mentioned makes me think THAT might be new. If so, I'm excited.

Does anyone know when this will come to North America? The HD remasters make the show look so good!
I wish they had them do some commentaries on the older episodes. I would love commentary with Connie and some of the other writers like Sheryl or Javier on Something Wicca this Way Comes or even AHBL.

Does anyone know when this will come to North America? The HD remasters make the show look so good! I wish they had them do some commentaries on the older episodes. I would love commentary with Connie and some of the other writers like Sheryl or Javier on Something Wicca this Way Comes or even AHBL. Nope. No date is revealed just yet dear. Hopefully soon a date is revealed. Me too. I'd absoutely love commentaries on the earlier seasons with all those earlier writers. I'm not interested in any of the ones done by Kern in Season 8. I also wish they had dailies/outtakes and deleted scenes on the sets too. But most of those have leaked online unless CBS took them done. That would be wonderful if they put all those on the sets. |

I have some of them on Blu Ray/HD already. I don't know if I'd want the whole series though. Unless, it's discounted cheap.
I do wonder if they have new extras?

I do hope it has new extras, I'll hope they find their way to Youtube. I don't know if I'd buy the whole series, and just want the seasons I like on Blu Ray.

I still haven't seen all the seasons yet for the first time. But that is quite interesting.
Did they contact the cast for new interviews?
Bit sad they seemed to have only gotten hold of one crew member named James L. Conway. Was everyone THAT unavailable during the pandemic, that they couldn't even record interviews over zoom, or did they ask for too much money to do it?
Maybe that could be why it is being delayed for release in North America, to give them time to record new interviews with the cast for the North American Blu ray complete series release?
I'll have to watch those extras, if I got this, once I finish the series, due to spoilers.

Just got my copy today. It's very nice! I'm halfway tempted to put it in my main BoS set. They really put a lot of care and thought into this that sadly CBS never would.
It does come with an exclusive new interview with a Charmed producer, here's a recap of his interview:
He doesnt know where the footage of the unaired pilot is? lol....well its on our dvd sets thats where it is.
Poor Holly, she really was the middle sister lol. It's always Shannen and Alyssa being the big names and drawing people in and Holly is essentially just on for the ride.
"Shannen was nice to almost everyday, she had script problems, always nice to the cast, she was the HEART AND SOUL OF CHARMED" That really says it all doesn't it? She viewed Charmed as her baby.
"Alyssa was always sweet, a pleasure to be around. She was the warmest and most welcoming"
"Shannen recommended Holly as Piper. Became very popular and got more fanmail than Shannen and Alyssa" Sounds about right.
"There was tension between some of the actors on set and left. Rose was a perfect replacement"
"With Rose there was more humor brought in, Paige was brought a lighter tone compared to Prue but there wasnt much difference in the show. There are fans of Shannen and fans of Rose. Would want to see all 4 do a reunion"
"It was never brought up to bring Shannen back"
"Aaron didnt want to see the tattoos, the actresses finally said they dont care and showed them"
"Aaron had a heart attack when Alyssa showed up in S3 or 4 (actually S6) with a pixie cut"
"his favorite episode is S6 or 7 was using green screen to put them back into past episodes (talking about Cat House that was in S5). Took 5 days to shoot as opposed to the normal 6 or 7"
"Enjoyed doing the big 2 part episodes, where they put majority of their budget"
"Contracts were up in S6, they signed up for 2 more. Holly would've stayed but Alyssa/Rose were done. If they got picked up past S8 they wouldve written around just Holly and have Alyssa/Rose guest star"
Interesting interview. Nice to get something fresh. He clearly didnt remember a lot of things correctly and has some amnesia here or there (Shannen left to go direct more even though we know she was fired)
