Does anyone know how old Paige was alone for? She seemed pretty young when her adoptive parents died - has she been alone since then? What was her life like before she met the sisters? She mentioned having drinking problems and a lot of other ones.

I think she was 17 when her adopted parents died. If she was born in 1977, that made her 24 when we first met her.
So about seven years.
She mentioned an aunt and uncle, so she must have lived with them after they died at 17 I'm guessing?

My god, seven years, poor girl since at 17, she's not even legally an adult yet. I've been rewatching and I just realised how much of a facade she puts on even though she's just scared on the inside.

I agree, my heart goes out to people who lose a parent let alone two at such a young age. My heart breaks for her. I wished the show did more with Paige and her family. They kinda forgot they existed after S4, along with her adopted aunt and uncle. I wanted more insight into her childhood and growing up before she met her sisters.

Yeah, me too. Like what were her aunt and uncle? How long did she stay with them? She was also a troubled child so how long would they have put up with that?

I agree I think Paige was 17 when her adopted parents died which would be hard for anyone to have to go through.
My own father passed when I was 15 but I had my mum and sister as well of course so I wasn't alone like Paige.
Naturally, that contributed to her drinking including her rebellious stage as seen in "Paige From The Past" along with the smoking.
We do know she had her aunt Julie and Uncle Dave who took her in after that perhaps?
And I'm assuming she went to college to study being a social worker and got the job as an assistant at South Bay Social Services afterwards then before meeting Piper and Phoebe?

As someone who is adopted myself, I always related to Paige on that front especially because I'm also super close to my adoptive parent too but yeah 17 is a tough age to go through that. She does seem fond of her aunt and uncle though so I assume they were good to her?

I'm very happy that you had Paige to relate too being adopted yourself. 17 is very tough for someone to lose both their parents.
I'm sure they were, Paige seemed close to them still in Charmed Again Part 2. I'm very upset they were never mentioned again (but typical of Brad Kern to forget anything that had to do with Paige's life before meeting her sisters). I hated that they spend more time with her relationship with Sam and Patty, when she didn't even know them, yet we could have meet her aunt and uncle at least once during season 4, and then brought them back twice in S8 to be at Paige's apparent funeral when they faked their deaths and her wedding.
I feel they should have done a bit more with Paige's adopted family and really let us know more.

With how much she wanted to find her birth family in Charmed Again, it might have made more sense for her to have been in foster homes after her parents died, until she went to college. She seemed close to her aunt and uncle, yet never mentioned them again. I could understand wanting to find her birth family even if she has adoptive relatives she's still close to, but the Charmed Again vibe was someone who had no family whatsoever and was kind of desperate for a connection.

Yeah, Charmed Again gave me that vibe too, maybe they weren't that great to her and she covered it up.

That could be it. I got the sense she too might have been in foster care after her adopted family died.
I too wished they did a bit more with her adopted family and didn't just make it like all of them were forgotten. I can't recall times she even mentioned her adopted parents, maybe once after S4.

Do you guys think Paige could have been abused in foster care? I was a child who was abused by my biological parent as opposed to my adoptive one and want to write out my emotions that way through Paige.

I personally don't think so, only because if I'm not mistaken, Paige was around 17 when her parents died. She may have either stayed with family, or lived alone until she went to college.

Yeah, Paige had Aunt Julie and Uncle Dave whom she talked to at the start of "Charmed Again Part 2" on the telephone at South Bay Social Services. Perhaps she stayed with them or an unknown Grandmother after her adopted parent's death till she went to college to become a social worker and moved into the loft we saw her in a little while of course.

It seems like if she had been in foster care, it would have been mentioned. I think we were just supposed to assume that she lived with relatives for the short time between her parents' deaths and college.
