Speaking of scary makes me think Halloween.
Is anyone else going to watch 'All Halliwell's Eve' tonight? I will, as I do every year since I got the S3 DVD when it first came out.
I think I'll watch it after tonight's re-watch of HHNF - get the taste of what I count as a horrible episode out of my mouth.

S1E19 Out of Sight, the first time I watched it. I didn't go into details on why, but I'm sensitive about my eyes. I won't do colored contacts. Heck, I won't even do eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, etc. That's how sensitive I am about my eyes. That being said, when the Grimlocks stole the kid's eyesight, freaked me out.
S2E4 The Devil's Music, Masselin is scary and freaky. When we see its victims, in its stomach? Ew.
Three episides I feel like are halloween-ish but not scary are S3E4 All Halliwell's Eve, S8E6 Kill Billie Vol I and then S2E18 Chick Flick.
S3E4 and S8E6 are "Halloween" episodes, with S2E18 being a parody of horror movies.
EDIT: S4E5 Size Matters is (also) creepy.
EDIT 2: S5E14 Sand Francisco Dreamin' can be somewhat "Halloween-ish", dealing with "nightmares", in a way, at least for Phoebe, anyway. Especially since her dream was supposed to represent Jason, from Friday the 13th.

I missed out on the S1-S3 re-watch, and getting a chance to watch this one, would be such a great Halloween treat, after HHNF, an episode, I just know I'm not going to like.

Es and Emmett – I don’t hate Hell Hath No Fury, but I will be watching All Halliwell’s Eve to celebrate Halloween! Just a Charmed marathon in general of some of the scary/Halloween-ish themed episodes, because, what’s a better way to celebrate the holiday than with our lovely Halliwell-Matthews sisters? 😊 It's also Dream Sorcerer for me. The first time I watched this episode was last year (since I found Charmed last year). I’m in my late twenties, and this episode still freaked me out. Like I’d said in my first post over the summer to this thread, I can’t imagine watching that when it was airing live. I was just too young, and it would have really scared me. I’d probably not watch Charmed again, thinking the whole show was going to be super dark and scary. But despite the episode freaking me out on my initial watch (and of course, I watched it late at night/early morning before going to bed, so great way to scare myself, ha!), I liked it, so I guess I'm weird lol. Especially since her dream was supposed to represent Jason, from Friday the 13th. Out Of Sight – Gotcha. I don’t even like putting contacts in my eyes. I have them, but I never wear them! I prefer glasses. I’m glad everyone gets their eyesight back at the end of this episode! The Devil’s Music – Yeah, this is gross. Masselin is pretty scary. This is not a favorite episode of mine. Probably one of my least favorites from Season 2. Just watched Kill Billie Vol I the other day on PopTV. Lol, Piper turning the news reporters into rats and then Paige being like, "You have to turn them back" and then Piper still not into this idea but Paige not letting her get away with it and then Piper saying, "You’re no fun." And then once she turns them back: "What are y’all waiting for? You’re trespassing. This is private property. What are you, crazy?" Oh, and then later, Paige telling her, "Piper, you cannot blow up the entire media." xD Chick Flick is so much fun. Piper being like, "I’m being stalked by psycho killers and I hide in the shower?" and then her being scared by Prue will never get old for me. Also, I would so be Piper in this situation ;P Size Matters – Paige in this one when they’re shrunk down and covered in clay: "Options? We have two: We’re screwed and we’re more screwed." xD How did I forget Sand Francicso Dreamin’? Yeah, it did represent Jason. I knew when Phoebe pulled away the mask she was going to see herself! Oh, and Slappy. Just no for me. Paige, get rid of that thing. I do not like clowns lol. (And yet I watched It. What’s wrong with me?) I guess we could add Ms. Hellfire to this list, as it was Friday the 13th. Not really Halloween-ish, but it’s the return of Barbas after their first go with him in From Fear to Eternity, and who doesn’t love Barbas?

I must have been 12 when I first saw it and I didn't find it that scary back then - but when I re-watched this year it scared me terribly. When he first murders Sky it's already terrible, and then you're about to realize he's going to do the same thing to Prue - terrifying. I also found it already terrifying when he called her at home. I think the reason I find it more scary now is that this episode deals with femicide and it feels so real.

Even though, I understand Magic School is the biggest continuity error, that aside S6E14 The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell was (also) trying to rip-off, I mean "pay homage to", the headless horseman story.

Bumping, for the newbies, for the "Halloween" spirit. Though, I'm sure they'll agree with what we've all said but still

I never come up with my own. These are mine: 1) The Wendigo 2) From Fear to Eternity 3) Is There a Woogy in the House 4) Chick Flick (scary and funny at the same time) 5) Size Matters
6) Bite Me 7) Death Becomes Them

I've been thinking about which ones are perfect for the scare factor. I've very likely missed a number of other good choices, but I went purely for scenes that are scary or creepy. I guess I could add All Halliwells Eve for being a Halloween episode but it didn't really have anything scary unless you count the sisters being hanged as scary or the Grimlocks. But the episode comes across as more suspenseful less scary and creepy.
I might update this list in time.
But here's my top 10:
1) Dream Sorcerer 2) The Wendigo 3) From Fear to Eternity 4) Is There a Woogy in the House 5) Out Of Sight 6) The Devil's Music 7) Size Matters 8) Bite Me 9) Sand Francisco Dreamin’ 10) Death Becomes Them
If the above are watched during Halloween month then I have to include: (for the sake of being Halloween episodes despite not being that scary at all) 11) All Halliwells Eve 12) Kill Billie Vol. 1

S1E5 "Dream Sorcerer" Rip-off, I mean "homage" to "Nightmare on Elm Street".
S1E13 "From Fear to Eternity" Whole episode is about our fears.
S1E19 "Out of Sight" The stealing of the children's eyes still freaks me out.
S2E4 "The Devil's Music" Masselin is freaky.
S2E6 "That Old Black Magic" The poor travelers being eaten alive by the snake.
S4E5 "Size Matters" Gamil is freaky.
Those are the ones that get me. Some more light-hearted "halloween-ish" type of episodes (other than S3E4 "All Halliwell's Eve" & S8E6 "Kill Billie Vol I") would be, IMO, the following:
S2E18 "Chick Flick" Parody of Horror Movies.
S5E14 "Sand Francisco Dreamin'" Their nightmares.
S6E14 "The Legend of Sleepy Halliwell" Knock off, I mean "homage" to the Headless Horseman.

Not scary. In the sense of horror jump scares. But now I do find Dream Sorcerer disturbing since I used to have sometimes sleep paralysis. Thank God i haven't had them for long time. Overall I never found any Charmed episodes/scenes etc scary in the horror style. Even when I first watched the show as young teenager on tv. I was to busy thinking that Cole was cool/badass. Sad? Yes. Now as adult I find many villains where I laugh at them. lol As an adult you also understand episode Murphy's Luck. And how it deals with mental health issues. And other episode that deal with loss of loved ones. ps: I mean I have to laugh at this. XD lol
