Would Prue, Piper, and Paige be more powerful? Would Prue be the one who is a fury? How different would the show be?
I've always wondered what would have been if Phoebe died instead, and I honestly wish it happened.

We've discussed that numerous times and usually come up with the idea that it would actually be much better if PIPER had died! The major thing to remember is that when S3 originally aired, Phoebe and Cole were the "It" couple both in S3 and S4 (S5 killed that...) and if you killed off Phoebe, that probably would've ended the series. Not that that would've been a bad thing, but... |

Not that that would've been a bad thing, but... I don't know about Piper dying to be honest. I can't ever imagine Charmed without Piper. Piper is my most favorite sister like Prue is and having Piper killed off would probably make me not wanna watch Charmed ever. I rather perfer if Prue lived or it Phoebe died instead. I always perfer if Prue lived though because I feel like Charmed became all about whitelighters and witchlighters when Paige was introduced. Also the sisterhood was way better with the Original Power of Three. I am actually thinking about a fanfiction were there is a two part episode to "All Hell Breaks Loose" and were Prue survives this time. |

That said, if one of the original three had to die, I would pick Piper. It would eliminate the stories of Wyatt and Chris, and maybe would mean whitelighters would have less influence in the show, since Leo might not stick around after that.
I agree that Piper is really the heart of the show, but to me, that's what makes sense about her being the one to be killed off. It forces the other characters to fill that void themselves. We saw what happened when Prue, the leader, was killed off, and I don't think it went well, although others may disagree.
Then if Phoebe died, we'd lose the spark. That might also be interesting to watch the others try to live without and/or make up for in some way, but if Paige is still their younger half sister and closest in personality to her, she might be seen more as a Phoebe replacement.
I would love to see how things would play out if Piper died, just because of the dramatic dynamics that would be at play. Prue and Phoebe always had a difficult relationship, and it would be all about Prue being unbelievably angry and sad and Phoebe having to be the strong and sensible one while welcoming Paige. Prue and Phoebe would have to learn to work together in a way they hadn't before, each acknowledging that they'd have preferred Piper to live while the other died.
I can't see this working past five seasons, but that might be a good thing, because we'd get the show at its best. If things played out this way, I'd have everything be the same, except Phoebe doesn't lose her baby and ends up having a girl, and she, Prue, and Paige are going to live together in the manor for the foreseeable future and raise the baby together.

Which is why I'm more set in killing her off in S4E20 "Long Live the Queen" instead of S3E22 "All Hell Breaks Loose". I'd rather have Prue live and Paige never introduced as well. See, I like Paige, and would've loved to have seen her interact with Prue. IK people like the Prue, Piper & Phoebe sisterly relationship and all, but I would've loved to have seen that dynamic with Paige, as well. I'm team Prue, Piper & Paige so much, you have no idea LOL     |

I can imagine this how Season 4 would have went without Phoebe. - Prue and Piper would need time to grieve Phoebe, which means Paige doesn't move in as soon as possible. And the Power of Three takes longer to get reconstituted, which is what should have happened. - Shax should get vanquished in Season 4 episode 13 instead of the Source. Then the later half would be fighting the Source. Then have Season 4 end with Prue, Piper, and Paige vanquishing the Source. Season 5 should then be the Cole/Source storyline without all that Phoebe Queen of Underworld stuff of course. - Season 5a in this case without Phoebe would be the Cole/Source storyline and have him vanquished in the 100th episode. The 100th episode would probably include all four sisters together this time. - Then have Season 5b be about the fairytale stuff maybe? With Chris still showing up in the Season 5 finale. - Not sure how the Series would play out from there, but this is how I imagine without Phoebe would go. |
