Odd vs Even Numbered Seasons of Charmed?

Which do you prefer more the odd or even numbered seasons of Charmed?

Going in pairs as the seasons aired, I like:

1 over 2

3 and 4 the same amount

5 over 6

7 over 8

So mostly odd numbered seasons with the exception of 4. That said, I still like season 2 more than anything in the last half.

3>4

Went with odds. I sure don't enjoy the even seasons as much as the odds (apart from S2).

I put more thought into this question than I expected 

Seasons 1 - 4 are all good. I was a little torn having to choose between them so it came down to the seasons I don't want to watch.

I don't enjoy S5 but if I have to sit through the entire season, I'd rather watch that than seasons 6 AND 8 together.

S7 never did much for me. There's the Avatar storyline (ugh, there's so much Leo in the later seasons) but also the Zankou storyline. The ending feels like an ending to the show not just the season. Which means...

If you only watch the odd number seasons, you get the actual beginning and a satisfying ending, with some unfortunate garbage in the middle.

If you only watch the even number seasons, you're thrown into grief over Andy (who?) and a god awful love triangle. Then Prue's gone after just one season and Cole is the center of the universe even though you haven't seen him before. Then Wyatt appears out of nowhere (and is the new center of the universe). Then the sisters are living under assumed identities for reasons you missed. And then you get a sickly sweet ending. No, thank you.

Edit: You also get Billie and Christie in S8. Enough said.

I love season 2, but to me, it's the least necessary out of the first half of the show. If season 1 ended and season 3 began with "one year later," it would be the least jarring. You can't skip the very beginning, as season 1 sets everything up and answers so many questions. Then Piper and Leo get married in season 3 and Cole becomes a prominent character. Plus it sets the stage for Prue dying at the end. Season 4 wraps up the season 3 cliffhanger and introduces Paige while also ending on a high note of Witch Way Now. 

So season 1 is the setup and growth and season 3 shows them still growing, but in a far more comfortable position with their powers. I could also see this type of jump working between seasons 5 and 7, but not between seasons 3 and 5. 

If we disregarded the actual seasons and just picked half the episodes to mesh together into one show, we could weed out a lot of stories that were disliked or went nowhere and end up with something of really high quality. That's part of the reason why mini series are my new favorite way to watch something. They're usually too short for filler episodes just to take up space, yet they're also longer and more paced out than a movie. Charmed as a mini series could have been great.

I think the odd seasons far outweigh the even for me.

4 is my favourite season, but 6 and 8 are very weak. 2 is great and many folks love this season the best. But 3 and 7 are both very strong in my eyes - also 1 and 5 are much better than 6 and 8.

Though, I still enjoy S6 and S8, I often find myself watching a lot of (Odd) S1, S3, S5 and S7. I still really enjoy S6, though.
