It sort of took me back a bit that it has been 20 years since the Power of Three was reconstituted and that Charmed had changed forever with the death of Prue and departure of Shannen Doherty.
I can't believe 20 years has passed since then!
It remains as one of my favourite and most memorable episodes because of the shock, emotion, denial and loss of such an influential character in my growing up as a teenager.
Roughly the actors ages were:
Holly Marie Combs & Rose McGowan were 28, Alyssa Milano 29 and Shannen Doherty 30
Brian Krause was 32, Julian McMahon 33 and Dorian Gregory 30.
Their ages are similar to how old Charmed Fans who watched then - are now between 25 - 35 years old.
September 11 had just shocked the world and also changed it forever.
Charmed was a huge escapism mechanism I had used and by this point at about 13 years old.
Looking back, Charmed and how it unfolded in later years taught me that life really depends on how you harness opportunities and set backs and that also, sometimes, good things don't last forever!
We can see that by how the characters and show looked completely different from this point onward but also how since them, all 4 actresses have had their fair share of ups and downs in their careers, romantic relationships and with each other.
As I reflect on Charmed at this point, yes there are disappointments but on the whole I am grateful for this show existing.
Here is to one of my most favourite and memorable episodes - Charmed Again!

It's so strange to think it's been so long. I can connect so well with the time when I was younger that I sometimes feel like I'm in the future, and the 20-year anniversary of things like this is yet to come. Each time I watch an episode of Charmed from season 3 or 4, it feels like the present day to me.
And as much as I would change about the show, I too am grateful for it existing. It's gotten me through so much and has been such an escape over the years. Even if there are parts of it I don't like in the later years, I couldn't have come up with the concept of this show by myself. It has provided a real inspiration to me to use my imagination even into adulthood.
I'm really looking forward to starting the rewatch of season 4 soon.

Thanks for sharing that video, I've never seen the HD version before. I know some of our rewatchers have the HD versions or Blu-Ray.

what is the rewatch? season 4 in full? i am interested too. I finished season 3 a few months ago and in my head the series ended like this. However, there are a few episodes that I really like “Hell Has No Fury” and I'm considering season 4-8 “in a parallel world. Keep me posted when you do, I'm excited.

what is the rewatch? season 4 in full? i am interested too. I finished season 3 a few months ago and in my head the series ended like this. However, there are a few episodes that I really like “Hell Has No Fury” and I'm considering season 4-8 “in a parallel world. Keep me posted when you do, I'm excited. Sounds cool. Yeah I watch Season 4 with the lens of Season 4 being the final season. Season 2 is for me the best season but Season 4 is my favourite to rewatch so I am looking forward to rewatching with you guys! Season 4 feels like its filmed in present day. The format, clothing, lighting, hair is sort of timeless but it also seems nostolgic with a gothy-dark vibe that Season 1 had. I would have loved the series ending at Season 4. Another Season 4 fan I know is West |

We've been re-watching Charmed since 2018 to celebrate Charmed's 20th anniversary. We all get together by 6:00 PM Central time (that might be changed due to different parts of the world going off Daylight Savings Time on different days) both Saturday and Sunday (we re-watch the same episode both days so members have a choice over when they want to re-watch). By then we have our DVDs (or streaming) set up and ready to go. At 6:00 we hit "Start" and watch, posting our comments as we go.
We skip certain holidays and also summer since as always Real Life and our families come first. Summer Reading always sets up the schedule.
It's such fun and we really enjoy it, which is why we'll be starting our fourth year sometime this month, once all of our usual watchers have time again.
We'll let you know - we really hope you guys decide to join us!

I'd just like to mention that if anyone can't make it to either of our two re-watches (6:00 PM Central on Saturday or Sunday), you're more than welcomed to make your own post in our thread for that episode, re-watch the episode and post your comments as you re-watch. We've had a number of members join the re-watch that way, and since I know a lot of members like S4 (I don't, except for Paige, but as usual, I'm an exception to most rules) and/or don't like Prue, this would be a great time to join!
