I've mentioned this on the Charmed Subreddit, before, but I wanted to see what the Charmed Cafe thinks! IMO, S2 of Charmed feels like a never-ending summer, and the atmosphere just looks really hot! Between being outside, in the hot sun, the light, bright & flowy clothes they wear or their hair stylized in a way, to allow the wind, to run through their head, it just feels like a never-ending summer. Lemme show some pics and maybe you'll see what I see LOL S2E1 "Witch Trial"S2E2 "Morality Bites"S2E5 "She's a Man, Baby, a Man!"S2E7 "They're Everywhere"S2E8 "P3 H20"S2E11 "Reckless Abandon"S2E16 "Murphy's Luck"S2E17 "How to Make a Quilt Out of Americans"

Yeah I can definitely agree with that. I dont know what it was about that season but they all were always really tanned compared to other seasonsand the clothes overall were just more fun. They must've had really good weather throughout that year.

The show filmed in California, so the weather would always be very good most of the time. But more so during 1999-2000. I guess they didn't want to put the actresses in winter clothes to match what it should be, and just whatever the weather was in LA during filming.
But it really must have been that period, since S1 filmed pretty much the same time as S2 would've. And S1 starts very wet and looked cold for those early episodes.
Could've been the filming and style they wanted for S2. More brighter and the sisters dressed more in bright colors compared to the darker gothic look they had in S1.

It's funny, I hadn't thought of that, but it's true! Season 6 kinda does that to me too. Unlike season 1 and 3 seem colder. We don't feel summer but fall/winter/spring

If you assume that season 1 is in the cooler months with season 2 in the warmer months, it makes this enjoyable.

It really has that vibe. P3 H20 is set during a camp that the kids are going to. Again feels like summer camp. If they didn't mention Halloween happening a week or two prior to They're Everywhere, I'd think S2 did really start in the summer. According to the show, only a month of time passed since Andy died. If we're assuming S1 ends sometime in May. Then S2 really could've been the middle of summer.
S6 also gives me that vibe. S6 even opens with a Beach Bash that Phoebe attends. So it's clearly summer.

I really enjoy rewatching and getting vibes of different times of the year in each season. It makes me wish even more that they had actually filmed on location in San Francisco to capture some of that flavor as well.

If Charmed wasn't a WB show and aired on one of the bigger networks, they may have had a bigger budget to film in San Francisco.

San Francisco has such a distinct feel to it. I watched another show once that was shot in New Orleans, and it added so much to it. When it's done right, the background of scenes and placement of things can really make a show or movie better.

It's distracting noticing LA in the background of Charmed episodes. It can take you out of the show for a split second.

Until I discovered later on that wasn't true. When I took a trip to LA and visited all the sights about six or seven years ago, and then re-watch Charmed, now I can't not see LA in the background, especially the more touristy sights. One day I got to visit San Francisco, for Charmed love at least.
