When the sisters were turned into Goddess' has anyone else had the thought of Phoebe being turned into Medusa rather than the Goddess Of Love?
I have recently thought that Phoebe should have been turned into Medusa rather than being the Goddess Of Love. Medusa was an extremely loyal priestess to Athena when Poseidon raped her in Athena's temple (and the version I believe) to which Athena, who wanted to protect her turned her into a "monster" to deter any man from hurting her again.
If the Charmed had continued down it's gothic-esque vibe, that is something I would have loved to see or without it being a darker series, it still would have been amazing, Leo could have wanted to protect her from ever having to suffer from another heartbreak and would have decided turned her into something that would do so.
I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on this.

I like this idea. It keeps things darker, as you said, and makes perfect sense considering where Phoebe was at the time emotionally with men. It reminds me a bit of the banshee episode which was also very dark and was sort of the same idea, that she transformed into something that was dark and scary and that would protect her.
I could also see her taking Paige's position as the goddess of war due to Phoebe being the main fighter of the group.

It reminds me a bit of the banshee episode which was also very dark and was sort of the same idea, that she transformed into something that was dark and scary and that would protect her. I could also see her taking Paige's position as the goddess of war due to Phoebe being the main fighter of the group. I am so happy that you like my idea. They had dumbed her character down quite a bit at this point, but if she were more like her season 4 self, something associated with inspiration and creativity, kind of like a muse more than a goddess. Maybe none of the sisters could be the goddess of anything in particular, but all have traits of several figures from mythology. Honestly, I feel like they had dumbed down everyone's character somewhat by Season 5, and especially by Season 8. Phoebe and Paige both came across as vapid and dependent on Leo for pep talks, and Paige had a hard time organizing the Magic School schedules in one episode. In Season 8, everyone was more concerned with leading a normal life and not dealing with demons and stuff. In Season 5, Phoebe was more concerned with manicures, facials, and looking hot/pretty than helping innocents; you can definitely see it in the mermaid episodes and Y Tu Mummy Tambien. |

Instead of Phoebe being the goddess of love (Aphrodite) I would've had her as Artemis the goddess of the hunt because Piper was Demeter the goddess of the Earth who kept the sisters in check whilst Paige (Athena) was the warrior goddess who strategized how they would defeat the Titans then whilst Artemis using her hunting skills would locate them fitting in tandem with the other two obviously.
