Paige and Henry easily could've been engaged in season 8 and then either shown to have got married in the comics or had their wedding as part of the flash forward at the end. Hi Melinda. Is there really a comic? I might actually consider reading it... P.S. Despite the quality of the show nosediving in the final seasons I'm sad now that I'm reaching the end of Charmed. I started watching the show in its complete order in either March or April and I only have about 5 episodes left!  As much as i badmouth the final seasons I sorta wish there was a season 9 to look forward to. |

I'm not melindahalliwell, but, yes, there really is a comic that did both S9 and S10. Unfortunately it means you had to have ALL THOSE KIDS which took away a lot from me. I *really* loved S9, especially because it was written by my favorite Charmed novel writer, Paul Ruditis (there's also a lot of Charmed novels...) while HATING what a different writer did with S10, although a lot of fans liked that one, too - just not a lot of us here.

I really recommend the S9 comics. There are sites online you can read them for free, unless you want your own copy, you can buy the trade paperbacks in four volumes I think online. There are also two ebooks set between S9 and S10 of the comics, and those two are fantastic.
But you might enjoy S10, even though I didn't. I know many did, but like Es said, not too many here liked it.

Thanks Esmeralda and Prudence! I will probably give the comics a try.
My greatest hope would be a Charmed reunion or TV movie which addresses all the characters. I have a feeling Shannen Doherty is going to beat her Cancer and live long enough to hopefully take part in it, too. Although I wouldn't hold my breath on Rose McGowan and Alyssa Milano being part of the same project. Still, as long as Piper, Prue and Phoebe are involved i would definitely watch.

Coop stinks. I liked Henry, but he seems to have disappeared the moment he wed Paige. In fact, now that i think about it Paige always seemed to have the best relationships on the show outside of Prue and Andy. I know they were trying to make Coop a hopeless romantic type but he just comes across as a creepy stalker. I liked Cole but I think his relationship with Phoebe was portrayed in an awful manner. Leslie was silly, Dex was forgettable, Jason was way too perfect, etc. Just seems like the writers of the show were never able to give Phoebe a compelling romantic storyline that didn't ended in misery and tragedy. I'm actually thinking of the taking the plunge and watching the new Charmed in part so I can see if the new writers improved on this aspect of the show.

Paige always seemed to have the best relationships on the show I totally agree! I'm going to add in my perspective in what I don't like about S8, and it's really only one thing, and it's: How selfish the sisters were, for most of the season. Which is why I like Billie because Billie would sacrifice herself to protect the world, along with putting the sisters in their place about how much they've abandoned/neglected their Charmed duties. I guess I'll go ahead and agree with the obvious elephant in the room which is not having Prue around, in the finale. There were many people besides her that I wanted to see in the finale, as well, but it is what is. |

The sisters were selfish in the final season yes which would've made a great plot twist if it turned out they became the ultimate evil because of their actions obviously with Billie and Christy being the ultimate innocents instead. Oh, what fun that might've been to see watch play out then.

The sisters were selfish in the final season yes which would've made a great plot twist if it turned out they became the ultimate evil because of their actions obviously with Billie and Christy being the ultimate innocents instead. Oh, what fun that might've been to see watch play out then. Heh, IDC too much for Christy, but I do like Billie. IK not many like Billie, but I do. And, I have no issues already proclaiming her as an innocent. |
