Sorry if this has been done before but... Something has been bothering me ever since the episodes aired so think back. WAY before Phoebe and Coop become a thing or he even came into her life there WAS another Cupid whose name ironically was Cupid and the whole 'closed heart' issue was done then too. (If you don't remember, look up the episode 'heartbreak city' Se Ep 10) Fans have even been in debates that Coop's name was actually Cupid and if we go back to the episode when they first met (and my memory serves me) he even stated he WAS a Cupid and that she could call him Coop. The whole name of the role being up in the air. Now my question/point is. Did the writers forget this storyline and do it again or was it intentional?
I can believe that Phoebe could have closed off her heart again after everything she had been through up to that point but it still seemed a little strange to me when they made references to other whitelighters, witches, demons etc but no other Cupid's.
Thoughts?

Often long-running series do tend to forget certain things. Charmed for the most part has been really good about that - like teaching the sisters lessons whenever they go astray. My Three Witches was another good example of that and made me like Chris more than I previously did. They definitely learned their lesson by the end and you can see Chris's softness towards Piper at the end of it. The Cupid thing I think was intentional. Phoebe opened her heart to Cole after the first time Cupid encouraged her but he broke and shattered it into a thousand pieces so she closed it back up again. She was starting to open her heart again to Jason but when her being a witch came into play, he couldn't handle it. Phoebe didn't fall in love again after that until Drake. In Heartbreak City, Cupid was bringing up the fact that Phoebe had a lot of boyfriends in school and she went back to those methods after losing Cole, Jason, Drake. So she closed her heart off despite continuing to go onto further relationships.

It wasn't so much the fact that Phoebe closed her heart off again, that I get and like I said I don't blame her after everything that happened. It's more the fact that they completely seemed to forget that she had been through it before and that a Cupid had helped her before Coop. They could have written in something refereeing back like "you've/ you're doing it again, closing your heart to love" Or "Oh great, another Cupid." even. Me I still think it was something that the writers seemed to forget along with French Stewart as a/the geni before they wrote Jinny though at least there they did make reference to geni's being trouble, it being a slight call back to the fact they had been through it before.
