I respect that. I guess I was talking more in terms of a psychological standpoint when it came to Phoebe whose always been the baby and marrying Cole is just another responsibility.

Like I said, I still give this episode a pass, but it did feel weirdly out of place, from what I'm used to seeing, from the show (most importantly, how Phoebe behaves, normally). This episode was just a weird turn, and it only got worse from here. |

For me, her downfall was Marry Go Round. I've never seen Phoebe be the type to care about a Cinderella wedding.

For me, her downfall was Marry Go Round. I've never seen Phoebe be the type to care about a Cinderella wedding. Yes, and that felt more like Piper's dream than Phoebe's. It's funny that Piper ended up the only one without a traditional wedding and only invited just family. LOL I'm still surprised about that. I guess they did that so they could be able to do the plotline with Patty appearing at her wedding. |

It still feels like Piper's dream to have a Cinderella wedding than Phoebe, or Prue or Paige. |

Just rewatching this episode....would you say that future Phoebe proves that she/Coop dont work out or that even though she loves Coop, he isnt the love of her life? And Phoebe essentially dies at this point in her future....thanks to her past self. Seems rather poetic.

Just rewatching this episode....would you say that future Phoebe proves that she/Coop dont work out or that even though she loves Coop, he isnt the love of her life? And Phoebe essentially dies at this point in her future....thanks to her past self. Seems rather poetic. I do like how Phoebe has fallen for both a demon and a cupid, as I think it represents the capacity of her heart (at least S1-S4a, that is). That being said, S4b-S8 Phoebe belongs with Jason Dean and not Coop. Unless, we're dealing with S1-S4a Phoebe, I think both Cole and/or Coop work, for her. Then again, I do believe in multiple soulmates rather than just the one and only. And, soulmate doesn't always mean "lover", either. It can mean a friend, too. |

New here so I know this thread is old. Don’t know if anyone is still paying attention. But I’ve always thought the exact same thing. She wakes up one day with a new haircut and a new personality. Or rather, less personality. All attitude and no charisma. Well, almost. She’s kind of ok in that episode, not full on selfish diva. But the free-spirit sense of fun is gone, never to return.

New here so I know this thread is old. Don’t know if anyone is still paying attention. But I’ve always thought the exact same thing. She wakes up one day with a new haircut and a new personality. Or rather, less personality. All attitude and no charisma. Well, almost. She’s kind of ok in that episode, not full on selfish diva. But the free-spirit sense of fun is gone, never to return. The thread is old, yes, but I've since changed my mind, and Phoebe is my favorite from S1-S8. I like Paige, too. EDIT: Not to say I don't understand the opposition because I do. I was once there. |
